Very true, they have a selfless President who wants the best for his people and wants to leave a great legacy unlike ours.

I wish the Nigerian government would take a leaf from their book.

I have a family in Rwanda and anytime this guy take pictures I always argue with him being in Europe but lying to us that he's in Africa, but really he's in Rwanda. The country is really doing well.

The country is doing well because they have a very good government who understands that they are they to serve the people and not the other way round like most other African countries.

You see, I know that I have a strong connection with my home...that's why I may not be able to live elsewhere.

I think you people tend to lay emphasis on the positive aspects of living in the advanced countries while you downplay the downsides.

Sincerely, I love this country, and I don't want to live in a place where someone will have to constantly disrespect me because of my skin color or how our leaders have messed up our country.

I want to carry a passport that immigration officers from around the world would have some regards for.

If we all run away from this country, who will fix it? The place we are all running to, some people sacrificed their blood, time, resources and sweat to make it the envy of all.

Like I always tell people, the richest Nigerians live in Nigeria.

Where do they go for health check ups? which hospitals do they deliver their kids in? where do their children attend schools? Are these the characteristics of people who love their country? The richest Nigerians live in Nigeria because their corruption and ill gotten wealth will not be tolerated else where. They will be thrown in jail and not hailed like kings by the same people who they are screwing up their lives.

Sad, I wouldn’t be surprised if this is the case of divorce which will lead to the man losing everything and still pay to support the children.

Honestly nothing should result in a case of killing a mother of your kids

Nothing should result in the case of killing anyone. People who cannot control their emotions, this is the result.

Wow.... deep . Why couldn't they just separate

This problem marriage is not a do or die affair, some people don't know their partners properly. If you haven't seen you otherhalf when he or she is very angry then you don't really know them. So many psychopaths' who cant handle problems when things don't go their way.

Just really sad. Sometimes I wonder what's going on in people's head.

The news circulating locally is that both of them have been having marital problems, the wife is a nurse with Queens hospital in Romford. They have 4 kids age 10-4. Their MIL is visiting from Nigerian and is stuck due to covid. The man calls the woman to chat when she finished her shift and he stabbed her to death in the car and went home to kill himself..

There's nothing from the write up to suggest that the man murdered his wife and himself, as is boldly stated on the title.

That is the news in the paper.

The actual story is that both of them have been having marital problems, the wife is a nurse with Queens hospital in Romford. They have 4 kids age 10-3. Their MIL is visiting from Nigerian and is stuck due to covid. The man calls the woman to chat when she finished her shift and he stabbed her to death in the car at Morrisons and went home to kill himself.

All of you have been carefully avoiding the fact that d living together is going to be for a while not forever,it's clearly written there in the OP's post.
Has he started building his house? Do you know how long it takes to build house in Nigeria on a salary? How do we know that its not an excuse and then it becomes forever, then she cant do anything about it.

Is My Sister Doing The Right Thing? Please Your Advice Is Needed

Advice needed
Don't mind my typo errors.

My sister cancel her wedding plans all because her husband to~be insists they are going to be living with his mum after the wedding before they will build their own house.

Now,my sister said she won't go on with the wedding plans if he didn't rent an appartment, even if it's face-me-i-slap-you room, she will be okay with it,she won't even mind if the mother come to spend days with them.

Is my sister doing the right thing?

I think your sister is very sensible. She is trying to avoid future problems. She might love her future mum-in-law doesn't mean she has got to live with her. The early stages of marriage is vey important, she needs her privacy and her future husband needs to cut the apron strings, it doesn't mean he is abandoning his mum. he needs his space to grow into a proper man and stop being a mummy's boy.

If he has a problem with this, then they are not meant for each other. Marriage is not a do or die affair.

Hello my people. Please is there anyway to check your credit score if you’ve not been resident in the UK for up to 3 years? Clear score is not allowing me to do that.

On your credit score, you check how long you've been on the electoral list.

That is not true, good parents are in every class.

You are right there is good and bad in all classes it all depends on the upbringing, sometimes good parent turn out unruly kids. That's life. Also by giving your kids everything they want and making them too comfortable, most times you are not doing them any favours.

My people o, do we have chartered accountants currently practicing in the UK here. Which is advisable ACCA/ CIMA/ICAEW? Long term opportunities and pay wise?

ACCA is more universal, CIMA has got its limitations (management accounting), ICAEW used to be for the posh English kids, there is also CIPFA which is for the public government bodies but its got its restrictions. I would say the most universal is ACCA.

Is there anyone here regretting relocating to the UK from Nigeria?

If yes, to what extent on a scale of 1-10?

Thanks

I have seen some really nice Nigeria made handbags, I mean high quality but somehow the imported designers always wins.

If you want to help your black community buy local made.

I think all Nigerian Made leather goods have a problem with GUM.

Don't know why

Its better to buy the leather ones that are hand sewn although they are more expensive they last a life time.
