Whether they agree or do not agree, it's about time southern states push for open borders on food importation! We can no more depend on these wild people for our meat! It's dangerous and has turned into a vulnerable situation that is being manipulated even by terrorists! States should now be allowed to import food from any part of the world to augment whatever that's produced locally! Since they have decided not to sell, which by the way is their right, folks should be agitating to be allowed to source their are beef elsewhere! It perfectly makes sense! Boycotting beef altogether doesn't make sense.. It's an essential.. Fulanis didn't invent beef! We are in ECOWAS, there should be freedom of goods, humans and services and all that. We can buy from Ghana, Burkina Faso etc. Or from Argentina and Australia them... It's called trading. It's a question of buying goods with my money! Babangida, Abacha, Nyarko etc..., some of them going on to become the most corrupt faces in the world! That man ruined the PTF; Looted the place down! Used most of the enermous cash there to do projects in the north while the two regions that contributed more to the funds were at the bottom! Buhari is irredeemably parochial and he doesn't hide it! It's the Lagos-ibadan expressway plank of the Nigerian media that took it upon themselves to whitewash his image, burnish his records and thereafter presented him as the new messiah, same way they did with Obasanjo... Deputy Senate Majority Leader and Chairman Senate Committee on Science and Technology, Ajayi Boroffice, confirmed that the countrys space agency that should be employing scientists and engineers are employing graduates of religious studies and other unrelated courses. The senator said the agency needs to be sanitised, adding that presently, such actions amount to misemployment, considering that the support staff of the agency constitutes about 80 per cent of the workforce. He stated that for efficiency, the agency needs scientists to constitute about 70 per cent of the workforce instead of what is in existence at present. Boroffice added that the Independent Corrupt Practices and other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) is presently scrutinising the employment documents of the agency. He said this on Friday in Abuja at the annual national space dialogue/media conference on space science and technology. The Deputy Senate Majority Leader also added that he learnt that people are made to pay between N2 million to N2.5 million for employment, describing it as sad. He said: “How can you be taking people with religious studies in space centre? It is misemployment when the support staff that constitute about 80 per cent are the workforce. It is wrong. “We need experience. We need scientists to constitute about 70% per cent of the workforce but the reverse is the case. “I learnt that the ICPC is around, scrutinising employment documents, I heard employment is earned with N2 million, N2.5 million. It is sad. We have to reexamine ourselves. We have to sanitise the space agency so that we can achieve the purpose of nation itself.” In response, the Minister of Science and Technology, Dr. Ogbonnaya Onu, said the government was determined to correct the mistakes made. ....... I actually don't know what happened but he never needed imo state money! Dude was a multi billionaire before even coming back to imo state in the early 90s.. Was building churches alone, sending kids to school in hordes for free, organizing "palliatives" for local folks every now and then... Very down to earth rich young man whose house was open 24/7 for anybody from anywhere to walk in and demand for delicious meal anytime he's around! Ask around in Ogboko.. Had a relatively good name! So what on earth was he looking for trying to soil his reputation with all these alleged acts of malfeasance? It's the same way I personally feel about Orji Kalus entrance into politics; young, rich, very comfortable... So what else does he want in politics other than to serve and help? Then the corruption cases start to pile up! TRIBALISM: BUHARI BREAKS CIVIL SERVICE RULES, BYPASS CHIZEA TO APPOINT AHMAD AS DG OF SPACE AGENCY President Mohammadu Buhari seems unbothered over his appointments which smacks of nepotism, tribalism and religious bigotry following the naming of Dr. Halilu Shaba Ahmad as the new Director General, DG, of the National Space Research and Development Agency, NARSDA. Buhari had in a letter to the Senate President Ahmed Lawan, asked the Senate to confirm the appointment of Dr. Ahmad as the new DG of NARSDA. But Pointblanknews.com investigations reveal that Ahmad who was first appointed in June 2009 is ranked number five from the December 2018 Staff nominal roll of NARSDA, making him ineligible to be appointed DG based on Civil Service Rules. According to findings, Dr. Francis Chizea Dubem who was first appointed in August 1991 and who was Acting DG after the tenure expiration of Dr. Jonathan Angulu, is ranked number two on the nominal roll of NARSDA. Professor Mohammed Saido Onailo who is ranked number one on the nominal roll has already retired. Dr. Francis Chizea is the most senior officer in NARSDA, according to a memo signed by the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Science and Technology, Dr. M.B Umar in 2019. Sources told Pointblanknews.com that the Chief of Staff to the President, Prof. Ibrahim Gambari, may have influenced the choice of Ahmad. According to sources Ahmad have been bragging to his colleagues in the office how his relationship with Prof. Gambari will secure him the DG of the agency even when he knows he is not in line. The agency had on July 2, 2019, announced the appointment of Mr Jonathan Angulu as an acting Director-General to facilitate a seamless transition process between the outgone DG and an incoming one. Mr Jonathan handed over to Dr Ahmad two days earlier to continue in an acting capacity until the Federal Government appointed a substantive Director-General. In a dramatic and unexpected turn of events, the Federal Government reversed the appointment of Dr. Ahmad. The reason adduced for this decision was that the appointment of Dr. Ahmad “was made in violation of civil service regulation and amounted to an infraction of regulatory policies”. Sources told Pointblanknews.com that Ahmad kept on pushing and lobbying, using his contacts in the Presidency. According to a source, “he hardly comes to the office. He is always at the Presidential Villa lobbying for a position that he is not qualified for. He claims that the Chief of staff to the President is related to his mother and that nothing can stop him from getting the appointment against civil service rules.” Ahmad is from Lapai in Niger State while Chizea is from Aniocha in Delta State. Job for the boys... Few days ago, it was reported here that there are recent employees in that very space agency that are graduates of agric science and other non related courses like religious studies... I wouldn't be surprised if there are graduates of Koranic education at managerial positions in the Nigerian space agency too! Obviously, the confused one is not interested in your dramatic space program. Buhari is just interested in creating openings in every agency to employ his fulani brethren. At the rundown airport in Kano, food items destined for the south are being stopped and confiscated by supposedly accredited government officials of the airport! This happens openly and in the full glare of the watching public! It obviously means that the evil, devilish and wicked scorched earth policies of this evil regime to cow the south and force folks to allow killer herdsmen run amock down south has the tarcit support of the rogues at Aso rock! This country is in a major crises, instigated intentionally by the Buhari regime, a regime that will go down in history as the most vile and the most inept on the face of the earth.. Moving forward,. It is now time to open the borders and allow folks to buy foodstuffs from neighboring african states! The government can not close the borders, invest massively in dams and irrigation in the North, then turn around to help northern farmers impose sanctions on the south. We are not going to starve because the fulanis don't want to sell! It's now time to make the importation of beef an open venture. Many countries have beef of better quality and at cheaper prices too! Folks need to protest to be allowed to import the food they need and stop talking about the boycott of beef! Beef is an essential part of a complete diet! Background info: Hope Uzodinmma is a certified 419er in the mould of say Chris Uba of Anambra state. Ditto the former governor of Imo state who also came into power by mistake, Ohakim! Since the days of Arthur Nzeribe, Imo state has struggled with these kind of characters politically, winning some but losing out many times. Most of these characters were recruited by Abuja, armed with soldiers and mobile police men to go and hyjack the political structure in the state.. Under Ohakim, they were basically sharing the state allocations every month end. Okorochas first tenure opened people's eyes to the fact that the state actually sees some money every month end... How is this related to the topic? Amongst the most notorious 419ers from imo state is the man who hyjacked the traditional stool of Obinugwu Ihite Owerri. His name is Cletus Ilomuanya... He was made the south east head of the traditional rulers committe during Jonathan's tenure. He is/was so active in Imo politics that he had a very nasty running battle with Okorocha untill he was demoted from the position of the chairman Imo state council of Chiefs by Okorocha. Ihite Owerri is in Orlu zone. Hope Uzodinmma is from Orlu zone! Rochas Okorocha is also from Orlu zone! Essentially, the crooks and brigands that have hyjacked power in imo state with the help of the "hunters bag" carrying supreme Court Justice are now going for overkill by trying to destroy Okorocha politically! Whether Okorocha deserves that or not is a story for another day! What is very important here is that some ruthlessly evil minds are in charge in Imo state and nothing going on is a fight against bad governance during Okorochas regime or the evil APC.
