Well...
Inasmuch as this avoidable loss is very unfortunate and irreparable for the families concerned and moreso the Nigerian security circle especially at this time when we're facing unprecedented and multi-faceted security challenges, which makes it the worst time to lose our best hands and at our own hands in such a tragic manner, the following points need to be made.
1. Our security forces are too itchy fingered. I doubt there's any country in the world whose security open fire at the slightest nudge like Nigeria. From protests to dissent, any confrontation with our security forces be it police or army is always met with brute force with no restraint.
2. Nigeria is militarised. In the US, the military is not even allowed to combat internal security issues. Here, we have military ops in 26 out of 36 states. This makes our society a testing ground for shootings and a killing field where no one is immune to the trigger.
3. Our NSA is more of a political office than an operational one. That's why we can have an ongoing covert operation and the active military personnel in the area are not aware. The ONSA in Nigeria has been so bastardised it only exists to serve the president's whims and not coordinate the affairs of security agencies. I believe this is why our security challenges continue to mount and fester. The ONSA is simply not effective.
4. Human lives are cheap in Nigeria. Maybe because of our high population, but you see people die in Nigeria in a most avoidable manner.
5. Our security agencies all need proper orientation on rules of engagement for each situations they find themselves. They have come to believe in the rifle more than their senses in The course of duty
That your no2 is so true. U.S too far, ghana our neighbour the military dont get involve in internal matters, you hardly see the military patroling.

Anybody operating under a youth body henceforth will be arrested by security agencies. Before you contest for any youth body’s leadership, you must send the names to the DSS and Police for screening. If they are cultists, we will not allow them to operate,” he said.

Foolishness at it's peak!
Even the Bible says Heaven helps those who helps themselves... Many people are just stupid all in the name of being born again Christians. SMH!
He should continue to show off his faith in the grave. Nonsense and Maggi!

By the way, i keep saying this, Nairaland Front Page is gradually becoming a dump site for expired/old news... Most things i read here lately are usually posted on some other popular places hours or even days before they get here. For instance, this particular news was already on Instablog9ja on Instagram since yesterday and now just making it here... Shiorr
I relied so much on nairaland for firsthand news. But lately i get embarrassed when i tell my frnds a trending story on nairaland and dey reply '' that na old news''.

There is no way they could have captured the girl turning, the car dropped the headless girl off and zoomed off, immediately the body touched the ground, it turned into a headless snake within seconds, I was there live, Bro... It happened, nobody expected the events to turn in few seconds, so that moment was not captured
And you saw the headless body dropping off from the car?..How can you tell is a male or female

Ships used to reach Okrika steady to load oil at Okrika port/ NNPC jetty. Okrika will take a vessel with 9 metres draft below water level. The reason I say maybe Okrika is because they said the accident happened in PH, and Okrika is the closest point to PH where a large ship may travel. Okrika waters will swallow this vessel easily.

See up to Okrika bridge below, anywhere South of that feels like high sea and is choppy like high sea also.
No bro okrika waters wont swallow it. I am in okrika
