you can take ibuprofen 20 minutes before the X-ray for the cramp. you will only notice the pain during the spillage of the dye thats all. I was afraid of the pain too is normal.

Thank you. Well, twas just a bit discomforting but not painful experience to me. Maybe cos am already used to experiencing worse pain during AF, maybe cos an expert did it or maybe cos my tubes are open. I also read somewhr wen I was doing research on it dat it's usually more painful for people wt blocked tubes. Forget about d devices, just make up ur mind to do it if u know u want to do it. The whole thing took about 10mins or less (that was just my own experience though). HSG at mecure (where I did mine) is 20k.

I can't pinpoint what really worked for me but I believe strongly that God just made everything - my prayers, HSG, bromegon etc to work together for my miracle.

What is a hysterosalpingogram?

A hysterosalpingogram, or HSG is an important
test of female fertility potential. The HSG test is
a radiology procedure usually done in the
radiology department of a hospital or outpatient
radiology facility.
Radiographic contrast (dye) is injected into the
uterine cavity through the vagina and cervix
The uterine cavity fills with dye and if the
fallopian tubes are open, dye fills the tubes and
spills into the abdominal cavity
This shows whether the fallopian tubes are open
or blocked and whether a blockage is at the
junction of the tube and uterus (proximal) or at
the other end of the tube (distal).

I have read about HSG online and watched the procedure on youtube but the whole process looks scary. I want to go for HSG test to know if my tubes are ok since it is the best thing to do for those of us that are TTC

Honey I'll be honest with you. Monitoring ovulation after ttc for 4 months? You are creating pressure and anxiety and cortisol reduces the chance of implantation. Pls enjoou the kpekusing and lef matter for God.
As for the drugs for ovulation, by medical standards , u start that aafter trying to concieve (ttc) for At least a year and the side effects include messing up your lovely cycle.
As you were really proactive to check ovulation, maybe u guys should also do a s.perm analysis?

Av been TTC for 4 mnths and hubby really want me to conceive early.... I went for scan on the 5th of dis mnth and dat was d day I started OV. D sonographer tld me av released an egg waiting to be fertilized. I did all d needful. My point nw is dat av not seen any preggy symptom.
Av also notice dat a lot of abbrev av been used on dis thread and I dnt understand most of dem. Please wat kind of fertility drug can be use to enhance quick conception.

I feel d pain during my ovulation period and few days to my menstrual period buh dis is kind of diff.
I started ovulation on the 5th of dis mnth and I shld av finished ovulating by nw. I still dnt understand y I still feel d pain so much and cramping too

The cyst is cyclical, meaning it grows and shrinks at every interval. Any drug that wld inhibit its growth wld have anovulatory effect(meaning it may hinder ovulation).
Like I said, the size is small enough to have little impact.

I'll presume your tubes are okay, since PID infection was ruled out. You can run HSG to be sure if you want.
The cyst, depending on the size, may interfere with ovulation. But yours seems small enough to have little impact.

What I can make out from the report is that you have a small cyst in your left ovary. If the sonographer said you've ovulated, the question is....when? But If the egg was released today, then you have today, tomorrow, and probably the next, to have intercourse. If it was released before today, say yesterday, then you have today, and probably tomorrow, to have intercourse, and hopefully it leads to fertilization.
