Very spirited display by UTD - 1 man down and we never relented in taking the game to the opposition; O'neal was right in a sense to "play it safe" because UTD can be very devastating on the break!

Time to take a breather and get set for Everton.

Back to the chase again. . . . now its more of securing a UCL spot than challenging for the La liga title, no thanks to Jimenez's myopic world views angry

But on the flip side, things have been on the up lately for the club both on and off the field grin

BOND MARKET GIVES THUMBS DOWN TO UNITED – 3/2/10

Things may be looking up on the pitch for Manchester United, but the market doesn't like their bonds very much. Of course, the club has already trousered the money, but they may find it more challenging if they come back to the market in the future. The bonds have become one of the worst performers this year. Of course, they were mainly bought for the interest 'coupon' rather than capital gain. However, the sterling bonds have fallen to just 93 per cent of the value. If the investor had splashed out around £100,000, they would have already made a paper loss of £5,000. The dollar denominated bonds have done slightly better with the bid price falling to 94.5 per cent of face value. Analysts suggested the bonds had been priced too highly at launch and also referred to the lack of a credit rating. However, the club has no plans to return to the market and it has been suggested that a greater priority is placating fans angered by the bond issue. Their reaction has reached the point where it threatens to cause reputational damage to the club and no global brand wants that.

Nani most def. . . . but i would like to see Valencia out on the left cutting in and taking on some shots a'la CR7 - lets see how effective that makes our attacks.

Pompey is definitely not one we should approach with the cagey 1-man upfront tactic. . . . . put 2-up (Rooney/Berba) and then give Diouf/Owen a chance if the game's almost home and dry!

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Inter Coach Jose Mourinho: ‘we Would Have Won Milan Derby With Seven Men’ by RuuDie(m): 8:38pm On Jan 25, 2010
Milan really lack depth and without Pato, Seedorf their play has become very skewed in 1-direction Ronaldinho. Its all very predictable into Dinho and then onto the general direction of Borriello in the box & thats why they've won so many PKs in the past weeks but a very experienced side can deal with that.

As for JM, he's got a good squad no doubt - strong in depth but he met a very poor milan side on the night but no shakes, he's got the bragging rights.

The red card was very, very deserved - sneijder with all his experience should know better than to do what he did in the ref's face. . . . i thot that was a good ref'ing decision there!

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Manchester United V Hull City [4 - 0] On Saturday 23rd Jan by RuuDie(m): 10:27am On Jan 25, 2010
Nani's pretty much okay left or right; although he's shown he's far better on the right. . . . just needs a ig confidence booster & i hope this game gives him a bit of that!

Valencia on the other hand, should try to be a lot more versatile - switch wings, go out to the left and play from there, it'd favor him more to cut in and do whatever he feels like - he's just too "1-way-ish" and that can be very frustrating when your scope has "ka'na-ed" by the opposition.

Sweet victory nonetheless. . . . . but whats this gist about Vidic heading for Barca very soon & Chiellini in to replace him huh
