After completion of this Nairobi expressway - end of this year - Nairobi will just need light rail extending to all it's metro (we have functioning nairobi commutter rail that aims to carry 30K daily) - and few BRTS - and it will be up there with best cities in the world
The road will be taller than anything in the midget country of Ghana
The usual Ghana fuzzy maths. When I last checked Aluminum smelting took like 1000mw.
Just30: mining industry is not connected to the grid and their energy consumption is below 10MW combine They all have their sub grid from which they sell their excess power into the national grid.
WB think RSA last year declined by -7.8%. Let just say this stuff is beyond your paygrade. I see the Rand has recovered - so let just say you're also about 10% down this year.
The Rand has dropped by 8% in 2020 the Shilling as dropped by 10%? So by your definition how the fvck did SAs gdp drop by 30%
Also you clearly haven't checked SA recent GDP growth statistics
Gross domestic product (GDP) grew by an estimated 13,5% in the third quarter, giving an annualised growth rate of 66,1%.1 This follows the significant slump of 16,6% (annualised: -51,7%) in the second quarter during the most restrictive months of the lockdown (April, May and June).
In other words South Africas economy is set to grow in 2020 instead of declining
Wuoche: Too many words with nothing to show for it. If you can't provide any data then I'll have no choice but to believe Ghana's ministry of roads. Ghana only have 70,000km of road network of which 27% of it is tarmacked.
Just30: too bad your entire country has consistently been saved by just Accra.
So kenya itself is an irrelevant country on the continent One that is not as developed nor mature to even stand on it feet.
no Kenya is sub saharan largest non mineral economy .The pride of Africa as kQ proudly proclaims. Mugabe famously said if you want to go to London go to Nairobi instead
Your Nairobi is nowhere to Accra in that space so, let's give you Cameroon, maybe you will do better than them in that space.
Basically your entire Nairobi is in one frame.
Even small Accra, you cant fit it into a single frame.
video and pictures challenges you always fail..talk is cheap. You can mouth anything midget but try drone footage .One picture is better than a thousand word but one video is maybe a million of your useless words
Shma2020: there are only two cities which are ahead of Nairobi. jorburg and Capetown are the only city that can show Nairobi dust. The rest like Durban and Pretoria are more like Windhoek and Kigali only that those two got some skyscrapers.
CapeTown is beautiful but doesn't have Nairobi scale.
Best 3 mega cities in Africa has to be Joburg,Cairo and Nairobi.Megaslums..Lagos , Kinshasa and Darsallem.Beautiful modern has to start from CapeTown and any of magreb..Tunis,Algiers and magreb. The smaller clean Cities..Widhoek,Port Louis and even Kigali
Economy - is Production (quantity) times Prices (currency matters). Obviously currency doesn't affect the amount of Mumu you can spew but if you attempt to sell it - that is something else.
Nominal GDP is USD.
Currency doesn't depreciate for nothing - it's indication of economic slug.
Vlain: Shma2020 claimed Ur GDP is now $109bn.lmao that boy is so olodo ehnnn. Btw very ret@rded of to imply that currency depreciation declines the economy. Very mumu talk.smh
We are talking exports - who is buying Nigeria ships outside Nigeria. Name ships building companies. How many units they shipped the 'ships and boats'.
Abohboy: Nigeria has been building military ships multiple frigates there are private companies doing the same you can research the data, but according to the data from 2012 Nigeria was the largest producer of ships
Innoson only imports the engines, it isn’t a matter of Chinese stuff it is a matter of not having designers, the cars are made in Nigeria then engines and hydraulics are imported because those cannot be made and it would be expensive to get local car designers.
Show us pictures of those ships and boats; name the companies; give us the data; which countries have bought those ships.
3B dollars worth of ships and boats - is HUGE HUGE
And as for Innoson - that is basically re-exporting chinese bootleged stuff - who buys it - only god knows.
Abohboy: As of 2012 Nigeria was the 20th largest exporter of ships and boats go and check the data, it has now been 8 years do the math, innoson produces spare plane and fighter jet parts and they export these to countries like Ghana and Morocco.
It's doing terrible - -1% plus -10% - so yes we are back to 89-90B. But south Africa at -8% plus rand depriciation of -20% (not checked recently) is still 30% - and your nominal gdp has dropped by whopping 1/3 - in one year - that is loosing 115B dollars - an economy bigger than kenya - so right now your GDP is not even 250B. If you're not careful - it could drop below 200B this year - and Kenya may overtake you quicker than 2035.
jln115: lol how is Kenyan GDP going wrt your Exchange rate dropping by 10% this year?
