I see it's about 2B dollars - in 2019 budget - with 8B cedis (about 1.5B to roads) 8 billion for roads den infrastructure. Also, Finance Minister reveal say di 2019 budget allocate 12.8 billion as capital expenditure which go take construct roads across di country and also put up other infrastructure which be necessary. https://www.bbc.com/pidgin/46215770 |
Ghana has offered Ghana? Where is some budget data to support 5B dollars infrastructure spend. Unless you budgeted the 2B from China this year. Just30: |
For argument sake 1dollar is 100 Kshs. Unless you're interested in nitpicking and cherrypicking like Obaboon. As you can see Kenya is spending 5-6B dollars on infrastructure. Ghana had to sell Bauxite to get 2B dollars. Your economy cannot generate taxes. It's informal. Based on informal squalor. Remove mineral taxes and royalties...and it's dead as dodo. Wizzzzmike: |
While Ghana has to mortgage Bauxite to get 2B dollars. Kenya annually spend nearly 6B on infrastructure. All these from non-mineral - just taxes and debt. https://cytonnreport.com/storage/research/5bd5279c2f6101.84289157.png Counties in Nairobi Metro - spend another nearly 1B dollars annually on the same https://cytonnreport.com/storage/research/5bd527a658d729.17979275.png |
Kenya roads that are paved - excluded county roads. These roads are 21,000kms. Those are highways (KENHA), rural roads (KERRA) and urban roads (KURA). Now if you go to say Nairobi - Nairobi County has their own roads that are paved - maybe 7,000 in Nairobi alone. These don't count because the roads are not under any authority to collate the figures. Each of the 47 counties have their own county roads. And this exclude roads in estates and access roads - where developer has to pave them - on their own. Just30: |
Dream on. Kenya is very very resilient. We don't depend on minerals. Samorobo2: |
We have 245,000 kms of road. You have what 70K. We spend a lot more maintaining rural roads than your spend mortaging your minerals to chinese for roads. Our budget is nearly 33B dollars. Yours is about half that. Just30: |
Underwhelming. Where is all that gold going? Appisko: |
Kenya gov has been sending 1K (10 dollars) weekly to slum household (0.35M) during covid https://www.nation.co.ke/kenya/business/state-to-end-sh1000-per-week-stipend-for-the-poor-in-october--1918354 |
LOL. It took exactly one second to go through the decent part of Ghana.Shma: |
When you start building 400m, 500m,700M worth of 30km roads - come and talk development. What is 2B dollars that you got for Bauxite. We spend about the same annually on our roads. You have never seen development in your life because when Nkummah was building Volta dam you were not around. Now you 50% living in urban squalor - worst than any of countries here. All you can do is run to Banana Island in Lagos for solace. Just30: |
When a dwarf talks about physical development we want to laugh. Your best city is not even Mombasa level. God only knows what is physical development that we haven't been shown - Real estate zero Road infrastructure - zero Railways Name it - zero. Maybe the grotesque kenke dress? I mean you are under IMF nearly every two years. The last development you saw in Ghana was the Volta dam in 1960Just30: |
Two Rivers sit on 200 acres- by the time it complete - it would make Menroe park a joke. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dtC3iQIg3kM

Kilimani is slowed down by zoning and approval. Once they allow high rises beyond the Yaya roundabout - Kilimani will grow. And the roads are also terrible. Shma: |
This kid has insane video editing skills. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TGUgRzAuiN0 Shma: |
Nairobi will soon show dust Joburg dust. We just need the railway city and the 500K housing scheme to come to fruition. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EuoAznN-Alc&t=109s |
The anecdotal evidence, pictures and videos don't support all those claims. We know for example all your electricity connection come to 4m. We also know you have 30m people - that would mean - total household at 6-7m So you're just about half connected them. You have maybe 10M Ghanians without electricity at min. South Africa has 55m - with about 16M metered connections. Kenya has 47M - with now nearly 8M metered connections. Kenya power company use to claim we were 75% - but Census told us - nope - we are at 55-60%. And if you see - we have what 12M household (48/4) - so it make some sense. We still have to connect 4M household to power - or about 16M kenyans (about the same number who are poor) Figures or data without real development is waste of our time Now look at Nairobi for evidence of development https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CCyNXIpgBEs Just30: |
Stop lying in the era of internet. The re-introduction of dumsor in 2019 without publishing the requisite load shedding schedule came Just30: |
I wish we can say the same of anywhere in Ghana. Just30: |
Kilimani is coming soon...soon to join westland and upperhill...for proper CBD. Shma: |
Show me video like the many you have seen in Kenya. Nairobi was named 14th most ecofriendly country in the WORLD. Don't waste our time. Samorobo2: |
Problemkid1:Every slumplolis has such section of road heading to president or governors office or residence or the airport or oil companies |
Dumsor. They have a name for it. In Kenya load shedding is long forgotten. Only power cuts are mainly maintenance related. POKUASI2: |
What about the Sahara dusty winds ![]() Look at Nakuru - you see trees, grass, etc Nakuru also boast of Lake Nakuru with it's national park - the 2nd most visited park in Kenya after Maaasa Mara https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/6/67/Nakuru_montage.png/800px-Nakuru_montage.png Samorobo2: |
It's true. I posted video of ABuja here - and I was told sijui hamattan - or whatever Sahara winds Shma: |
Nakuru is better looking than Abuja. Your west africa Slumpolis is making you irrational. As for Nakuru size. Nakuru is 40km wide..20km from each end to the CBD. That is not a small city. The drone cannot cover Nakuru is one go. The Africatrallever has basically covered the CBD. Samorobo2: |
1 min 26 seconds - Do you know videos are actually edited. The usual excuses. Watch Nakuru from aerial from 9:54. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ud8dAk_zW28 Samorobo2: |
Nakuru Town (city now). 4th Kenya largest city. Sits on fault line and max of 10 floors allowed. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ud8dAk_zW28 |
