Yes Mombasa is better than Abuja - and Dar (maybe slightly bigger) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1BPHEbadPuY |

Kenya is home to kikuyu grass - that makes for great lawn grass - some greenery from kenya

Look shady for a new planned city. The Urban sprawl like kampala. Nigeria need to invest in high rises and apartments...to solve that housing crisis. A tenant build a house so he can stay in. Or rent demand of 2yrs are just insane. popizaino: |
Nigeria have rolling blackout on almost daily basis lasting half a day. We are incredibly fortunate but KPLC starting to have financing issues....and having issues replacing transformers in rural areas Shma: |
Average power blackouts in Nairobi..2hrs a month ..that 2hrs out 720 hours..power available 99.7% https://nation.africa/kenya/business/power-outages-likely-nairobi-estates-2245310 |
Ghana contract by 10 percent in 2nd Quarter https://www.ghanaweb.com/GhanaHomePage/business/Ghana-records-10-6-economic-contraction-in-2nd-quarter-of-2020-1024309#:~:text=Ghana%20records%2010.6%25%20economic%20contraction%20in%202nd%20quarter%20of%202020,-Listen%20to%20the&text=The%20BoG's%20Composite%20Index%20of,the%20previous%2012%20month%20period. |
Yes, look pretty cheap. tylann: |
Nairobi Western part - near completion. The last jigsaw in 100Km ringroad around Nairobi City. Then we have Greater Nairobi By-pass that hopefully they will embark on - and something like Greater London M25 - an orbit around Nairobi Metro would be great. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y-1JoYpDh_U |
This joke is now the largest university in East Africa. Really KaziKazi. Look like a cheaper version of KU main campus. https://i2.wp.com/www.eafinder.com/tz/wp-content/uploads/sites/12/2019/02/13237842_1170148546336858_1002490791877260645_n.jpg?fit=960%2C540&ssl=1 https://photos.wikimapia.org/p/00/05/66/85/67_big.jpg |
Largest university in East Africa - some jokes. Even if that was true - we know it's false - Dodoma does not need trains. This just communism where resources are thrown around carelessly. Fix DarsSlum. Next Zanzibar. Maybe even Arusha and Moshi. Kazikazi: |
Dodoma is cattle kraal. who will be using the trains. Why not invest the same in Dar. You want to replicate Abuja dead city in nowhere. Kazikazi: |
Worse than Somalia. True if you consider more than 8M North Eastern Nigeria are under Boko Haram and the maybe a similar number in the middle belt and the south from Fulani herdsmen. SUFFERInSMILIIN: |
Yes the 2nd hand spanish trains have arrived. We really need more of these 2nd hand trains...and have proper a train every 30mins..hourly is good start. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9CaAINYVrMY tylann: |
Nairobi just need to invest a lot more on water, serious railway/btr, and paving of walkways and pathways - otherwise it nearly there. The metro is some way to go - the roads there need huge investment Shma: |
Just watched it. Kibera and Nairobi slum are nothing compared to Nigeria slumpolis Shma: |
I blame the pidgin. They built a lavatory instead of Laboratory. Very similar sounding. They must have said to the contract - build us a state of art lavatory - and they got one. SUFFERInSMILIIN: |
Sudan is kaput. The Sudanese pound has plunged from 50 to 240 against the dollar in the year since a transitional government took over after the April 2019 fall of autocrat Omar al-Bashir. https://nation.africa/kenya/news/africa/sudan-declares-economic-emergency-as-currency-plunges-1937260 |
Anguka is free in California - evading justice. kikuyu1: |
kikuyu1:Ouko was killed by his neighbour Nakuru DC jonah ANGUKA for screwing his wife.Anguka wife was Ouko PA and they were neighbours.Ouko was a womanizer.Anguka that day travelled to Goru, called Ouko for a walk and murdered him before rushing back to Nakuru ..his office station |
You'll grow up kid, don't worry. tylann: |
Uhuru is going home - so you got to pick a new devil btw Raila and Ruto. tylann: |
Well, it will be caught. I think Jubilee did silently re-base the agriculture prices and sector jumped from 23% to 30% of the economy - everything else is pretty solid. And agriculture has enjoyed unprecedented rainfall for nearly 5yrs - so production figures are solid. tylann: |
Probably - we took in 4B dollars from IMF, WB and donors. But I am curious why 2nd Q data for Kenya is not out in September. 2nd Q ended in June. tylann: |
Uhuru is biggest looter. If you want to find the looting index in Kenya. Find the richest politician. Kenyattas are no 1. Their land holdings alone would put them in Africa top 10. Next would be Mois. Both Mois and Kenyattas are extremely wealthy. tylann: |
Interesting. Corona doesn't help. We have situation where exiting power is fearful like it was in 2002. They cannot trust Raila. Seem they have lost trust in Ruto. They may try to prop another candidate but we know that will not work - with 50% plus 1 requirement. So we are back to Fragile Nations Index...as for economy...Uhuru talked about 4% growth. I am not sure from where. The rains the last four years have been great....so maybe agricluture? Otherwise every other sector is crying....real tears. Saddamochieng00: |
Yes, it probable, Uhuru seem to be btw a rock and a hard place as he get to choose Ruto or Raila - and knowing how shabbily they have treated them - he is now in dillemma. Some in Moi camp in 2002 wanted the military to take over rather than Kibaki - for fear of retribution. The next two years will be interesting - with covid and all the chaos - our economy may not recover - until 2023 - and this will be so tragic. Saddamochieng00: |
Military will never be an answer. Private sector has enough talent. If not float an international advert for the job and hire experts or management companies. tylann: |
The road to hell is paved with good intention. There is good reason why military has been kept in the barracks and why kenya has not had military take over and resultant chaos. Ask Nigerians who are messed up largely because of that. Military should quickly be sent back to barracks and kept there. If Uhuru GENUINELY WANTS TO fix Nairobi or KMTC - there are many good people out there with right skills. The more they run civilian sectors - the more we okay a military take over in case of a small political crisis. After military take over - you'll understand dictatorship. tylann: |
