tylann:I am sure he doesn't know what you're talking about.every Kenya has to fill tax return..even if it's nill returns |
vaxx1:nobody like paying taxes..educated or not.. enforcement is lacking. |
theenchanter:international poverty line as definited by WB is 1.9 dollars a day a person and it uses ppp...so look for another excuse why 90m Nigerians are poor...start from electing stupid corrupt leaders |
theenchanter:you're an idiot..1.9 for poor..about a dollar for extreme..search international poverty line..3 dollars is nearly middle class |
Hi Kazikazi:Just because some few Kenyans living in deserts unkown to you starve once in a while doesn't mean Kenyans starve...we consumed more milk than anybody else in Africa...more meat than anyone except ghanias..name it..we are succeeding in fight against malnutrition..and it's delibating mental and physical stunting that is so prevalent in Tanzania |
TayserMahri:mental retardation at 35% thanks to poor nutrition in rural Tanzania.Cant even figure out how to jack a car...crazy.The same with physical stunting...they need to improve their nutrients intake |
Kazikazi:how will you fake USD against tshs...you can fake gdp figures like magufuli will...but look at Sudan or Angola..you currency will crash ...and like nyerere took you to bankruptcy... magufuli will do it |
Nigeria need to raise sin tax on beer and remove stuff like fuel subsidies otherwise these idiots will not wake up sober any time soon after consuming copious amounts of cheap sorghum beer...they take Guinness like water and then add codeine..and you wonder not why they are getting deeper n depeer into poverty hole.Kenya beer is damn expensive....coz you want people sober. |
gallivant:They use to shout we will overtake Kenya...now Kenya gdp is twice theirs and Imf said they will join Nigeria in recession...now gdp is crap |
theenchanter:actually 2 dollars..and 1 dollar for absolutely poor like 60% of Nigeria. And poverty analysis uses ppp...currency deflator if you will...so Nigeria is in very bad place....with nearly 100m absolutely extremely poor people.at least 8m are internal refugees failed by Nigeria army, they depends on United Nations to survive. |
theenchanter:As long as you have poverty on such scale slums are inevitable...Abuja already teams with slums. You need to plan some serious social housing in such scale you're not capable... because big cities will attract poor people looking for opportunities...so few cities in developing countries can managed semblance of what Nairobi has achieved....forests and animals park would be the first to go.. |
theenchanter:Slum is side effects of strict zonning in poor country.Your cities slums and poor are integrated in fufu like concotion except in some few exlusive islands. This true in most Africa cities without a master plan. |
Nairobi master plan 1947.Then 1973.Then 2014.That was largely adhered to...which why many cities have tried to copy Nairobi..the city with everything. |
theenchanter:find a non Nigeria who can validate your claim and I can entertain your nonsense. You build Abuja because fixing your rusted iron sheet slumpolis is impossible.Nairobi became a planned city in 1940s way before it got it city charter in 1950s under the Brits. |
Maybe you mean the only plan slumpolis in Nigeria.Nairobi was always a planned city.It had master plan as early as 1947.Cities like Singapore copied Nairobi master plan in 1970s.Nairobi has everything. The only city with animal park..not a zoo..in the world..Nairobi has everything to make a great city.Slums grew in valleys and shadows of Nairobi as population explousion and poverty set in 90s...but they are 1% of Nairobi.Nairobi is not comparable to any Naija slumpolis.South Africa cities .Nairobi has always been the London of Africa.Nairobi still enforce strict conning. Its master plan I think has been edited 3 times..40s..70s and recently.. NigeriaIsDoomed: |
Maybe rated by Nigerians after one too many codein. You need to reduce drug in take...your beer consumption is out of charts before we factor hard drugs. Its akin to Somalia who think their country is okay theenchanter: |
Very funny.Stop taking codein.or at least reduce the dossage.Abuja is one of Africa worst cities only comparable to her neighbors Banjui or Niamey. samsobo24: |
Monumental waste of money.Nearly 1b dollars rail that ferries 400 passenger to the airport daily. That explain why Nigeria is so poor.If it's was corruption alone it would okay like Kenya which is a thriving swamp of graft. But if you compound corruption with wanton waste of resources like this...1b in dead city rail..that itself cost 38b..as Lagos rots away..8b dollars in rusted steel mill in Ajeukota.. and billion dollars wasted in similar grandiose projects executed by Nigeria muscle men... one of Africas least education political leadership which explain why Nigeria is now the world poverty capital despite natural resources only comparable to equally hopless DRC Congo and the fools down in Tanzania.Nigeria has earned more than 1 trillion dollars from hydrocarbons and has absolutely nothing to show for it...beyond rusted iron sheet 68816419: |
Yes a Kenya private earn more than a Nigeria major ![]() tylann: |
AfriAsia 2017 report clearly states that - This study also concluded that the African luxury sector generated approximately US $6.0 billion in revenue in 2017. This figure includes luxury cars, luxury clothing & accessories, luxury watches, private jets, yachts and luxury hotels and lodges. The largest luxury markets by revenue were: South Africa, Kenya, Nigeria, Morocco and Egypt. Note: luxury sector revenue is boosted by a large luxury hotel sector in these countries theenchanter: |
Nice...we are doing good in proteins - milk and meat. Jonraid: |

There are lots of stats out there...what is not in dispute - Slums occupy 5% of Nairobi residential areas - and 1% of Nairobi Land mass. I am not sure how 1% of Nairobi landmass - all consisting of single units (not multi-storey) - can host 65% of the population. Those are just statistics that Nairobi NGOS use to peddle to attract donor funding. The same people who made Kibera the biggest slum - by claiming that 2Kms 2 of land hosted 1.5M people - improbable - when Census was done - the whole of Kibera Constituency (not just the slum) - had 190,000 people only - you can probably claim Kibera then had like 150,000 people. As regard to Nigeria slum cities - that another ball game - it's like 95% are slums - and 5% is non-slum. As of now Kenyan slums enjoy 24hrs electricity and mostly all have running water. They are just built in illegal gov lands hence built of temporary structures for fear of eviction. 68816419: |
You're mixing - wealth report - and luxury good market. According to Mauritus AfriAsia bank report - Kenya is second to South Africa in luxury goods market. theenchanter: |
It possible - ngos who were passing such alarmist stats - are responsible for such claims. NairobiWalker: |
