Kenya ranked 2nd after South Africa in luxury goods market. Nigeria the HQ of poverty trailing https://businesstoday.co.ke/kenyans-cant-help-but-live-the-high-life/ |
KaziKazi - when you have nothing to be proud of and allow the green-eyed monster to consume you- then you'll hate successful upwardly mobile ambitious go-getters like kenyans - who speak better English ( than you.Ohoo you really hate that. Learn from Kenyans - and maybe you'll be a little aggressive, a little ambitious and a little hardworking - and of course less suspicious and jealous.Obviously you cannot handle Nigerians - they are very aggressive and mostly up-to no goods - but maybe we can teach you how to deal with Nigerians - our police force first bankrupts them - and then deported (or worse) them when they are too broke to afford paying protection fee. Actually, I think we stopped deporting them - we were spending 5M dollars on air tickets to Lagos and as soon as they land - they comeback through border towns in TZ & Uganda - so now - we just send them to prison. |
Nigeria - print these as postcard - here is another super-corrupt mostly semi-arid country without minerals that hacks it.

Nigeria - All the oil in the world and all the poverty in the world - the irony of our times. Kenya dry as it - with no minerals or oil - still kick arse - THE LARGEST NON-MINERAL ECONOMY IN AFRICA

In renders and pictures - absolutely - you can dream anything - but in reality Eko City more than 10yrs later - is just two lonely completed towers. Nairobi CBD exists : big difference. spendoon: |
She worked in Nigeria - and is not really a tourist - more an aid worker killed. forgiveness: |
You need to do more than 1 day or week events. You need to fix insecurity so tourist can visits for vacation. What you have is few business-type visitors attending events and conferences - not tourist. Tourist should stay at least for 2 weeks. Your one-day visitors doesn't count as tourism 68816419: |
You're absolutely correct: The majority of tourists to Nigeria are from nearby countries like Benin, Niger, Liberia, Cameroon, Chad and Sudan from where access to Nigeria is easy. http://www.wesgro.co.za/pdf_repository/Tourism%20Market%20Insights%20Nigeria%202017.pdf Jonraid: |
Suleiman Shahbal who lost the Mombasa governoship to Joho aptly describes Tanzania. https://hashtagsquare.co.ke/wp-content/uploads/2017/09/Hon.-Suleiman-Shahbal-Biography.jpg Closer to home we have two interesting examples. Tanzania avoided the plague of tribalism and religious divisions that continue to haunt us. We don’t know what tribe Magufuli is and the Tanzanians don’t seem to care. Is there one national leader in Kenya whose tribe you don’t know? Yet Tanzania with triple our arable land, minerals all over the country and blessed with so much more than Kenya has less than half our GDP. Despite the liberalization of the 1990’s they have still not managed to shake off the Socialist mentality that impedes fast decision making necessary for successful business development. Rwanda is a classic example of what can go so wrong in so short a time. Who can forget the genocide of 1994? That’s what bad politics can do. Lest we forget, we came close to the abyss in 2008. Nations can implode so fast. Look at the former Yugoslavia where neighbors slaughtered each other almost overnight. Then good leadership can heal the wounds. Kagame chose reconciliation over revenge and Rwanda is celebrated internationally as a success story. It’s a story of visionary leadership. From genocide to unity |
I am open to be convinced otherwise. Show me the number of foreign tourist visit. And exclude Nigerian diaspora travelling back home with foreign passports. Foreign spending in your tourism sector is 7% D O M E S T I C S P E N D I N G is 93% 68816419: |
Egypt need to decide whether they are Arabs or Africa - I think they are in Arab League of Nations. The magreb nations are africans when it's convenient and Arabs every other time. Ghana should have this - vaxx2: |
Only in your dreams. What you claim to earn more is foreign receipts - but our tourism sector is big - we have huge domestic tourism - Tanzania are too poor to visit Serengeti or Zanzibar - and spend money in tourist lodges. Kenya when it had troubles with Alshabab and related election violence worked on it's domestic tourism that pretty much - now - helps hotel industry during off-peak season. Which is why Kenya earn more than twice - TZ in tourism sector. I think only South Africa and Nigeria (entirely domestic) are bigger. Kazikazi: |
Absolutely would be nice to have Accra host this. Ghana has been one of most pan-african and progressive nation - that is generally friendly to nearly all nations - except their big armpit of Africa (Nigeria). Ghana also would also integrate francophone Africa. Addis can keep the political seat - but trade seat can go to Ghana or even Rwanda or Kenya. Obviously Kenya - has the financial center (Nairobi) that can make trade easy but we already have the UNEP & UN-HABITAT - that should be good enough for us. Ghana or Kigali works for me - but Kagame can be divisive - so Ghana ought to win this. vaxx2: |
The same way we cannot refute all the birds that flie from North Pole to Tanzania - and migrate back. Your small mindset is a result of Ujamaa laziness and jealousy. Now you own the wilderbest but we are earning serious money from them. And unlike your poor Maasai who get nothing from Serengeti - we gave the Maasai Mara to Maasai - the real custodians of those animals-Kazikazi: |
Do you know where the animals are impregnated Tanzania with their little mindset - last year your actually tried to block the animals from crossing to kenya - by starting wildfires.Kazikazi: |
