I know you're praying day and night for terror in kenya because you know you cannot otherwise compete with our tourism or in any other spheres.

You see we got to 2M plus tourist this year. You're still struggling to get to 1M and overstating their earnings

What did you want the soldiers to do. To ran away like you ran from Amin in Kagera and had to get Uganda rebels on the frontline. Kenya soldiers are out in Somali fighting Alshabaab and they have suceeded. This is first major terror attack in Nairobi since 2013/2014. Alshabab territory has shrunk and they are on their way out.

But they can never hold ground like Boko Haram does in Nigeria. Not possible for Alshabab to defend a territory against Kenya.

They are not the same banks. It really depend on arrangment or ownership or banking systems or laws. A bank in EU of same branch can probably behave seamlessly. International banks in developed world trust each other more. When dealing with African banks - they probably need to escrow the money or make sures everything is kosher - and all that make it expensive.

The are two wars. Uganda invaded Tanzania and your army ran all the way to Darslums. Amin did not face any resistance from your cowardly army who abandoned posts and ran . Uganda then proceeded to rape and plunder Kagera province for 2 months. The world berated Uganda for months as Nyerere begged for mercy at AU. That war ended when Amin withdraw his forces. You were pleading and begging the world to save you.

Then after that war had ended...you then waged a new war with 3 times Uganda forces.

Apart from 1978 Kagera war that you lost. You also lost to Uganda in 1972.

In 1972, Obote had convinced Mwalimu Nyerere that he could fight back and get rid of Idi Amin. The government of Tanzania bought the idea, though the army was not involved because the Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) at the time did not like the idea.
Somehow, someone convinced Mwalimu that national service which was another force could help the exiles and refugees to make an invasion. That’s why during the 1972 attack, the biggest number was from Obote’s group. They were about 3,000 troops coming from Handeni camp and others from the camp in Tabora. During this invasion, Museveni had 32 people from Kaboya. When the invasion occurred, it was a disaster, they never reached Masaka or Mbarara, and the group to go to Entebbe perished in Lake Victoria.

I think they were 4; are they all dead now. Great.

Why would a small country like Uganda occupy your territory for 2 months. Not a small territory but a whopping 1,800 sq Kms. Why would you go pleading to AU to ask Amin to withdrew. Amin withdrew after Nigerian Obasanjo begged him. Only for you to cowardly attack Amin with Uganda rebels.

You can clearly see you're untrustworthy cowards which explain why Kenyans generally have very low opinion of you.

And you only "won" by assembling 3 times Uganda forces - you assembled Uganda rebels & all you police & prison & any one trained.

Finally understand you LOST KAGERA war and Amin withdrew.

Then you waged a war to dislodge Amin with Uganda rebels.

Those are two seperate wars. The first ended when Amin voluntary withdrawn after pressure from AU.

WestGate was a mess - police officer ended exchanging friendly fire - they had to come out and then army went in - MOSSAD went in - and it was total mess. This was was great.

Riverside is not Westland. It seperated by a river. It in Zone 4 - (Lower Spring Valley, Riverside Drive, Kileleshwa, Kilimani, Thompson and
Woodley/Ngong Road) - all those places are mainly residential with max of 4 floors - I think recently upto 8 floors were allowed.

Tha zone 4 - was previously -planned for Single dwelling or maisonettes or town houses on 0.05 ha. Flats were dissallowed.

In 2000s - They allowed flats - of 4 floors if you could connect to main sewer.

And I think last decade it was changed to 8 floors max. That is why DUSIT Nairobi was about 7 floors.

Nairobi is well planned with a lot of greenery as you can see. You cannot just build your slum anywhere. Or erect any structure. There are very many by-laws including how much land you need to reserve for trees.

Yes they are celebrating this terror attack but I think we've come out stronger. The response has been very good. The world has seen a country that has come of age. The rescue and emergencies operation has been well co-ordinated. Our police force were in the scene few minutes and so were ambulances.

On November 1, 1978, having occupied the Tanzanian territory of approximately 1,870 Sq. km for a whole month, Amin through the Defence Council, issued a public announcement on Radio Uganda about the annexation of the Tanzanian territory.

“We inform the nation and the world at large that new Uganda/Tanzania border is now up to River Kagera [inside Tanzania]. The captured territory will be made a full district of Uganda soon, although the army occupies it temporally,” Amin’s statement read.

“All Tanzanians in the captured area up to River Kagera must know that they are under the direct rule of the Conqueror of the British Empire, Field Marshal Amin. However, they will be treated as brothers and sisters of the people of Uganda.”

Amin came under international pressure, especially from African countries, to withdraw from the occupied Tanzanian territory . Then Nigerian president Lt Gen Olusegun Obasanjo convinced Amin to withdraw his troops from Tanzania.

When Uganda withdrew its troops, it gave the Tanzanian army chance to regroup near the Ugandan border. For two months, Tanzanian forces reorganised as they prepared for war and on November 27, 1978, they re-attacked Uganda and overrun the Mutukula Post in Rakai District. The Mutukula II battle was the beginning of the war that deposed Amin.

When you lost to Uganda - what did you call that. You had to launch a counter-attacked backed by Uganda rebels to regain territory. Your cowardly army ran from a whole provinces. Uganda army annexed a whole province and then proceeded to rape your women, ransacked any valuable and basically sat on your for nearly 1yr.

In fact you pleaded everywhere until Amin withdrew his forces from Kagera.

And then you attacked. You had no chance in hell against Amin until he listen to likes of Obasanjos or whoever was in AU & withdrew from Kagera province.

The whole Westland was looking empty with just few buildings, maybe because all the whole buildings are in the CBD
It looked like Ileja,Lagos but except for the greenery.

Precisely.Most countries in Africa lack a police force like we do that include paramilitary units.They resort to army for civilian duties and the army soon overextend $ overthrow civilian rule.In kenya except rare case the GSU $ AP compliment regular Police to deal with all internal situation.The army ought to be used in external wars.
