Ruto has done enough to rise from MP to Minister to Deputy President. If our president die like Yardua - he will become president like Goodluck. He is like your Obisanjo. You should focus on what Obisanjo promises to fixes Nigeria problems. Not listing 100 nonsensical things that he has done in office. If you need to list things you've done then you've done nothing. A good CV is one pager. If you've been a CEO of fortune 500 company - that is one line. Anybody intelligent enough should know what CEO of big company does. So change the conversation from what Obina did or Tinubu did as state governors or Obisanjo did as VP - and focus on what they are promising to do - ask yourselves if they have their understood Nigeria contemporary challenges, and what are their proposals to fix those issues. Obina, Tinubu, Obisanjo, Atiku - they are qualified - having been state governors or vice presidents before - so as much as you want to focus on their track record - it wont help solve the current problems. They need to be all over telling Nigerians how they can wipe the shame of lacking 24hours of electricity. It's totally completely insane not have 24hours of electricity - even Somali Mogadishu has 24 hours of electricity. GeneralDae: |
By the time youre in consideration for president; then you meet some basic criteria; that is you've done something previously enough to be a serious candidate. Dont tell us about building primary schools and desks 25yrs ago - tell us their proposal to fix nigeria current problems. What CHANGE are they proposing to fix electricity crisis? Any single idea. That is interesting debate. Next Boko Haram/Fulani Cows/Cattle rustling/ Islamic extermisms? Any ideas? Next poverty & unemployment? Any ideas. GeneralDae: |
Heckling 24-7s will not help. Uhuru grew our economy from 4 trillion to 12 trillion kshs in 10yrs. From 40B to 110B usd in 10yrs. Average growth rate is almost 6 percent. And that is semi-functional drunkard Nigeria you elected a dead man - that Trump described as lifeless. And he is primary school dropout to booth. Balogunodua: |
Fix electricity first before you talk ZOogerian. You're not allowed to talk - mini zoo Ghana can talk - before functional nations. Balogunodua: |
Thanks goodness you're not me. But yes cows in Kenya are very valuable - because we are building world class dairy industry. That gov was head of Kenya gov milk dairy - and has done well in dairy in his county. This Muranga county where he is the governor https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HzWMAYP8QP8 There are cows in kenya that will cost you even 3 million Naira. We have definitely built Africa best dairy industry - and if Nigeria copied kenya - you could eliminate lot of poverty and fulani mess. GeneralDae: |
Kenya politics - it's 2.5 months to the general election - the two leading candidates are well known - one has been prime minister - one is current deputy president. Opinion polls indicate it's neck to neck...although Ruto has an edge. I also believe based on my tribal modelling of kenya mostly ethnic based politics that Ruto is going to win in 1st round. The running mates (Deputy President) will be unveiled before the deadline on Monday...today or tomorrow. Then manifestos will follow. The focus of the candidates is the future...to sell their ideas on how they will make life better for kenyans. By time you want to be president your track record should be known - and focus should be on the manifesto or issues. Nigeria will end up electing another Buhari for what he did in 1985 - this time it's Tinubu- for what he did in 1990s - then they arrive too old too weak too senile too tired to do anything except breath and other basic metabolism.

Nigeria politics is messed up. The focus should be debating and discussing solutions to problem facing it. They should be talking day and night on fixing electricity crisis, bringing millions of kids to school, solving security challenges, the collapsed federal infrastructure and growing internal revenues. But it's about - what I did 20yrs ago to provide desks to 10 primary schools. |
One would imagine these are well known personalities; and focus should be on their manifesto; what they are promising to do; their ideas; and the future. Not everything he did in the office 25yrs ago. What are they proposing to fix electricity crisis for example? At least this focus of kenya politics - what will you do? For example Ruto (who I am supporting) is promising amongst other things - universal health coverage -No Kenyan will pay for medication once we assume office this year because they will all be under the National Hospital Insurance Fund (NHIF) cover. That is our priority at Kenya Kwanza. Raila who I dont support - is promising welfare cheque for every jobless or poor family of 6,000kshs (60 dollars) every month. >>Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga has defended his decision to give unemployed Kenyans Ksh6,000 monthly stipend noting that the state had enough money to set up the Ksh100 billion Social Welfare Fund. One joke - governor of muranga - is promising every kenya a cow ![]() >>“Some say that they will give out Ksh.6,000 to the needy but my government will provide every Kenyan citizen with a cow.One home, one cow, and I will make this come true. I want to start it before being elected as President,” he explained. GeneralDae: |
Nigeria politics..are you going to list every tiny thing each candidate did? |

Equity Bank continues to rise Profit in 1st Q up 100M dollars plus. Last year they made about 350M dollars in profit yearly. This year they could hit half a billion. 3-5yrs they will be generating a billion dollars in profit annually. Compares to Nigeria most profitable/biggest Zenith- made 160m in a quarter....Equity in 3-5yrs will have overtaken all Nigeria banks To be biggest bank outside South Africa in SSA. https://www.businessdailyafrica.com/bd/corporate/companies/interest-income-lifts-equity-q1-net-profit-by-33-7pc-3813274 https://www.premiumtimesng.com/promoted/526776-zenith-banks-growth-accelerates-with-22-rise-in-gross-earnings-in-q1-2022.html During the January-March period, Equity’s balance sheet expanded 19.04 percent year-on-year to Sh1.27 trillion, while customer deposits rose 14.05 percent to Sh900.92 billion. |

You're kidding yourself. Just remove hotels - that is more ridicolous than word itself. Not even Nairobi come close to Mombasa in that. Now do you port like Mombasa port with all related industries that stretches all the way near Mariakiani? Nope - that would be Lagos - right? So Mombasa has Lagos in it (port city - sitting on natural harbour) - and resort city on world class white sandy beaches (nothing like that in entire west africa) Nairobi is business+industrial city. Mombasa is port +resort city. Kuruptnigga: |
Dont make me laugh. People fly direct from Europe to go and spend their time in Mombasa. Your totally useless soot covered port city should concentrate in being an oil city. Not even Abuja come close. Mombasa to Diani - 40kms Mombasa to Vipingo - 40kms That is coastline - that gives 80kms of world class beachfront with hotels. Mombasa to Mariakani - 40kms- this towards the mainland - to Nairobi Mombasa port - is larger than anything you got in Nigeria. Mombasa has a large industrial base - 2nd only to Nairobi. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bA9SvQRj3EU Kuruptnigga: |
Unless beauty to you means something else - mombasa as resort city is incredibly beautiful with world class beaches, hotels, resorts and name it https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pOAsrfE9aus |
Mombasa is more beautiful than Nairobi. Cant be compared to that dirty soot covered Port Harcourt. Mombasa if define as metro - including diani, north coast (all way to vipingo), and mainland to mariakani is huge. Mombasa has more hotels bed than entire Nigeria - I am talking of proper hotels and cottages - you're talking almost 40kms of hotels on both direction from mombasa main city (Island) - that is almost 80kms of world class beach front with hotels. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GPYfWueCUXU Kuruptnigga: |
Nairobi Southlands - South C/B - and Nairobi National Park edge. Also visible is the Nairobi dying Industrial area - as industries are moving to the metro. You can see Nigeria first import to Kenya - the Winners Chapel South B huge church - I remember my brother joining it circa 1996 - so many Nigerian to this day come to Kenya as missionairies to spread their prosperity gospel.Joburg in 10yrs will be seeing dust from the former dustbowl of Nairobi. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UbRXt_jX-i0 |
If you're very idle watch this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tnVWCei5Gu4 Kuruptnigga: |
Maube you have your own Mombasa. Kuruptnigga: |
You cannot compare darkness (TZ) with light(kenya) Kazikazi: |
China is 95% hans - they are homegenous. Federation and democracy yes worsen tribalism but also unleashed 'free market' like competition for resources which makes it more efficient than your dormant one-man or now woman systems. Instead of one Magufuli - TZ has a chance to create 10 magufulis every election - leaders who can transform their country. Kenya we moved forward post Moi regime because of that. We had TZ like pronvincial system of une-elected gov appointed DCS and PCS. That never works. Accountable leaders are those elected by people - not picked by national gov based on whims. We have CDF - each MP is given money for development - so they can fix issues facing their people - schools, roads, water, transformer for electricity. Now we have counties - with governors and their small parliament - fixing issues at that level. National gov the same. There are many great mps and governors who have used little money to transform their areas - there are thieves - and useless ones - but rarely do they survive re-election. The firing rate is 70% of leaders go home every 5yrs. Now imagine you useless DC or PC will retire - perform or not - at 60yrs. Kazikazi: |
Change your constitution first. Tanzania is too big to be controlled from Dar. You need federation. More small Zanzibars will unleash the potential of the country. Magufuli possibly died of fatigue trying to macro-manage that huge country. TZ and DRC - need to be either split or federal system like Nigeria is needed - or even kenya devolved system. Kazikazi: |
Nairobi Marathon on expressway - the road to be open to public in a week...completed in record 1.5yrs - way ahead of schedule despite covid-19 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6cdGYdeL7J4 |
Even their hotels - name it - my friend normally sneak there and design them - and sneak back - they can never allow kenya proffesional to get work permit - but their useless proffesional cant hack it. It a very cold day in hell when you have lazy dull Tanzania competing with Kenya gallivant: |
Same bad reputation worldwide. You cannot blame Kenya Immigration for profiling west africans. Just40: |
But Kinshasa is their capital ![]() GeneralDae: |
Natural resource curse or paradox. Nigeria airlines suspend flights - they cannot afford to buy oil - that is found plentiful in their country Nigerian airlines are to suspend all flights from Monday over rising jet fuel prices, an umbrella organisation of operators said on Saturday. https://nation.africa/africa/news/nigerian-airlines-suspend-flights-over-soaring-fuel-prices-3808566?fbclid=IwAR0LzMjHDW9j4Zd6TzSqT_PfnkzFiiJrKEcy2L2KzqK_D0Yz2KGv8kKvyag |
I guess they have run out of military generals. They should re-cycle Obasanjo once again. He seems to have some clue of managing the mess that is Nigeria. gallivant: |
Not the same. EABL is kenyan company that is now majority foreign owned (Daigeo 50% - Kenyans and other investors 50%). It's HQ in Nairobi and all its operation run from Nairobi. GeneralDae: |
Stick to Nigeria politics and dont elect a primary dropout nex tyear obaaderemi: |
TZ & Uganda do British system- A-level (six years of secondary) - Kenya finish secondary with O-levels (only 4yrs of secondary). Kenya 8-4-4 (copied from Canada/US) requires one to go for pre-university of one year to study A-level maths and such. Those kids were therefore being taught A-level maths. If they had gone to kenya university - the first year is for such kind of things. Uganda or TZ should do 3 yrs of university - a Kenyan 4 yrs. Kenya dumped the British system in 1984 - with end of East Africa community - and adopted Canada system of education - the 8-4-4 - extra year in primary - then 4yrs in secondary and 4yrs in university. What 8-4-4 did was to remove the A-level bottleneck that had choked our education systems and continue to choke TZ and Uganda....because they are few A-level secondary schools.. Now we have dumped 8-4-4 and adopted CBC - what likes of Finland uses. Kazikazi: |
IPPS cost nothing in capitation. We stopped them before we had to pay too much excess capacity. You're going to pay a billion dollars annually for idle turbines for a long time. That is stupidity of highest order. It almost all your oil royalties gone like that. Just40: |
