If possible, get your account officer to send via email to one of the IRCC email addresses, and also send a copy. Let all pages have the bank stamp.

Who knows? Like legacyedition said maybe they tried to contact the bank about the account and didn't get a response.
Or maybe they contacted UBA Nigeria and they couldn't verify as it's from UBA Gambia (or is it the other way round).
It'd be nice to know the reason in GCMS note (after the matter has been sorted).

Please do not send that notarize statement otherwise, it is a 5yrs BAN without appeal.

GET A NEW STAMPED BANK STATEMENT OF THE SAME PERIOD, ALONG WITH A REFERENCE LETTER OR GET YOUR MBS.

But why were you sent a PFL if your statement is okay

If bank statement is for you, and it is authentic, go print out the MBS, u can tell the bank to take it from today to as far back as 1 year ago......Send the MBS certificate to the embassy. Visa don sure already if the statementis genuine

Hi, No they don't require LOA but there are ways to fulfill the blank box since the cic portal will ask for it regardless.

My school immigration expert said the form doesn't discriminate between adult and kids so it does not leave out that part. However, the parent LOA is not the same as what is needed here even though you need it to include as part of the application material for SOWP. I added my LOA as part of client information for my wife SOWP. She advised that I write a short letter of explanation to upload instead of LOA as #1.

For the kids LOA requirement, I combined three materials. I sent an email to the local school board asking for enrollment eligibility or admission offer for my kids based on my status. They replied that the kids need to obtain their immigration documents, arrive in Canada and we bring the original documents along before we can get the LOA/offer/eligibility letter. This email was my #2 material to merge with other stuff here.

I went to the CIC website to download the page where it was stated that if kids come with parents studying with a study visa the kids don't require an LOA to apply for study visa. I converted this to PDF, highlighted the clause, and made it my #3 material. See website link below to explore.

Also, because my province (Quebec) require kids to also receive an approval before applying for study visa called CAQ, I saved a pdf of similar page from the provincial website, and highlighted the part that stated kids don't need to submit an LOA to apply for study visa as #4 item.

Finally, I merged all these into a single PDF and uploaded instead of the LOA. I also made reference to this clause and what I have uploaded instead in my family SOP.

Please, note that in some provinces, it may be possible to get LOA or other documents that may fulfill this condition either from the government agency or directly from schools. In such a case you do not need to go through the stress that I listed above.

For those applying for SOWP and applying for study visa for kids? I guess the study visa for kids doesn't need admission from any school right? LOA will be the father or mother's admission letter...or am I wrong? What age is qualified for study permit?

I submitted my visa application September 13 2021 and i got a medical request on the 18 November. I did the medical on the 13 December at Qlife clinic. I received a mail from Qlife on the 25th that my medical has been sent to IRCC. But have been checking my status since then and it has not been updated to pass or anything. So after work this evening i decided to check my application if the medical has been updated to pass. But to my greatest surprise i saw correspondence and ppr message it has been sent around 1pm or so but i just saw the message. My question now is that is it possible for IRCC to send ppr and not update my medical to pass yet.

About the same thing actually, I think tuition is cheaper in the UK but accommodation is more expensive and the other way round for Canada, but total cost will end up being around the same thing. And of course, many factors will eventually determine the actual cost. Don't get it twisted, it is better to invest that money in Canada o. If you can add the document that shows a positive pregnancy test, and also reference the date, to show that you just discovered, it will be a nice one.

Hi,

Either option is okay. You can apply from Nigeria - OWP for wife and study visa for your child could be okay too depending on his/her DOB because by the time they land the child could be closer to 4. Put the pregnancy matter in a convincing LOE/SOP - it is a strong point for you. The fact that you stayed home for one semester is also a good point to argue you are not desperate (don't use those exact words).

When you land then you can send your SIN, Study permit and even local bank account statement if you want. Make sure you cover the POF part very strongly and remember that your POF from within Canada is more reliable and easily verifiable than from back home regardless of the millions of Naira.

A second (or even additional) option is to apply for visiting visas for your family through the new portal when you land without withdrawing the SOWP or apply.

It shall end in praises.

Nope. I'm not evn sure Canada issues 6 months visa. They give btwn 1 year and 10yrs. Mostly determined by the expiry date of your passport.

Some flights have two connections, some have one.

Monthly limit is $100, 185CAD is abt $US150 which is above the limit. Although I got a mail from GTBank stating an upward review of the limit, to a sum of 200usd but I still get transactions above 100usd declined, and I dnt knw the reason for that. Try using a barter card.

It's with great joy that I announce my brother's study permit which got approved and stamped passport came back today from Abuja!!!! It's a long post, but I'll make it as brief as possible.

Application Submitted: 14th December, 2020
Biometrics: 15th December, 2020.

We paid an agent for admission and after like a year, he sent us an offer letter from Humber College, we gave him $4,500 to pay as part of tuition, and after like 3 months, he did biometrics in December. No response, no log in details, nothing. I contacted the school around March 2021, and school told me it was a fake admission letter (apparently, agent gave us a fake admission letter, so we won't be able to track), so school gave me the original admission letter and also told me no money was paid, we tracked the agent and we got payment back. After many stress, we finally got log in details on May 2nd and I saw the application was denied on April 19th, and also, a procedural fairness letter on 29th April (suspected fraudulent Bank statement). We sent MBS for 1yr bank statement till dat date. I was curious as to why pfl came after a denial, cuz I felt the application was being reconsidered......I asked on the part 17 or 18 of this thread but many pple told me to just send the MBS that application is denied and nothing else, so I should plan to re-apply for him. Acct balance after MBS was like twice d balance in 2020. After sending MBS, I saw like 2 to 3 ghost updates and it stopped. In June, I applied for his gcms note and it came on 14th July;

GCMS note: Applicant going for PGD Human Resources without prior experience in HR. Sponsor is father, but no evidence of relationship. Acct shows that there is sufficient funds to pay school fees but I am not convinced bcuz father claims to be a business man but no proof of business on record. GCMS note also showed application status as "Re-opened"


So the stupid agent ddnt attach all the company CAC we gave him, he also claimed that my single yoruba brother is married to one Chika Gift Sunday lol, I told him my bro is HRM in my father's company and I gave him CV, he attached CV but filled that my bro is d admin officer.

That same night, I wrote a 3 pages SOP, I still took d stand as Admin officer but I now highlighted his duties to cut across HR personnel, talked about how d course will help him take over my father's company on return and many others. I also wrote a sponsorship letter on my dad company's letter head, attached all CAC docs and landed property docs. I tink I got just one or two ghost updates after.

SEPT 2nd, 2021, we paid his $18k full program school fees and deferred his admission to d next semester(Jan 2022). Sent many webforms with tuition receipt nd new admission letter but no response.

Sept 15th Correspondence Letter
Sept 16th PPR
Passport sent to Abuja on 17th
LOI Sept 25th
Passport got back to Lagos today with Canada Visa.
His BSc, Sociology, 2nd Class Upper, 2017, 29yrs in May, 2021

My son application was submitted on the 25th of April with the MBS only. He wrote IELTS in May and submitted through webform. Upfront medical passed in May too. Then the long silence. I sent a mail to nairobi and copied the minister yesterday after seeing Doctoracs post

We got gcms notes in July ending with nothing. Eligibility didn't start till approval.
He is 17 years, we got a custodian for him in Ontario since that's where the school is, and his elder sister doing her masters too.
