afam4eva: Most private universities are not in the south-west but there are more private universities in the south-west than anywhere else and the reasons are not far fetched. Ogun state has the highest number of private universities in Ogun. It could have been lagos but due to the unavailability of land and space most people will rather take it out of Lagos but still close to Lagos and that's where Ogun state comes in. The universities are not in Ogun state because the state offers what other states cannot offer. It's just a matter of proximity.
