Sarhyd: Nigeria’s President, Muhammadu Buhari, has been asked to as a matter of urgency, rename the aso rock presidential villa after late Moshood Kashimawo Abiola
This was the resolve of the Students Union Government (SUG) of the Lagos State University (LASU) during a walk in memory of the adjudged winner of the June 12, 1993 presidential election in Ojota area of Lagos on Thursday, June 11. President of the union, Wasiu Adeyemi, who led the group of students from Maryland to the freedom park in Ojota, noted that the late MKO Abiola remains a hero of Nigeria’s democracy, who has become a reference point for politicians of this generation.
In a chat with Naij.com early Friday, the students’ union leader, popularly called ‘Awo’, noted that: “we are saying that the late MKO Abiola is a hero of Nigerian democracy, who deserves more than we are doing to appreciate him. The federal government must recognise June 12 as a public holiday and ensure that it is celebrated as Nigeria’s democracy day instead of the May 29 that is nationally acknowledged for that occasion.”
Speaking on the renaming of the aso rock villa after the late politician, Adeyemi reiterated the stand of the LASU students, noting that: “the new administration has to rename the aso rock villa after MKO Abiola because he truly deserves it as a national icon.”
I can bet this gig would be like anywhere between $0.5m to $2m annually in pay to come and sit once a month in a board meeting and make the ad hoc phone calls to people that can stop any undue obstructions to the projects of this Fund.
All too often we hear self-professed "Nice Guys" complaining about why they can't get a date, and whining that women just want to date jerks, etc. etc. The truth of the matter is that there are genuinely caring, compassionate, decent, fun guys out there who have NO TROUBLE meeting people, getting dates, and having relationships.
"Unfortunately, many of the guys who DO have trouble, insist that women don't want them because they are "too Nice". These people who call themselves "Nice Guys" can't see that THEIR OWN behavior is the problem. That behavior either drives women away or attracts the WORST kind of predator - one who is manipulative and self-serving. Whether it is targeting women who are troubled to begin with, setting themselves up to be taken advantage of, or acting in a manipulative, patronizing or obsequious fashion, these guys sabotage themselves and often blame "all women" for their misfortunes."
When you start becoming able to attract fine girls, you can come back and talk.
Learn, then you can argue from experience and knowledge.
You can see and hear them. Majority of them end up going for good guys to marry and get security for the rest of their lives, but that is after they have given the honey to bad boys.
nelandrewz: The guy allegedly drugged the girl to have access to free sex which resulted to her death and he equally took the pills and lay beside her.
Good!
Otherwise they should have used a shot gun to blow off his head if he had stayed alive.
But the police officer, unable to read the contents of the ID card, suggested that the late professor, his brother and a driver, were part of the insurgents.
These are the types of cretinous and daft illiterates we give guns to and then label them "Police".
elijah24: I've been dating her for six years. 3 years ago i found out she was seeing someone else, but when i asked her she said she was going to stop seeing the guy immediately but till date she still goes to see the guy, sometimes even in the guy's school.
I am in my final year while she is in her 3rd year. The other guy is in his OND1.
i feel betrayed and wanna end the relationship but all her friends are begging me to give her time to put an end to the affair with the guy. She also begged me to pardon her that she will end it. My problem is i can't share my girl with someone else especially in this era of STDs and even HIV. I love her and anytime i ask her to stay away from me i fall sick after a day or two. Please guys and babes, i need sincere and genuine advice. I don't wanna act and regret later.
I am confused that's why i brought it to the house for good advice. Please pals help a bro that is helpless now
Baba nla Mugu.
My only advice to you is to give me her number so I can help you tap my own share.
You are a "real man", you will always be there for her to go back to.
handsomeclouds: DETERMINED to get back government property looted from the Government House in Port Harcourt, security operatives on Monday evening recovered 10 vehicles allegedly stolen by officials of the immediate past administration in the state.
The vehicles were recovered from two locations identified as Rumuokparali and Trans-Amadi in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of the state.
A statement from Government House identified the recovered vehicles as one Coaster bus, two Nissan Urvan buses, two Higer vehicles, one Land Cruiser, one Toyota Hilux Pick-up, one Peugeot 607 Saloon car and two Peugeot 406 cars.
It was learnt that security operatives who conducted the operation were accompanied to the locations by some Government House employees.
The Rivers State Governor, Chief Nyesom Wike, had, on assumption of duty, alleged massive looting of government property and facilities by the immediate past administration.
Wike had also taken leading Rivers State stakeholders on a tour of the Government House to see the points where facilities in Government House were either looted or vandalised.
The governor had, however, vowed that all stolen government property would be recovered while those found to have engaged in the criminal act would be made to face the wrath of the law.
A statement from Government House revealed that security operatives had begun the interrogation of those found at the locations where the stolen vehicles were recovered.
Government House in Port Harcourt says the property recovery process will be a continuous process.
Speaking on the development, the state Police Public Relations Officer, Mr. Ahmad Mohammad, told Southern City News on Tuesday that the command was able to recover the vehicles based on information that the stolen items were seen in unauthorised places.
“Acting on information that some suspected vehicles belonging to the Rivers State Government were seen parked in unauthorised yards, the command recovered three Coaster buses, two 306 Peugeot, two Hummer buses and one 306 Peugeot,” Mohammad said.
He, however, pointed out that investigation was still ongoing with a view to recovering more of the stolen vehicles and property removed without authorisation from the Government House
In Gambia, the Chief Justice (who is Nigerian), Joseph Wowo, who was recorded trying to obtain a bribe of £100K from a foreigner in exchange for ruling in his favour in a land dispute case was sentence to 2 years in jail.
While an opposition politician, Amadou Scattred Janneh, who was distributing T-shirts which featured the slogan "End to Dictatorship Now" denounncing their useless leader was sentenced to life imprison for "treason".
A crook got 2 years, someone fighting for democracy got life.
The only reason the first was proscuted was because the incidence was recorded and released on the net. Otherwise, no prosecution would even have taken place because he is well-connected to all the crooks in politics up to the moronic President and does their bidding. A President that would shield him like Jonathan shielded criminals.
These are the kinds of Presidents many of you black monkeys defending Mugabe deserve. We need to respect people like that? No wonder your continent and your lives are pure shyt!
There is nothing like seeing, or being with, a woman who frequently has a nice, warm, cute (or sexy) and welcoming smile.
A smile just enhances all the beauty features.
But majority of black girls love to carry misery, hatred and anger on their face as they go about and still expect to look presentable and attractive. ..................Fck That!
dealslip: eeyah Sagamite, why didn't you tell me he is your grandfather, I won't have said the truth about him. Next time I will lie to please your ego. I hope you like it that way.
Get you fcking notebook out and start getting some real education instead of chatting twaddle.

oludashmi: At the annual symposium during a Feast of Barracuda organised by the National Association of Seadogs, the Inspector General of Police, Mr. Solomon Arase, has declared the Nigerian Police as the least corrupt officers compared to all other institutions in Nigeria.
Arase who was represented by the Commissioner of Police, Federal Capital Territory, Mr. Wilson Inalegwu said that the practical step to deal with corruption was to dismantle road blocks by Police and the establishment of Monitoring Teams to ensure compliance across the country.
The IGP also said bail is free and urged Nigerians to call their helplines whenever they are asked to make payment for bail and promised that such officers would be dealt with.
He said: “The IG said he is allergic to corruption and since then he has taken practical steps to deal with the issue of corruption, both the history of corruption and perception of corruption of the Nigeria Police Force.
“One of the first things he did was to set up the IGP’s Monitoring Teams. First of all the decision by the Police Management Team was to take out roadblocks across all our highways. It was not just to dismantle it, he set up the IGP Monitoring Team to ensure that these directives are enforced.”
“If you go across most of our highways now roadblocks have been reduced to the barest minimum, and anybody mounting roadblocks, does that at his risk.
“Presentations are also made where Commissioners of Police are invited to look at the situations across the country right from the condition of suspects in Police cells and they have a technical platform that enable them to monitor the behaviour and conduct of police officers on the road as they handle suspects.
“The IG said bail is free! Help lines have been provided where you can supply information. You can call to inform that you went to this station and paid this amount and I can assure you, action will be taken. Bail is free, the monitoring teams are going round to practically deal with those avenues that can lead to corruption.
This officially tells us that we have a moronic fuuktard as Inspector General of Police.
Solomom Arase is a moronic fuuktard!
How the hell this fooooool can call the robbers and murderers in uniform, that we moronically call the Police, the least corrupt is beyond me.
What research and analysis did the cretin conduct to come to that conclusion?
The moronic fuuktard keeps on referring to calling the Police helplines. Anyone with a brain would have provided the helpline numbers to the public.
What proportion of Nigerians know what the fck the helpline numbers are to be able to make the call. This on its own shows that this cretin is either incompetent or stuuupid, or worse still, both.
I keep on telling you all that Obasanjo is the most powerful black African today.
Many Nigerian former heads of state just slip into international irrelevance. At best, they become geopolitical zone champions. The last one would slip into Otuoke resident foooool. Obasanjo rules home and abroad and can call on any world figure in a second.
dealslip, I hope you are still jotting down in you notebook?
greggles: I believe you said this from an elite point of view, or maybe IT to you is about designing a blog and making money posting information online to attract traffic. IT is more than that. There are IT consultants whose interest are in the core deveopment aspect of the job, they are the ones who develop some of the products we use in managing content on the internet, and there are IT entrepreneurs, these people don't neccessarily need core knowledge of the field, all they're interested in is making money by either getting professionals to develop a commercial product or something like that. And it is wrong to say that there is low startup cost for IT, it gives the impression that being an IT professional is about buying a laptop and bandwidth and browsing the internet, or perhaps using wordpress to design a website. This is so wrong.
I beg to disagree.
Explain to me what kind of products you are aiming to bring to the market you require government funding for.
greggles: Before I go ahead let me introduce myself. I am a certified database administrator and a professional website developer. I am a startup business owner with a small clientele but I am looking forward to expand to become bigger in the nearest future, but......
Is it only me feeling this or do other IT Professionals feel the same way? Are we neglecting IT in this country? We are supposed to be the technology drive force of this country but it seems most of us are struggling getting our feet stable on the ground. When I talk about IT Professionals, I mean the core ones who have either certified or undergone a certain degree of training in fields like Database Administration, website and mobile apps development, Programming and software development, systems audit, network administration, hardware maintenance and engineering etc.
I need answers, what is the future of IT in Nigeria? We see entertainment and agriculture growing in the country but I feel IT is completely neglected
It is my understanding that many IT professionals go into the field to be self employed or consultants, so they are entrepreneurs by this measure, but why can't we access loans and startup credit facility to establish our own companies and build on what we already have invested lots of money in? It costs a lot of money to get trained in IT so I think we deserve some credit and empowerment from government
I need answers and suggestions please. Thank You.
Nonsense!
The highlighted is a core reason a creditor should never give anyone with that kind of mentality any credit.
If you are an IT professional that works as a contractor, then it is highly likely you are well paid and should be able to save up to start your own enterprise debt-free.
If not, that means you have not put your investment in an IT area that experiences a shortage of skills or has any value to the business community. The fact anyone can make such a judgement, shows lack of entrepreneurship and, hence, someone you would not want to give credit.
The worst argument for the case of IT professionals asking for some start up capital is that the start up cost for the business and cost of business development is relatively low.
Much of the tools needed to develop a product is at low cost because of the amount of free resources available on the net and in opensource communities. So start up cost should be relatively low.
If you develop a product that is of value to a business or customer, they tend to take it up very easily without much selling because it gives them a commercial advantage or makes their lives easier. So cost of business development is relatively low as you can start earning revenue easily, even if it is at the lower spectrum of the business community.
If you can't do these, why would anyone be giving you credit?
Lol, no, I busted in the wrong hole in ya mum's body, 9 months before you were born. That's my only regret cos you grew up to become an illiterate and odious lunatic with the IQ of a panda. You still can't punctuate properly and your lexicon is still limited to those two stale words. You're definitely not like ya dad. I guess ya mum's genes are more dominant in ya DNA.
Shymm3x: Lol, you can barely spell and you can't even punctuate properly, yet you want to get brolic with the one who sired you, despicable little rascal. And every time I whoop ya arse, you go on hiatus for three months and still come back for more. I blame ya mum for refusing to open her mouth when I was about to bust these nuts, hence I busted it in the wrong hole.
Go sit in the corner - grandad needs to go get a switch, so I can whoop ya arse again, on this early Sunday morning.
chilez: Good Evening Sagamite, I'm new on this forum, and so far my research I admire your input on naira land. I need an advice on what course is more industry relevant for my masters. I'm not all about making big bucks, for now I need to work on good skills and do an msc that will give me leverage in the Nigerian job market. I have a BSc in Computer Engineering and I need an advice BTW Msc Control engineering or MSc Engineering Management or Msc Network systems. I wud be grateful for it help. Thank you Sir.
Hi,
All are relevant to industry. There is nothing like "which is more relevant?", you just have to make a selection based on your interests and capability in the three.
icedbeatz: as for me, I do things the way I want to. I treat a girl how she deserves to be treated, if you act like a bitcch the I will treat you like a goddamned bitcch x2 but if you act like a queen then you be treated like a goddess. I ain't give a fuk how people see it.
Lol, so in ya obtuse mind, you've "intellect", no? - Ha! So it took you three days to muster his weak come back, yes? All you've got is a debate where I smacked everyone on a topic about Nigeria I wasn't even conversant with back then, and had to debate muthaphuckas about people I don't know within a two-hour window - yet I smashed them to bits. And they had to cry wolf about plagiarism. Stark illiterate, how come you pulled out of the debate?
What won't I hear on these sides. You mean there's intellect in ya thick head that can't process more than two words, "cretin and fvcktard", no? Do you even know who Pusha T is? While smashing ya arse to bits the last time - I clearly stated that it was Pusha T's first 2 bars on "Chevy Ridin' High remix", and you stole it after I annihilated ya bum arse. Same way you stole my "utter tosh" and a lot of my phrases, you obnoxious and gormless village wankstain.
Ya grandad is somewhat busy today, son. Unless you want me to come to ya shared one-room apartment in Camberwell and smack ya midget arse like you stole something. Don't disturb.
Shymm3x: Bald-headed and jobless smelly midget, sagamite, this is the thread where you got ya last arse-whooping and ya arse handed to you for the 9th time in 9 tries by yours truly - and where I said it was originally Pusha T's bars: https://www.nairaland.com/1965899/how-west-corrodes-morality/16 Don't ever in ya wretched life use the God-complex on ya grandad...I sired you - two generations apart, you bum. What's the scores again? 9 - 0? Ya grandad will always son ya bummy arse.
You are a moronic, cretinous fuuktard!
Why do you always have to plagiarise?
Cretin saying he destroyed people by copying other people's argument verbatim without declaring it.
Where did you declare the rhymes was Pusha Ts?
You moronic arsse did not even know that if you quote people, you need to indicate it everytime?
