Same difference, loads of Nigerians also think white folks stink, especially like watery milk. For me I find they smell sort of raw, like that sickening smell washed plates sometimes has when washed in chemicalised British water, yuk!

Would never marry one, if I have a child, I would disown them if they marry Oyibo

Music/RadioRe: For Lovers Of Rock Music Only! by sage(m): 6:13am On Apr 21, 2010
Having said that I hope the likes of Kelly Clarkson do organize a concert in Naija. Maybe a multi faceted tour with different international artists in collabo with some local groups. Ive not been in Nigeria for a while so I dont now know who are the most popular International Rockstars in Naija are. Back in the 90's it used to be Bryan Adams, Micheal Bolton, U2 etc

Does anybody here still enjoy Rock from the 70's like Andy Kim "Rock Me Gently", The Stampeders "Sweet City Woman" wink

Timeless music. Those classics never get old cheesy
Music/RadioRe: For Lovers Of Rock Music Only! by sage(m): 5:50am On Apr 21, 2010
@ tpia

I think you are very wrong on this one

I never heard the term "white music" or "black music" throughout my life in Nigeria even through University. The first time I heard those terms was in the U.S

Growing up in Naija all we did was classify music by their genres

Rock, Blues, Rap, Soul,Country, Jazz, Reggee, Classical, Instrumentals etc

I had friends who would have paid to see ABBA, Don Williams, Kenny G, BackStreet Boys, Bryan Adams etc if any of the above were their favourite musicians and had come to concert in Naija

The whole "black" music, "white" music thing is an American argument. It has very little relevance in Naija

people dont consider colour before they like music in Naija

PoliticsRe: Ask A Somali Anything, Naija Folks by sage(m): 3:23am On Apr 12, 2010
This topic makes me laugh

100% "Negro"? "black race"? etc etc What century is this? 18th century?

What people have to understand is that phonotype has little co-relation to genetics.

Biologically and by genetics there is no such thing like a "black race"

White North Africans share more genetic closeness to certain West and East African groups than those West and East African groups share with Southern Africans. If you get a West African, North African and a Southern African and compare them to each other GENETICALLY you would realize that looks tell you NOTHING about genetic make up. Same with East Africans

Just because North and East Africans look different does not mean they are "mixed" people

Both white North Africans and East Africans posses the the indigenous African Haplotype not that of Europeans or Arabs

And the guy from the second video is worse than a fool. He has of no use to South Africa and should be deported into the sea. I mean what the heck was that huh huh
Foreign AffairsRe: Julius Malema Called A Bbc Reporter A "Bastar..." by sage(m): 5:58am On Apr 11, 2010
Any body who supports this Malema guy is a fool. Failure to call a fool what he is makes one an accessory to a fool and hence one also

There is no justification for what the guy did there period. No if's and's or but's

@Caps28

This guy u never tire to dey blame boggy man for the fact that we cannot clean our streets and prefer to live on top of garbage huh West this, West that bla bla bla. The same dance day in day out, please are you not tired?

The reason trash fills all Naija town is because of the west. The reason we are dying on death traps called roads is because of the West. The reason why we dont have electricity or running water is the West. The reason why teachers dont get paid is the West. The reason police collect bribes and kill people due to accidental discharge is the fault of the West. The reason why we are backwards is because of the West

The West na God and they don decree say na suffer una go dey suffer and una no get choice. Everything is their making. We have no ability to clean our streets or arrainge our affairs. Everything is the fault of the West.

Meanwhile guys we are even going off topic. This topic was discussing Nigeria and the possibility of civil war.

PoliticsRe: Hausa Kingdoms Were Stable And Peaceful - Richard Hooker by sage(m): 4:48am On Mar 11, 2010
naijaking1:
Hausa History:
You probably can't find a good book in Nigeria, because of political reasons. The truth- --the Hausas were doing fine before the arrival of the murderous fulani -Uthman dan Fodio.
Fodio first overthrew the sarkin Gobir, who had helped him settle down in the area: his reason? The Gobir king was not practicing a "pure" form of islam. Don't think boko haram started today!
After the Gobir kingdom fell, Fodio found how easy it was to overthrow the Hausa kingdoms, then he began a systematic elimination of Hausa kings with subsequent replacement with his own family members.
Even the silly and greedy Afonja fell victim to Fulani machinations after he betrayed the Oyo king in Illorin. If you follow the clock till the arrival of the British, to the time the Fulanis were trying to take Nupe, to the era of Sarduana, to the massacre of easterners in 1960s, to Jos incident two days ago, you'll understand that nothing has changed.
Nothing angry
A lot of linked history even though not in-depth in your post

Kudos
