Please return it. If it's thru Jumia global, then it's likely to be a modified sine wave. It'll have been better if you ordered directly on AE instead of going thru Jumia global. You'd have filed a trade dispute for your money to be fully returned and AE still allows you to keep the item as proper punishment for the seller for selling you a fake product.

As per the way you can confirm if it's pure sine or not, the more accurate method is using a sinusoidal wave meter which is pricey and of course not easy to come across from local sellers. The crude method is the humming sound when appliances like fan, sound system and TVs are plugged in.

I don't know if someone else has any more ideas.
Thanks for Ur usual helpful input, as per Jumia; I can always return and get my money back, and they're not that bad just some seller being very mischievous, I have a 1500w 12v pure sine wave inverter, gotten from Jumia global that's working very well. I just wanted something bigger to accommodate my freezer that's why I went for something a bit bigger. Too bad the seller had to show his mischief.

I'll contact Jumia and seek clarification but I've gone back to the 1500w model, I no get money to change TV for now.

Once again thanks for your input.

Thanks for the recommendation, I'll try to get a pure sine wave instead. Wish I knew this before buying it though, I'll probably end up with an inverter I'm not using.

As omotoda pointed out, I believe the problem is with inverter, probably best to switch to pure sine wave.
It's unfortunate cos I actually wanted a pure sine wave inverter and it has a sticker of pure sine wave boldly imprinted on it.

I have a 1500w capacity of a similar Chinese inverter brand that works well. This is just unfortunate. But if I can't get a means of confirming the true sine wave of the inverter, I'll just return it and count my losses.

Can you recommend standing fans to use?

My current fan (OX AC 230V 50HZ 70W) makes a very loud annoying noise whenever I'm on inverter (Mercury 1.2 modified sine wave with Luminous battery)
I seem to be in the same shoes, got a 12v 4000w pure sine wave off grid inverter from Jumia global, but on testing it the noise coming from my TV speakers was something else. But once I change it back to grid power or my prag inverter the noise disappears.

I'm contemplating returning it back to Jumia and getting a refund, but I need to be very sure before doing that as all my fans are DC fan and I don't have any coil based equipment to further test and confirm.

Can anyone advise on a means of confirmation to know for sure it's pure or modified sine wave.

Attached is a picture of the said inverter.

From the title of this thread you should know this place is not for Noobs.

And secondly it is not a sales thread so you are violation of rules 6 and 18.

Thank you
As much as I agree with you on a lot of things, Ur comment that this place is not for noobs doesn't go down well with me, so do you mean noobs can't learn on this platform or can't ask questions in relations to difficulties they could face.

I might be replying out of context but I would love to understand Ur terms of reference in relations to the above.

Oga u have not given me any positive answer concerning my battery, u wanted me to keep it off this thread and I did, just for u to tell me on WhatsApp to add money and carry another battery , probably a returned one from a Nairalander which I told u I don't have any money and u ignored all my msgs afterward, u could not even consider the fact that u have made lots of money by posting ur ads on my thread, don't worry.....continue.
The very first day u sold this battery to me, I told u the problem it had, but u were arrogant and told me to go and get an analog charger, which I did and the same thing continued, if ur conscience would judge u, u knew that battery had charging fault, u knew cos there was no way u bought those batteries without testing them. See ...I go buy another battery probably a lithium battery from China when I save up money but carry ur market go another place, start ur own thread pls
It's unfortunate that we're still seeing cases like this. Kiekie1 we have heard so many complaint about Ur products and it's unfortunate u feel that money is better than a good name.

People complain and instead of making amends this sh*t keeps get worse. I know ceejay80s personal and he is someone that will never complain no matter what.

I would suggest that u sort these out and redeem your image. But like is all about choices, do what works for u.

Kind regards and cheers

Increased idle consumption is a problem with hybrid inverters because the extra charging circuitry bites its own share of the required idle current. It's likely you may still be bugged down by the 100A idle.

Yes, installed BMS spec can be customised with your current of choice. Ameh99 that owns the thread assembles packs. You can talk to him on your choice of BMS.
Thanks Ceaser I do appreciate the detailed breakdown. I'll buzz ameh99 on the BMS issue.

I don't know how that cam be done on prag. But if you need to use LFP, yoy may have to purchase a standalone lithium charger to plug on the battery while you disconnect the prag from the mains.
Well understood, without the mains connected is the self idle consumption reduced or still at the almost 100w I suffer now.

Secondly, can a BMS with my specific charge and discharge current be installed on the lithium battery pack. Am asking generally and not on the specific pack being discussed.

It's LifePO4. 12v nominal will require 14.4v charger of 10Amp.
Okay cool. Too bad my prag inverter does about 14.7v, does anyone know how to tweak prag to get a lower voltage btw 14.2 and 14.4v?

Probably because Nigeria is one of the official destinations in which it'll be released too. Remember AliExpress is in partnership with Xiaomi for the release of the 9s, so they're targeting markets where they don't have physical stores.

Am sure if not for the pandemic wahala it would have been on the shelves here.
This makes a whole lot of sense. I've been wondering why the Xiaomi store refused shipping to Nigeria

32650, lifepo4 in stock, this batters are super efficient for solar and any other application you chose.

For diy battery enthusiasts just give this a try.

Cell parameters;

6ah, 3.2v nominal, 3.65v max, 2.0v cutoff point. 3C discharging current and 2C charging current, over 2000cycle charge
Price is 1350 per cell
Apart from selling cells do you also build battery packs? If yes, what are Ur options and pricing especially using these specific 32650 batteries.

Am looking for 12v 100ah and 200ah, then pricing for 24v 100ah and 200ah options.

Thanks as I await your response
