Not at all, my data is always on, I have my mails and all apps on full blast and it drops maybe 3-5% overnight.

True android system takes more battery life now, I believe it's a MIUI 11.0.4 thing, but I believe it's compensated somewhere else, cos I still get 8-9hrs SOT. I only charge once a day

Try to check on your phone if the LTE band for the phone is the same as the LTE band for your sim. I think Airtel uses LTE band 3 (1800).

MTN 4G LTE Bands: supports band 7 (2600MHz) & 20 (800MHz)
Glo 4G LTE Band: supports band 28 (700MHz)
9Mobile 4G LTE Band: supports band 3 (1800MHz)
Airtel 4G LTE Band: supports band 3 (1800MHz)
NTel 4G LTE Bands: supports band 3 (1800MHz) and 8 (900MHz)
SMILE 4G LTE Band: supports band 20 (800MHz)
SPECTRANET 4G Band: supports band 40 (2300MHz)
SWIFT 4G Band: supports band 40 (2300MHz)

Also add an extra Band 3 for Glo in selected areas. Good job

thank you. I agree with this, not everyone has the same phone needs or financial power so it makes sense that there are phones of varying quality.

What isn't quite nice though, is manufacturers churning out overpriced phones.

I agree with u and I think we should replace nomenclatures, use overpriced instead of crap..... Sounds better to me

People don't know how to compare phones. Phones are classified according to tiers.

Generally speaking, there are three main tiers.

1. Flagship (and Flagship killers)

2. Midrange

3. Budget or Entry

The experience on all these tiers are different.

If you use RN7 and then Mi 9T, then you'll know there's phone and there are phones.

It's dishonesty to compare one tier to another. Compare from within the same tier.

Where was xaomi when tecno and infinix brought smart experience to the average man in early 2000's and so?

Transion is present in north Africa countries like Egypt, and most part of African countries.
They had adverts and sponsorship deals with mancity.
They pay tax to the government and provide jobs.
People who choose them are human also and also have their rights .. but you and other xaomi cohorts wont let them be because you happen to lay your hand on some jaomi or some shits..

And when we the samsung(smartphone king) lords calls you out and feeds yall on same shits, then you guys comes crumbling and misyearning.

The height of it all is when yall hypocrites now compares a lowly budget thing to s20 ultra..

U guys should use some decorum on the words u throw out. God help us all.

For the records, no phone is crap in as much as it applies to the person buying it. I know we all have expectations per pricing of devices based on understanding but each to his own. If ur device suits you, works for you and fits into ur budget then pls go for it. It's that simple.

But my take and i think i speak for a lot of people, let's have some decorum in our utterances, we have kids reading some of the pages here. NO PHONE IS CRAP. Can we pls move on?

Buy from Jumia and get it in 48hrs tops or buy from sellers here on nairaland, it's even cheaper than getting from AliExpress
