The salary scale is not so encouraging, no wonder most lecturers are not passionate about their job. Handout sales will never end.
They even earn lesser than what the OP stated there. A fresh GA earns around 85k to 90k

Did you care to understand me at all? Are you saying there is no body in the isolation centres? Eighty percent of those tested positive are outside the isolation centres, that is what I read, I repeat.
You seem to be unduly heated about doubting the government. Sorry that is not my concern. My concern is that whether or not the government is telling the truth or lies, the reality on ground is that the pandemic is real, and it is here with us. Only a fool will believe otherwise. Brazil alone recorded over 55,000 new cases in the last 24hours!
I don't care whether the government is scamming or not, the pandemic is real and it is here. TAKE PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY because not much is yet known about the contagion.
Please try to read and comprehend before making comments. Whatever you think does not in anyway affect my position on this matter, because I am standing on a different and far elevated pivot in observing the global development. Take care
There you go again, thinking you know about global development more than everyone.

I guess you have access to data, phone and PC and others don't. For you information, i started folowing news on coronavirus from the time some set of doctors raised the alarm in Wuhan.

And no wherr in ma comment did i say that coronavirus is not real, if people like you will not ask the government question and hold them accountable for the rusbbish happening in this country then i weep for our generation.

mdan:
It's widely known that love alone, is not enough to keep a family standing. There are other factors contributing to a healthy marriage of which respect, loyalty, money etc are involved.

Now, in a situation where a wife earns more than the husband, will there be respect?

And if there is, how long can a woman keep up before she starts acting weird?

For the ladies do you think it's an issue earning higher than your husband?
If you cannot respect your husband 100% then please do not marry.

BREAKING: ASUU Tells FG Not To Reopen Schools Till End Of Pandemic.

By Wondrous Nnaemeka on June 18, 2020
The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has advised the federal government to keep schools shut pending when the covid-19 pandemic was over.

ASUU tweeted about this on Thursday.

ASUU President, Abiodun Ogunyemi, advised “federal government not to reopen schools until the pandemic is over.

The Covid-19 Presidential Task Force had equally maintained that it was not safe to reopen schools.

The PTF had also urged schools to ensure safety measures against covid-19 were put in place before schools reopen.

ASUU and FG are still at loggerheads over alleged failure of government to meet the terms of earlier agreements.

This led the union to call an indefinite industrial strike action.

I understand there are likely two groups if people proposing immediate reopening of schools: lecturers due to income cut and students finding home boring and freedom clipped.

Even if your classes are only 75 people you're in a single geographical space with over 75,000 people. A situation where one person can actually infect a hundred people in seconds.

And young people are vulnerable too.... even though not as susceptible as older people. They suffer and may have eternal damage to lungs or kidney.

They are exposed at home, sure but minimally and run the risk of infecting many people.

There's a very cheap drug in the UK that is already mass produced and shown to have good potency. A couple more months and we'll be in the better shape.
You want to bring those jabs you guys do to primary school teachers on lecturers?

Who told you lecturers are eager for schools to resume? They still earn their salary with the closure of schoold leaving them to run other thing.

*Audio Guildlines* ... My dept alone is upto 400 students, then my group is apprx 150studnts. We have 3 lectures per day 2hrs each. So 150/3= 50studnts each per class. Which s still too much for social distancing. How they can do these without detriment to the standard of learning still baffles me.
Oga we are in a new normal, life will never be like before, atleast not now.

Actually they can.. classes can be divided... the overcrowded classes you talk about are only found in Freshers classes and some 200l classes.. we actually overrate this crowd of a thing... When we know it's only general classes that are crowded.
You dey mind them, they know better than Ministry of education that brought out the conditions...

Apart from year 1 students that take general courses, year 3 and year 4 are not that much, general courses lectures can be banned while only materials is given to the students.

These people know how to divide the classes.

31 deaths...that is where I am really afraid. Can they give us figures per state? Lumping them together and giving us total figure is not helping matters. Let them give us the break down of fatality per state. This way, people will know which state is having the highest death toll and they will be more serious about it.
The 31 deaths is not for one day according to NCDC
