Romance › Re: Do I Tell My Boyfriend He's Not Smart ? by Saintinoo(m): 10:40am On Jun 07, 2020 |
cynosuree: Good morning. This issue has been bothering me for a long time, and I feel like it's too sensitive to ask for second opinions from people I know so I figured I'd maybe ask some strangers on the internet.
I've been with my boyfriend for about 6 months now and he's everything I ever wanted in a man. Physically, he's gorgeous, and he also loves me alot. He's kind, he's patient, communicates effectively and all. You know, all the good stuff.
But here's the problem, he cannot hold a conversation beyond "what are you doing" , "what did you eat" (and all that boring stuff) to save his life. I'm not even talking about intellectual conversations like quantum theory or anything, normal conversations about stuff that's happening around the world or around us. Anytime we try to, it usually fails spectacularly. He either ends up missing the ENTIRE point and saying something totally unrelated, or he just waits for me to say what I think so he can go "Yeeaaaa that's true" , leaving me really pissed.
He has absolutely NOTHING intelligent to contribute to any serious conversation, and this hurts me alot because it is a HUGE turn off and I'm slowly losing interest in him. It's a very tricky situation because he does/did well academically, he graduated with very good grades but that's about it...nothing more. I didn't notice it at first - before we started dating, or I would never have dated him because it is a deal breaker for me.
I have considered telling him but I don't exactly know how to approach the conversation without being rude/insensitive, I know telling him would really hurt him and I don't want that. I've also thought about learning how to live with it, because no one is perfect right? Maybe I'm asking for too much?
The latter option is what I've been doing and it's gradually killing me. I fear that I'll fall out of love completely with him and end up hating myself for ruining a good thing, because he's a really good guy .
I'd like to know what you think Some woman are truely stupid, no pun intended, you just found yourselve a better guy and then what? He is not smart, make him smart, bring up conversations that will make him talk smart. I believe you will not take much of it if he tells you what he doesn't like about you... If you feel you want a perfect man then ask God for permission to mould your own type of man. |

The only different is that the Covid-19 patients in government isolation centres are enjoying the dividend of democracy because all expenses paid by government. The vital point is that all the Covid-19 patients in Nigeria both known and unknown patients are Malaria patients Na wa o, you got me reading this with all seriousness. |

We are talking of so called COVID donations from the WHO, not EU 21B. Please be guilded, W.H.O is not a revenue generating agency of the United Nations... W.H.O did not donated any money to any country, W.H.O depends on donations from member countries in order to survive. Please enrich yourself with info, organisations like EU, IMF, and and countries like US,,Germany donated money to FG to help against coronavirus, W.H.O donated medical supplies to Nigeria and that is all. |

Was it meant to be shared?
Or was it meant to be used in taking care of COVID19 patients? Are you new in Nigeria, when EU donated the first 21bn, Nigeria govt said they will use it to excute the budget, EU said that the money is meant for the poor Nigerians, up till today which poor Nigerian have received a kobo.... It's just speculations!
If world bodies like WHO makes such a donation, I believe they will have to announce it somewhere, or don't you think so? Oga it's no speculation... EU donated 21bn naira twice to Nigeria govt, US gave 135m dollars, IMF and Worldbank gave Loans to Nigeria to be share among states hit with coronavirus, UK also donated, google is your friend. |

But the only thing that keeps baffling me is the question on how our so called "leaders" are benefitting from the COVID19 SCAMdemic?
Care to explain, please? Go to google... Search and total the donations into govt account from Private companies in Nigeria, NGOs, MNCs, USA, EU, Germany donated twice, UK, UN, IMF loan, IBRD loan, Bill gate grant, etc... This money should be up to 500bn. Then calculate how much was withdrawn from govt account to fight this virus and pay the poor nNigerians. You will get your answers there. You are welcome. |

The fact that the government is taking it serious should be a sign...especially as it affected the elite disproportionately.
Also, the economic shutdown affects government more badly. Less money to chop. Sure, they get money for covid treatment support, but it is far less than the money they would have gotten if there was no crisis in the first place.
Nigeria is a corrupt nation, but even in matters like this, we have to be serious too. Especially when the first victims include a high number of highly ranked government officials. What is this one saying... |

Imf and Worldbank loans to be given to states with coronavirus cases. 2. States hit hard with coronavirus will forget any capital projects and focus on only paying of salaries. You know what happens to d rest money. 3. States hit by coronavirus will inflate money used for treatment. 4. Private sector will donate to states. 5. FG will give grant to states worst hit by the virus. 6. International NGOs will donate, mostly those based in the state. 7. Sharing of EU, Germany and US grant to the states with high cases. Mind you these countries have given Nigeria more than 100bn naira. 8. Post covid-19 money sharing anticipation. The list will not finish.... Do ur own findings. |

Yesterday and today NCDC tested 4k samples each, they said they are rounding up testing so we should expect more cases, that means they want to reach their peak this month. Remember PTF chairman Boss said FG will hands off and the next easing of lockdown will be decided by the states and community leaders. When they were testing 1000+ we had 200, 300 cases, now they are testing 4000 were still have same number of cases. Let me stop here, i thank God they are close to reaching their peak, hopefully they will open up everywhere next month. |

If religion is essential, education is essential. If the economy is essential, education is more essential. Open Our Campuses
Nigeria Students are beginning to agitate for the reopening of schools across the nation which has been closed down for over two months now due to the Coronavirus pandemic. Most have taken to social media to agitate and call on other students to engage in an online protest against the continuous lockdown of schools.
Comr. Akpobasah Omokri, president of the National Association Of Delta State Student NADESSTU, Federal University Otuoke Chapter, Bayelsa State in his reaction states that if it is safe for the federal government to reopen religious centres and markets, then it’s also safe for schools to be reopened.
Nigeria Student Leaders Demand Immediate Reopening Of Schools And Campuses “If it is safe for churches to open, schools can open. If social distancing can be observed in the market, then students can observe it. If it is safe for traders to go to the market, students can also go to the classrooms. If it is safe to resume aviation, it is safe to open schools. The continuous shutdown of our campuses only points out that the educational sector is the least prioritized sector in Nigeria.”
According to him, so far, there are about 509 confirmed cases in Tanzania. For two weeks now, there have been no reports of new cases. Tanzanian government never adopted the total lockdown approach. Instead, The government placed more emphasis on individuals maintaining personal hygiene. The president stated that there is no point locking people down when the government can’t provide for them.

Continuation of the lockdown in Nigeria will be of no effect. A total waste of time. Open the economy and all other sectors and let the citizens adapt to the new normal. COVID-19 will surely not be here forever but it is not leaving soon. Until it leaves, let’s live with it, he said. I call on every Nigerian Student to use their Twitter handle to demonstrate a non-violence protest, lets shed our grievances to the Federal Government of Nigeria. It’s been over two months since we have been kept out of school.
The Government claimed there was Covid-19 in the Country, we obeyed all the necessary measures but now they have decided to reopen religious centers, Markets, and local flights and also promised to announce a date to reopen international flights, while nothing at all is been said regarding our resumption date.
I feel the Federal Government is scared of facing ASUU by using Covid-19 as a cover and we the Nigeria Students are tired of being the grass who suffers each time the two elephants get on each other’s neck.
Our future is as at stake if we continue staying at home while other aspects of the Society is gradually returning to normal... Read FULL story on Tori4Town Following..... |
