CareerRe: Tribalism In Nigerian Banks' Employment by saintneo(m): 5:16pm On Jun 21, 2012
The OP's post might be true. However, I can confirm to you that as an Igbo boy, I worked in FCMB(first job), I didn't know anyone in FCMB but I was in an executive meeting involving the MD of FCMB on my first week at work. Don't ask me the position I was then, it was all the favour of God, my intelligence and my wits.

Logic Mind: Churches in enugu will get richer this weekend.
The god of catastrophes has struck again and they will flock to thank him for saving their lives.
you are such an atheist! cool LWKMD

There is nothing wrong in thanking God for survival; but the people that rescued the girl that trapped in the collapse are very responsive as well. Christianity is a way of life that inputs godly morals, ethics and bravery into men.

Taking into account the crash of Dana Air, there has being stories making some rounds that some of the passengers could have being rescued, instead some hoodlums were in a hurry to loot the crashed plane ~ source.
From my perspective, I think there is a lot of moral decadence in Nigeria and the world in general. If people had godly morals, bravery and ethics, some of the passengers could have being rescued.

IslamRe: Can A Muslim Keep A Fixed Deposit Account? by saintneo(m): 6:23pm On May 31, 2012
bilms: fixed deposit is allowed in islam.

the reason why its allowed is this.

the money has to stay for some certain period.

during this period, the bank use the money for business and the return they give u is ur share from the profit of the business.

so u can put ur money there.

masallam
Do you know what business it is? What if the money is used by a Bank Customer that trades in Nigerian Breweries products.

Sorry to spoil the plan but when thinking of business, think about Profit then People.
PoliticsWhat A Great Diversion? by saintneo(op): 9:23pm On May 30, 2012
There is nothing fickle as the mob.

There were employment issues - Sanusi sacking people.
There was the bloody rain on baboons & dogs - Buhari turning into a prophet.
There was annihilation of citizens - BH doing what the know best.
There were pension scam, NSE bribery, etc

Now, there is MAU(aka MALU or MAUL), we Nigerians seem to forget everything else with easy.

The mob is fickle. We will forget about MALU once another headline hits the media.

Keneking: Only Igbo's are getting the champions league in Nigeria, where are th orubas and ausas
another diversion.

livapul86: I didn't want to comment but I think some of you guys need a thorough education on the roles of a professional player. You chatised Mikel's one touch pass game without understanding that Mikel is basically retaining possession. As long as the opponent doesn't have the ball, his team can build up play. To most of you denouncing Mikel, your idea of a good player is someone that can take the ball and dribble 10 players and score. You fail to understand that there is as much job if not greater, to a solid CDM who is responsible for breaking the attacking forays of his opponent, finding those little spaces to link with the rest of his team mates. The Stats don't lie, Mikel is credited with the most passes and interceptions than any other Chelsea player. I watched the Barca's match( 2nd leg) twice to believe the Stats I saw. Mikel made more blocks than any other Chelsea player in that match.
With regards to yesterday's match, he was Phenomenal. In all 120mins, he only made one wrong pass and that was because Ryan Betrand failed to run. Please lets learn to give credit when it is due. Am a proud Liverpoolfc fan, I can say Mikel has been at his best in the latter stages of this year's Champions league.
who are we hiring next? YNWA!

REMMEI: Ta rate MIKEL's performance yesternight. . I'll rate him 10/10. . Hope he keeps getting better.

OBI IS NO LONGER A BOY..OBI IS A MAN.
10/10 is wrong. There were inaccurate passes, also he got a yellow card; thus, he is not 10/10 star. Nevertheless, he performed better than himself.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Rate Mikel Obi's Performance In The Champions League Final by saintneo(m): 1:02pm On May 20, 2012
tackle on Gomez on the flank was excellent. Overall, 9/10 as a defensive midfielder.

If that man ever becomes president, then it'll be a step backward for nigeria.
Not that I'm saying I'm a GEJ supporter. We don't have much options to choose from.

PoliticsRe: President Jonathan's Speech At Enugu Is Treasonable by saintneo(m): 7:48pm On May 19, 2012
egift: Mr. President GEJ Speech is a Treasonable offense because not only is it insulting to the dignity of of the Nigerian State, it as well undermines the sovereignty of the nation. How can a President of our great country Nigeria say that the Amalgamation of Nigeria in 1914 was a mistake.

Do you agree?
egift: Here is the report from Vanguard:

Nigeria’s problem didn’t start from my regime – Jonathan

PRESIDENT Goodluck Jonathan, yesterday, declared that the numerous problems confronting the nation did not start from his regime which commenced only two years ago.

He asked Nigerians to reassess their journey from independence till date with a view to ascertaining the areas where the nation had gone wrong in order to make amends.

According to the President, something must have gone wrong along the line from 1914 when the Southern and Northern Protectorate amalgamated till date, stressing that the problem of Nigeria did not start today.

He said: “Sometimes when critics are lambasting the government, my self as President and the governors sometimes begin to think that yes it is starting today. But what we promise Nigerians is that this country must change.

“When the Priest was speaking, I started asking myself – what must have gone wrong from 1914 that the Northern and Southern parts of the country were amalgamated? They were under colonial rule since 1960 when we started governing ourselves. From 1960 to date it is about 50 years.

“I don’t think it is the two years that President Jonathan assumed the office that these problems came up. So something must have gone wrong and all of us citizens of this country must reassess ourselves, our journey from independence till date, the areas that we have not done too well in order to effect a change.

“Let us not play politics with the development of the country. Let us work hard to change our country for the better. We have no other country to go to. There was a time we had a television play where Andrew wanted to check out of the country; we are not checking out of this country, we will all stay, we will all work together, do our best to change the country for our children.”
We need to be careful in deductive judgement. First, OP, GEJ never said the Amalgamation is a mistake. Instead, he said something must have wrong somewhere since the Amalgamation. Furthermore, he insists that we should look for solutions.
