I am concerned about the whole issue of church leadership. Are all ministers qualified to be preach at the pulpit. What qualifies one to minister Gods word, elevated to point of pastorate or leadership in the church.
For other profesion,from enginers to doctors,you should pass some trainin to show u poses d skill necesary to be a licesd profesional.
How does this work for the pastor? How is he certified a pastor? Any qualification?

Assuming I have a car, and everytime I drive, I always hit the car against a wall/gate; thereby having to take it to a panel beater everytime. Instead of taking caution when I drive, I become so carefree because I have someone who does the panel beating for me without any charge; what do you think will happen to the car in a short while? Before long, the car becomes weak over time and one day, it'll finally pack up!


Many christians today have succeeded in using activities to cover up for the besetting sins in their lives instead of prayerfully dealing with it. They feel since they can always run to God after such act, there is no need to totally exhume the 'root/source' of such sin. They thereby keep patching things up, until it becomes a stronghold and finally gets them 'down'! You call yourself a child of God and you feel so comfortable with lies, anger, lust, 2mins romance, masturbation, and even enjoy watching pornographic movies; oh because you think no one is watching you? But, why not look up and see that UNSEEN EYES watching you! You do all these in secret, and after satisfying your flesh, you quickly say a 2mins prayer of forgiveness just because you have to minister in the church, and afterwards, you go back into such sin? Why do you feel comfortable harbouring such 'vice/little foxes' that can destroy your 'vine'

My dear brothers/sisters, no man can be victorious if sin still has a space in him. The truth is if we refuse to fully repent and prayerfully terminate these besetting sins, they can in turn destroy a man. Usually, these besetting sins have a way of becoming a stronghold which becomes the 'control room' for the devil. Of course, it might not stop a man from 'pulling down the gates of his enemies', do exploits for God, win sinners to Christ; but it can limit him, steal his glory and lead him to hell! Beloved, is the devil having a foothold in your life? Are there some besetting sins that should be dealt with? Its high time you slowed down with church activities, and cry out to God for total deliverance first. Our life being right with God is more important than our service for God. Let's do everything possible to make it to Heaven. Get rid of that 'spot/stain' on your 'garment'.

1. The lying has stopped
Women feel better, after everything is out in the open. They believe that with the lying over with, they can begin to repair their marriages.

2. Love
Infidelity does not instantly cancel out love. A woman may still be very much in love with her husband or boyfriend, despite the fact that he has cheated on her.

3. They blame themselves
Self-recrimination seems to play a big part in why women stay with men who cheat. They blame themselves for their men’s behavior. “What did I do wrong to make him cheat?”

4. Financial reasons
There are women who are unable to, or believe they cannot make it on their own without the financial support of a cheating partner.

5. Convenience
It may be more convenient to stay with the cheater for the time being, until certain legal or financial measures have been put into place.

6. For the sake of the children
Some women feel that children should be raised in a two-parent home at all costs.

7. Desire to one up, the other woman
“Hell hath no fury, like a woman scorned” Wives who have been scored, may have the need to prove they won over the other woman. The wife may be hell bent on showing her husband’s mistress, that she was nothing more than a fling, while she, the wife, has the home, children and the good life.

8. Not willing to give up a certain lifestyle
Leaving a wealthy or prominent man may mean that a woman has to give up a lavish lifestyle that includes a luxurious home, fancy car, expensive clothes, and jewelry, exotic vacations and more.

9. Bad timing
The current economic situation, a serious illness, or any number of other problems may mean that leaving the cheater has to be temporarily put on hold.

10. Insufficient proof of infidelity
A woman may feel that she lacks sufficient proof that her spouse or significant other is actually having an affair.

11. Fear of change
Leaving a long-time partner is a life-altering decision. A woman may be afraid to make such a drastic change in her life.

12. Low self-esteem
A woman may have so little confidence in herself that she feels unable to make it on her own.

13. Honoring the marriage vows
Some women take their marriages vows literally, which say: “for richer for poorer, for better or worse, in sickness and in health, till death do us part.” These women take seriously the vows they have made, and desire to obey them, even to the bitter end.

14. Thinking the cheater will change
A woman may truly believe that a husband or boyfriend with a history of cheating will eventually change his cheating ways.
15. To achieve career goals
Remaining in the marriage or relationship with the cheater may be instrumental in the achievement of the woman’s career goals.
16. Hoping counseling will help
If the couple or the cheater himself is getting professional counseling, the woman may be hopeful that this will help.
17. Fear of being alone
Some women simply do not want to live without a man in their life and feel that even a cheating man is better than no man at all.
18. Religious beliefs
Some wives feel that divorcing a cheating husband goes against their religious beliefs.
19. Desire to keep the family intact
There are wives who believe it is important to keep up the illusion of an intact family, despite the fact that their husbands are having an affair.
20. Belief that it will not happen again
A woman may feel that her partner’s infidelity is an isolated incident that will never happen again.

Is Divorce Contagious? – When my friend cheated on his wife, I questioned my own marriage.



I remember not so long ago when my friend, John, cheated on his wife. At first I was simply startled, surprised, really, and a bit disappointed in him. I mean, he seemed to have the perfect marriage. He had a nice house, three wonderful kids,great job, and a beautiful wife. So what was wrong?

After I found out about his affair I invited him to meet up with me at local bar you know, just to have a couple of beers and to catch up. I wanted to ask him about what had happened, but at the same time I didn’t want to be too nosey about it, as it really wasn’t any of my business.


We met up at about 6pm, right after work, and ordered a couple beers. The first thing that struck me when I saw him was how happy he was. Really, he was the happiest I had seen him in years (and we’re friends from childhood).

I didn’t want to beat around the bush, so I asked him straight up, “why did you cheat on your wife?”. His answer? “I had to”.
“I had to”!!!

I didn’t buy it.

“But, John,” I said, “you were so happy together. What changed?”

He told me that nothing really changed, but just over time he got bored and didn’t feel a connection with his wife anymore. Apparently his wife also felt the same, so the resulting divorce was a mutual decision.

After meeting with John I started thinking about my own marriage. Was I truly happy? Was my wife happy? These were things that I hadn’t even questioned until John and his wife had their problems.

Experiment 2: pain avoidance.



Your child may be an academic dumbass, but that does not mean they lack intelligence. Sometimes natural intellect shows itself in ways other than the traditional ability to take tests.


The pain avoidance experiment is a good way to determine whether or not your child possesses those 'street smarts.'


1) In this experiment you will be punishing your child for an arbitrary behaviour or set of behaviours. You cannot tell your child why they are being punished. The point of the experiment is to see how long it takes them to work it out for themselves.

2) Make sure you choose a behaviour that will occur at least once every few days. For the best possible results, choose a behaviour that might occur everyday. Here are some of our examples of behaviours to punish:

a) asking for pocket money

b) asking for sweets/crisps/chocolate/non-Nigerian food

c) not cleaning their room

d) not cleaning your room

e) not doing homework

f) not having homework (they really should be asking for extra homework from school)

g) having friends that you disapprove of

h) having friends with parents that you disapprove of

i) having an opinion that is contrary to yours (you may punish them for expressing any kind of opinion)

j) not washing the dishes

k) not washing the dishes properly

l) smiling too much or laughing in the house

You may have some ideas of your own, feel free to implement them. The key to this experiment is to consistently punish the child every time that behaviour manifests.

3) If your child stops that behaviour within two days, add another behaviour to the list. Keep adding them for at least week. If your child is avoiding all those behaviours that result in punishment, then congratulations. Your child is at least as intelligent as a chimpanzee.

If, however, after two weeks your child still has not worked out which behaviours are resulting in their beating, then it will be safe to assume that your child is less intelligent than a chimpanzee; properly more on par with a mildly concussed German Shepherd (the breed of dog, not the nationality and occupation).

If your child fails experiment number 2, then you must invest in a private education.

Unfortunately, with such a lack of common sense and no basic survival instincts, your child will need to also develop a complete lack of conscience and morality

INTELLIGENCE
There is an issue that most Nigerian parents shy away from discussing. It puts fear into our souls and strikes at the very root of how we see ourselves as a nation.


Stupidity.

Not arrogance, or stubbornness or simple ignorant lack of education. Actual double-digit stupidity.
What if your child is not lazy, or misbehaving? What if your child actually lacks any kind of common sense or intellectual capacity? To use an American phrase: what if your child is a dumbass?

If you suspect that your child might be a dumbass, do not panic. Firstly, you must investigate. Follow the correct scientific methodology to eliminate all other possibilities before you accept the conclusion that your child is a dumbass.

Hypothesis: my child might be 'less able' (British word for dumbass). Run a series of experiments that will either prove or disprove this hypothesis.


Experiment one: exam paper.
1) Request a test paper from your child's school, one that is suitable for his or her age group. Administer the test, and then either mark it yourself or hire a tutor to mark it for you.
2) If the test is average for the age, then your child is lazy, and must be beaten. Ensure that the child understands that it was their failure to achieve better than their colleagues at school that resulted in this beating.
3) If the test is higher than average, then your child did not apply him/herself at school. Beat the child for not doing their best at school. Show a small amount of approval for the decent test score. This way the child knows that a small amount of approval will result from good marks at school, while a great amount of beatings will result from not getting good marks.
4) If the test is below average, beat your child thoroughly. Then administer another test. If it is still below average, beat them again.
5) We recommend repeating this process at least fifteen times. If they are still below average after fifteen rounds of beatings, then you can safely conclude that your child is a dumbass.
However, this is not a total disaster. If you remember our example of the private school system and election of Bush Junior, then you should know that being a dumbass will not necessarily be a bar to your child's success. It's just that the success will be very, very expensive to achieve.
If you cannot afford private (or public) schools, a tutor is a cheap and effective way of temporarily boosting your child's achievement. Always hire postgraduate students, as they are more desperate for the money and will inadvertently expose your child to complex ideas at no extra cost.
