Education in its broadest sense is any act or experience that has a formative effect on the mind, character or physical ability of an individual. In its technical sense education is the process by which society deliberately transmits its accumulated knowledge, skills and values from one generation to another. However any educated person should try as much as possible to update themselves on the meaning of banking, significance, system and must especially the origin of global meltdown. People should stop fighting but educate ourself. The present banking system is not reliable. I presumed strongly that the advantage of Islamic Banking cannot be over-emphasis. Although I still think their should be clean competitions among banks. The Islam bank should be allow to operate and supported by necessary agent. Imagine the interest rate in the country today; some even collect about 100% on loans and advances. Religion apart the banking system in Nigeria is very bad and not encouraging. |
they are buying big cars with our money, build big houses and yet they want poor to remain poor |
KEEPING to its promise to recover as much of its outstanding debt as possible, the management of the Wema Bank Plc on Monday took to the streets of Ado-Ekiti, the Ekiti State capital, sealing off the shops and warehouses of scores of businessmen and women believed to be owing the bank. The bank team, led by one of its officers in the western zone, caused a stir on major streets and markets in the metropolis of the town as passers-by gathered to witness the exercise. The team, in a convoy of branded Wema Bank cars, moved from the business premises of one debtor to another, demanding for the payment of credit facilities granted them. The exercise also caused traffic snarl on the major roads of Ajilosun, Oja-Oba and Opopogboro area, among others, where the bank’s debtors were doing their businesses. Most of the debtors, on sighting the team, took to their heels leaving behind their sales attendants to attend to the team. At a popular cement warehouse at Ajilosun on Ado-Ikere Road, the owner of the warehouse took to his heels on sighting the team, while the salesgirl on duty was taken away and the warehouse locked up by the team. Speaking with the Nigerian Tribune, a member of the team, who pleaded anonymity, said the action was part of the debt recovery efforts of the bank in the SouthWest, saying that the team would, before the end of the week, visit all debtors across the 16 local government areas of the state to demand for the money owed the bank. http://www.tribune.com.ng/01092009/news/news3.html |

I really feel sorry for this country. The people of Niger Delta should stop insulting their good representative. The likes of Godwin Ubaka Okeke and Peter Edoche should be respected. They can steal, disgrace or even beat their political office holder who perharps represent them badly. These guys are just business man and don’t have much to gain from the petroleum. Alhough, Kidnapping bz is now a real and good bz. and not in the intrest of the people, it must therefore be stop, |

BARIKA JUMAH, JUMAH today was splendid, the Iman lecture on the meaning and significance of good fasting. It teaches us the act of good deed we could do for Allah to bless us more during this period, with more emphasis on charity. |

Bill Gates organized an enormous session; to recruit a new Chairman for Microsoft Europe. 5000 candidates assembled in a large room. One candidate was Chukwujekwu a Nigerian living in USA. Bill Gates thanked all the candidates for coming and asking those who do not know JAVA programming to leave, 2000 people left. Chukwujekwu said to himself, I do not know JAVA, but I have nothing to lose if I stay. I'll give it a try. Bill Gates asked the candidates who never had experience of managing more than 100 people to leave, 2000 people left and Chukwujekwu said to himself I never managed; anybody by myself, but I have nothing to lose if I stay. What can happen to me? So he stayed behind again. Then Bill Gates asked candidates who didn't have a minimum of a Diploma in Business Management to leave. 500 people left the room. Chukwujekwu said to himself, I left school at 15, just after standard 6, but what have I got to lose. So, he stayed in the room. Lastly, Bill Gates asked the candidates who do not speak Serb-Croat to leave. 498 people left the room. Chukwujekwu says to himself, I do not speak one word of Serb-Croat and I'm pretty sure Gates doesn't either so what do I have to lose. So he stayed and finds himself with one other candidate. EVERYONE ELSE HAS GONE. Bill Gates joined them and said, Apparently you are the only two candidates who have all the required qualifications & experience I am looking for and speak Serb-Croat, so I'd now like to hear you have a conversation together in that language. And, Chukwuje kwu turned to the other candidate and in a hoarse voice said "Nnaa di anyi how far? Kedu kwanu? Wetin no dey sha; Biko gwa'm okwu!!!" The other candidate answered calmly but clearly saying "Omo oyinbo die die o, bawo ni? ma ba chance mi je o. Mo need; ishe yi badly shaa, !!" Chukwujekwu was stunned!!!! , but that was nothing compared to the shock in the eyes of both candidates when Gates said, "Ha ba you Nigerians HA BA!!!! Na wetin Sef? Una wan tryyyyyyy meeeee?" |
