Let me share an insight into why I am looking for the sewage pump so badly. |
There used to be a farm in Bulangu, Kafin Hausa LG area of Jigawa growing this sometimes ago. I was there. Though the farm is no more now but the structures are still there. Irrigation facilities was provided but I guess something went wrong. Even veggies were grown in nethouse. Someone from that area can shed light on what went wrong there.. In Nigeria here, we have a lot of possibilities. |
Well, depends on how you look at it. This your idea is what gives a lot of people hearthache. Why, truth be told you might plant it at that time and make bounty gains but I am very sure 95% of those who go by this speculation return frustrated because the likelihood is that not all of their produce will do well. All through february, i bet it only rained sparingly here which is not enough to germinate your seed talkless of nurturing it till maturity. But the good side is that with your suggestion I will encourage you not to grow in large quantity all at once in anticipation to target high price, rather stagger your planting 2-3 weeks interval such that if the first set fails, you are sure you have a back up in the second set. My 2 cent here. He that has ear let him take heed. Thats y, i was so fascinated with Jasper's all year round cultivation of course with irrigation. You sell the least price and also sell the highest price. |
Lesgupnigeria:Please, I want to challenge you on this your timing that you put up here. Are you the rain keeper to suggest that everyone should plant at this time. Remember our weathers varies. If you plant these crops on these days, you must be ready for a gamble with the rains. Experienced farmers will know better. Rather than making people go through a gamble, suggest how they will minimise cost, use the best of farming practices and good storage methods. Then can investments in agriculture be profitable not telling them to gamble. Else teach them how you make the rains! |

Hello house. Please I crave your indulgence to help me source for this type of waste water pump. It is powered by tractor PTO. I need this to evacuate poultry sewage in large quantity. This is not for commercial use but for private use. Cocumbits, maize and ewedu is what we plan using the poultry sewage to plant. The Tractor to power it available. Anybody who have come across it being used, or has it for sale should contact me. This one pictured is an ordinary water pump and cannot be used for sewage. It was found online in Italy. Dont know how to go about it I should find it here in Nigeria |
How serious are you? Is this purchase for once or continuos? I just closed down my 300laying quail farm. If the supply is continuos. contact me and we can work something out |
Pavore9:@Pavore. Can you share with us how fruits and vegetables are distributed in Kenya? @All. If you've seen vegetable and fruits are distributed/marketed in other climes. Lets share idea on this. I guess we'll find some insight from that. |
Egba mi! No be banana you people dey talk? Please. ogede abi? What has changed that I am not aware about? |
I have found out one secret in my sojourn in business. If you want to make it big time; i mean you want to be earning 6 digits income monthly. You spend excessively on Branding. It comes back in 3 folds. But wait oo. How can one kick start branding for fruits/veggies? |
jeffmyson:Since you've been in the trade, can you take your time to spell it out step by step guide to exporting commodities. If you share pitfalls, loopholes and areas of concerns to look out for. |
I believe its our distribution system that is working against us. Since the distribution system is not organised, then not much can be gotten or expected. Branded farm produce will not see the light of the day ( will not move the market) if it is being distributed under this chaotic open market system we are operating. Please note that if the packaging is gotten right. The sky is the limit. I understand people who grow broilers birds in large scale usually run into challenges disposing their bird during off-seasons but Zartech and Syed farms (ibadan) are doing creditably well in that aspect. But guess what- these 2 giants are owned and run by lebanese who are "suppossedly whites". My point here is because of our import all mentality and our belief that all that is made by whites are best. We neglect our indigenous innovations. Agricultural produce branding can not go alone except highly organised distribution centers are opened up which will seem more like a chain of agricultural fruits stores. You are looking in the right direction anyway. But remember this will cost a fortune but the pros far outway the cons. |
