Karleb: 30k. Got it.
So how much to process the visa? You really need to read around what you want to do. Visa price is a function of which country you want to go to, what you want to do there, how long you intend to stay etc. Please do your research by yourself else travel agents will dupe you of your hard earned money and you will still be deported. Believe me, it's not rocket science. You can do it all by yourself |

There's the one for five years with 32 pages and another of five years for 64 pages for frequent travellers. The price depends on what you want. From 35k to 50k if you want express. I did the new ten-year passport of 64 pages for... better believe me....90k. That one is available in the Ikoyi office. It's costly, but it spares me the stress of going there too frequently. |

Guruwerkcanada: If you have never left the shore of Nigeria, you can never understand why people relocate. I used to be a core patriotic Nigerian and most people were shocked after I relocated. People relocate just to regain sanity. The truth about Canada is, no matter how 'lazy' you are, there is something for you. Heck you don't even pay for education if you come in as permanent resident. You get a grant instead. Education is free for kids till end of high school. You get well compensated for your skills. I have a whole lots of reasons but cant possibly say it all. Be wise and Japa if you can. I still love my country. I want a brighter future for my kids though. What's the cost of a PR? For one person |

More education has come, the dream job, the kids, the house/houses and a few odd millions have all come. But nothing matches the joy of that day. That experience reminds me everyday that God is real |

Politics › Re: Kukah: There Could've Been Coup If A Non-Northern Practised Nepotism Like Buhari by salt1: 7:41am On Dec 26, 2020 |
Excuzeme: I want to look at this from a different angle or let me say l see it from a different angle. Buhari knows exactly what he set out to achieve, what his agenda is, how to go about achieving it and the time-table to achieve it. In addition and most importantly. Buhari knows exactly what Rev. Kukah just said, since far back as the second Republic. That is, Buhari knows that any President who tries to run Nigeria with the way and Nepotistic manner he is doing, will get ousted from power. He tried it in his 1983-1985 Coup, he was ousted in another Coup.
But he learnt some lessons from that and this time around, though still fixated on the same ideology of Nepotism, Crass incompetence, Fulanisation Agenda and foistering of 'completely dunce loyalist' in position of authority over intelligent options, he took steps to ensure that he could not be removed. This is why he does not even blink once, when everyone points it out to him that the Service Chiefs are past their Expiry date, he does not care a hot about that, even if the whole country burns, as long as those guys remain loyal to only one Project: keeping him safe in power, while he busies himself implementing his laid out agenda.
So, Rev. Kuka needs to understand that it is not because Buhari does not know or because he is lucky or the Christians are afraid or Nigerians are afraid to oust him from bringing this country to probable war and ruin, it is because Buhari has put loyalist in-place, in every sector and position that matters for his own safety. He has also assembled a large Army of foreign, terrorists Fulani herdsmen, from all over West Africa, ready to be deployed (and some of them are even engaged in "undeclared war" on unarmed Nigerians in the Middle Belt states, Eastern and South West Fringes) Any other President who has an agenda like this, can do the same thing, it is all a matter of planning and support by his allies in his region.
A Southern President, come 2023, also has the option (infact, has the DUTY) to remove all these Buhari Loyalist and replace them with his own loyalist and then begin the Agenda of reversing the Fulanisation Agenda and make it a Southern Agenda and their is nothing the Northerner or Fulani can o about it than grumble the way we are all grumbling now.
The Southern Nigeria and Middle belt can decide enough is enough and declare secession, at worst, Buhari will unleash his loyal Service Chiefs and military on us, though the Military might be commanded by Buhari's loyalist and Mostly Northerners (not forgetting the terrorists, ARMED Fulani Herdsmen he invited into Nigeria, form countries like Niger Republic, Sudan, Mali, Guinea, Northern Cameroun, etc), It is still a fact that there are Southerners in the Armed Forces, may be in smaller numbers but be that as it may, Civil war will break out and we all will sort out ourselves eventually.
A stitch in time saves nine. We may decide to just wait him out but we are not sure if there will still be a free Southern and Middle belt of Nigeria, by the time 2023 comes around and he is done with executing his evil plans. Middle belt and Southern Nigerians must never think they are powerless or incapacitated or intimidated to determine their own destiny or confront the enslavement by foreign Fulanis, that Buhari, who himself is from Niger Republic, wants to foster on us.
Nigeria is no longer Nigeria, since 2016 under Buhari and this country is no longer ONE NIGERIA. May God forgive me for voting Buhari in 2015, it is the greatest mistake of a lifetime. Brilliant analysis! But I see nemesis already catching up with them. Buhari sowed the wind and is reaping the whirlwind evidenced by the security challenge in the North. The only irritating thing for me is that the average Northern Muslim doesn't mind dying. They're already suicidal, so the bloodletting in their domain doesn't bother them. |

DeMoneyGenius: Understanding the spiritual is a lil more complicated than people think. Problem is that a lot of people just rely on what their religious leaders tell them rather than digging into the dynamics of spirituality. The universe is a closed system hence, it has a constant amount of energy. This energy can be harnessed to do several number of things. I'm sure you already know that I am definitely not talking about physical energy. Physics defines power as the rate at which energy is transferred. Same process happens in the spiritual realm.
Now here's the real thing.
nothing goes for nothing
If you want access to that power, you have to give something in return (to re-balance the energy). There are a number of ways to go about it. Fast and pray to whatever name you call that power. In Christianity, the name is Jehovah. Judaism say it's Yahweh. Muslims say it's Allah. Hindus prefer Shiva. And a lot of others. In Nigerian traditional religion (Yoruba for instance), the name of that power/powerful being depends on the aim of the power sought. That's why you have Sango Ifa/Orunmila Ogun, etc.
Every of these religious adherents seek power from one and the same source.
The famous physicist, Isaac Newton noted that nothing moves except something else (force) causes it to move. In Christianity, it is recorded that Jesus was sacrificed (human sacrifice) to move a certain power (God, Jehovah, Yahweh, Elohim). Blood was shed/given/lost. Does fasting makes someone lose blood? Yes, it does! Research shows that absolute fasting leads to about 14% loss of total blood volume over a period of 10 days. Where does the blood go to? Well... The explanation is quite very long. But I believe you should have seen where I am going to. Bottom line is: To access spiritual power, You must: 1. Believe in something (faith) 2. Do something (works) 3. Give something (sacrifice) 4. Then you can receive something (reward). I like the four things listed |

SmartPolician: It's difficult convincing a devout Christian who has turned an atheists to return to God.
Pretend all you want, we have all been in circumstances where we fasted and prayed to God for something and we never got it.
Indeed, it makes many people question the very essence of Christianity/religion. Such a conclusion comes from a flawed theology. We can't have all the things we want even though we pray and fast for them. We subject our desires to God to overrule and to provide. Accepting His Lordship means that we believe He knows what's good for us even when it's a no. I know this isn't what mercantile Christianity is teaching where believers are taught that once you have faith and pray fervently, He will give you everything. God won't be a loving, indulgent Father Whom we can arm twist with faith into granting any flimsy requests. He knows and provides what's best for us. Op was worshipping God for what he could get out of religion. What about serving Him because it's the right thing to do? Godliness isn't measured by worldly possessions. |
Family › Re: Help Anytime I Get Angry I Destroy Things by salt1: 4:51pm On Dec 21, 2020 |
Hostermipo: A person has the habit of banging his fist on the table hard when he is angry. But he doesn’t do that when there is flimsy glass table in front of him.
A person has the habit of throwing whatever is there in his hand when he is angry. But he may not do that when there is a $1500 brand new phone in his hand.
A person has the habit of kicking something in front of him when he is angry, But he may not do that when there is thorn bush in front of him or infront of the wall.
So if you notice the common thing here
When a person is angry— most of the times— he subconsciously knows how to show it without hurting himself.
The extension of this behaviour is,
You show anger only on people whom you think are not stronger than you and who don’t have the power to harm you back.
For example:
When a server is pouring you water and it spills on your shirt, you will shout at him. But, when your boss is passing you coffee and it spills on your shirt, you might not shout. You may even smile ‘It’s okay.’
You will think twice before you show anger on someone who is than you.
But with people whom you think are lower than you or whom you take for granted, you show it effortlessly. Because you are clearly aware, they can’t hit back at you or that they will come back to you irrespective of whatever you say during anger.
Don't always save your worst temper for the one who loves you the most.
I hope this helps you Source: https://www.quora.com/q/psychologyrelationship/What-are-the-most-interesting-facts-about-human-behavior-19?ch=10&share=c1300c36&srid=uWDu5 This is the truth!!! Anger issues are only shown to your social or physical inferiors. Try that with someone bigger or more important than you and you will get humble. You don't have anger issues. You have an oversized ego. If you don't control your outbursts, experience will teach you. Anger lives in the heart of FOOLS |

Fairview1: Nnnaam, you are a very brave man. I admire your move in terms of taking up the road which is less traveled.
For the fact that you even managed and get to know about Nairaland, I can assure you one thing__you have a glorious Destiny ahead of you, don't let anything to ruin it for you.
You, I am telling you this because I have trailed the same path and was at some point found myself in this same situation.
I served my boss for 7years. Before leaving for the apprenticeship,it was agreed that I was only going to spend 5 years. Which later protracted to 7 good years of service doing harrd labour.
By the time when it got to the point where I was supposed to get settled and boss had no plans for me, I became very skeptical and worried and also lost trust in all his promises.
I felt that a man who can not abide by a general agreement, regardless of how big you are should not be trusted...so I had to start making way for myself just in case he wake up one day and accuse me of something which I didn't do.
Long before I met him, he was in one of the informal market running a struggling subsistence food stuff business under a lockup shop.
By the time I left him, with my God given initiative, I managed to grow his business into a busy supermarket outlets with seven branches scattered across Abuja municipal area council with turnover and compounded annual revenue reaching over a billion Naira.
All this while, I never bothered to steal or save his money. I was always contended with what is made available per time not until it got the point when I was supposed to be settled and his failed to honour his own promise and agreement.
I began saving some money based on some runs and sharp practises I did in the course of the business operations. I was able to save up about 3m in the first year which was supposed to make it six years and business was moving very well regardless of what was happening
On the second year of my post Steward service which was the 7th on his own calendar, my heart was very troubled and I had to reinvest the money back in his business, on which we did exceptionally well by the end of the year's business cycle and exactly the year which he settled me.
Guess how much he gave me:
1.5m! Which was barely enough to secure me a shop in the same shopping complex not to even talk of procuring inventory and buying up the needed facility to be used in setting up the place.
The story is too long but let me make is short...
It's been two years now since I got settled but I can assure you that my business is far more doing better in terms of cash flow, than I left him, and as well, I have been able to secure three more outlets within this shortest period of time and have more people working for me than I left him.
What's the moral lessons here:
1. Put your trust in God and believe 100% that he will always be there for you regardless whether your boss settles you properly or not.
2. Do not soil your hands just because of some partly amount of money which won't even make any meaning to you later in life. Don't loose your garden because of a little apple.
3. Saving money which do not belong to you has a psychological effect on the servants than it does to the masters. You won't even know how it will happen, but it will surely come back to haunt you.
4. If your boss isn't treating you well and you are skeptical about your chance of success in life after settlement.. don't steal from him, rather devise a sustainability plan that would cement you in the heart of your customers, suppliers, market neighbors and well wishers.
Do all these and you will be surprised as to where God will take you few years after your settlement. Don't bother about the bleakness of the economy, you must certainly come out strong and well informed and ready to take the market by the strom.
PS: Let me know if you need further advice on how to navigate your way through the apprenticeship service.
Your future is bright, don't loose it please. God bless you! I was blessed by your wise counsel. May God increase you and your business and family. This is refreshing |

KwaraRat: Parallel universe time warp
There are an infinite number of parallel universes out there
In every action we undertake here on Earth, there exists another plane where we do the opposite.
Your parallel being in a particular alternate universe maybe the very opposite of you now based on alternate decisions you made in that plane.
Your brother did die here on Earth but for some reason his alternate self in another plane came to this plane .
He learnt quickly that he was dead here and so avoided you not to upset you guys.
In most of these time warps, a guide will be here to take him back to his other plane.
Reasons why they remain here maybe because the alternate plane they came from may not be as good as here.
Maybe he found this universe more appealing than the one he came from.
He may not even know you as his brother as you may not exist in that plane as you might not have been born or died early without him knowing you. Your parents will though exist here.
Every universe has it's guide . Both the one in his universe and the one in this one would have noticed his absence or presence and would have been searching for him.
There are fugitive beings here who escaped to this time line and don't want to go back to theirs as they may find here more pleasant. Note that this plane maybe hell on Earth for some and in others they maybe rich and powerful .
These fugitives know themselves and act as guides to the new arrivals warning them not to distort the balance here.
Usually , they jump to this plane when one dies a violent and untimely death . An untimely and violent death causes all parallel existence of one being to experience same shock.
The angel of death may come for two or more of this being in their alternate planes since they vibrate the same death energy wave.
When he sees he makes a mistake in carrying the wrong being. Death then drops them back in their respective planes. This is where near death experiences occur.
But the angel of death is ret@rded and an asshole and fcks things up and usually makes the wrong delivery pickup and so he also makes the wrong fcked up return delivery .
Death be like : oops my bad .
Death is not evil. He is just plain stupid and that's why GOD gave him the assignment no other angel wanted. Are you for real? |
