APC guys did better. They refrained from attacking GEJ. But I still dont get why PDP always want us to compare GEJ with APC at d state level? When federal controls security, immigration, home affairs etc.
Why not compare state with state cos we dont know what APC can do at d feds until they get there.

Is it now a crime to choose to vote for a presidential candidate. This your GEJ was massively supported by this same Yorubas in d past.
Now it is GEJ that actually abandon us by not standing for the truth......
He chose Alams instead of the Yorubas
He chose Kashamu instead of the Yorubas
He chose Moro instead of the Yorubas
He chose Dieziani instead of the Yorubas
Intact the list is endless
His leadership incapability is open for all to see so why blame the Yoruba man on the street for doing what is right and rational?
And please stop viewing an important event like elections from an ethnic/religion point, its reason why you are loosing more votes from Yorubas.,,.,,,,,we warned you earlier.

Really some people are not very wise, rejoicing over the comments of some groups that are not recognize in Yoruba land. Just check the personalities behind the group of people endorsing GEJ in SW.
The president has lost SW already. Tune on your radio and hear peoples comment, is just too easy to know where the votes are going.
Politics / Re: Picture Of APGA Campain Poster Carrying Photo Of GEJ. by SamAfrik(m): 6:57pm On Jan 31, 2015
Do u guys know that this is not constitutionally acceptable. It can event hurt GEJ chances by misleading uneducated folks that your GEJ is running under APGA. What do u think will happen if they start thumb printing for cockerel instead of umbrella February 14th?

IPRS is unsurprisingly competitive. Have you looked at other RHD scholarships available to incoming international PhD students? I would like to think that your proposed uni has some other types of scholarship e.g. the tuition-only, top-up scholarship, etc. I thought it's dicey to proceed to pay the first year fees by yourself with the hope of tapping a scholarship by 2nd year except you are looking at significantly improving your scholarly capabilities before 2nd year (a.k.a publishing), which may not be realistic.

Based on my several months of experience applying for PhD positions, I would say the best person to talk to about funding is your proposed supervisor or postgraduate coordinator of your proposed program.

It may not come easily but if you pursue it religiously (and not give up), you'll definitely smile at the end.
Quite helpful.Thanks.
I'll intensify my search. Frankly, developed countries (from experience) are now creating more alternative financial interventions to their research students without necessarily depending on scholarships. Reason they live modest lives in the course of their study. I see Australia moving toward that direction soon.

No wonder , i was beginning to wonder how come only buhari's own kept moving and others remained stangnant even after i voted .
Don't be fooled by AIT's unreasonable excuses. didn't they put up checks against fraud. More so, Buhari has won virtually every poll conducted toward the election. I'm not surprised though, even public opinions on radio in the SW have been 8:2 in favour of Buhari, so Im not surprised.

By the way, i also school at university of sydney though i am a masters students
Thank you for your response. The IPRS form says only students presently undertaking their studies qualify for the semester 2 awards. That means alternative fundings will have to be sought for incoming students I guess. OK let's say a PhD student can manage to pay through the first year, do you think that chances are there to have scholarship or devise alternative interventions to meet his tuition?

I pay regular visits to the website.

yeah same thing happened in my own case. I was able to bring in egusi and ogbonno because they were well dried, ground and put in a transparent cellophane bag and well labelled. I even included the scientific names for both of them and the official at the Australian immigration centre was thoroughly impressed grin grin. However not every bag was checked as some people passed without opening their bags. Also make sure you answer any questions asked (while filling out the declaration form on the plane as well as when checked after landing) as truthfully as possible. Safe journey y"all

P.S- Is anyone heading to Sydney?
Hello Chookudi, pls any information regarding PhD study at the University of Sydney. Already secured a place at the faculty of veterinary science but will like to know practical measures PhD students undertake to cushion the effects of the high tuition. I did my masters in S/Africa and had a good academic experience. Thanks.

In war everything is fair game and they started it we are only trying to compliment their efforts by borrowing a leaf from them.
not true. even in wars there are rules of engagement, which most supporters of GEJ fail to realize. E.g u don't go tribal or religious in politics cos of its undesirable effects. we have seen that d initial calling APC Islamic only made them more appealing to d muslims . now tell me does a Muslim have any problem backing a party when PDP has already made a choice for them?
same thing applies to lies. when u are caught more than twice neutral voters start loosing interest in u and dont take u serious again.

You're beginning to sound pathetic as the D-day draws nearer.

You folks started the name calling thing and made all kinds of caricature about the first lady ,so right now I guess you're being served with the same dosage of your own bitter medicine, enjoy it and stop whining like a rabid dog my friend.
Your ability to dish out insults and violence and not expecting a reply and a reprisal baffles me and this is one reason why I still refer to you lots as : HALF MEN HALF DEMONS IN MAN'S CLOTHING.

An illiterate General that got to where he is today through the quota system will never be President in this country again......Mark my words.

Quit calling yourselves 'progressives' for all you represent is backwardness, violence and a quota system that doesn't respect the place of merit and hard work.

Buhari, the craddle robber who doubles as a coupist and a kidnapper will never be President in Nigeria under a democratic arrangement ,let him go and take care of his 150 cows.Quit supporting that failure personified jihadist and one more thing.....tell him to call his boys to order whom his likes disenfranchised through the Almajiri system in order to use them as their elements of destruction.
you don't get it. nobody is stopping anybody from throwing pranks or insulting (its also done in d developed nations). What is bad is twisting their words and deliberate falsifications of their opinion or image. That's shows they believe in telling lies to achieve their aim.

You don't have to appeal to them. They do more harm than good to their boss. They love twisting facts and lying just to malign GMB (pix of him looking at indecency on his tab comes to mind). We know them. I skip over their comments most times thereby missing d little time they manage to speak the truth.
I look forward to reading comments from the progressives. Unfortunately, its too late for them to redeem their image.

As the train moves to my SW, team APC should know that there is need to employ a bit emotions and use sentiments to block PDP completely in the zone. Though the educated/smart ones don't needs this (we already know that Jonathan has failed) but the teeming uneducated folks need to be bought over. Every loose ends must be attended to.

I think APC is falling for PDPs trick of issue based campaign. the little campaign I've seen from both sides showed that APC has taken the gentleman's approach while PDP is out calling Buhari names.
Imagine, they called him fascist and showed how he jailed pple 'for No reason' in their rallies today.

APC is not doing enough person attack for my liking sha!

Thank you to the king that knows whats at stake in Nigeria is beyond tribal affiliation but genuine nation building. May God grant us the change we passionately seek.
Thumbs up to you Obiagelli et al really love your contributions to rich discussions on this forum.
What reinforced my support for the opposition is that APC supporters on NL appear 10 times wiser than their counterparts and I value good reasoning!

Why do youths in Nigeria lack comprehension skill? You should all ask for forgiveness. Soyinka never endorsed anybody in the said article. Infact the writer of the article based his writings on the speculations/controversy from recent social media gossips.
The OP also succeeded in misleading a lot of people with that title.

Have you ever seen Fashola demonizing Tinubu cos of self glory?
Infact OBJ never start with una.
Jonathan started this mess, he's only reaping what he sowed overtime. He and his supporters are their own enemies.

Its obvious from the pix that Yorubas have stood up to what they believe in and suffered tyranny in Nigeria: From Soyinka to Fela to Funmilayo to Obsanjo etc Yet some people think Yorubas are coward.
Just show a tribe that has half the courageous people the Yorubas have and given to human right protection.
Let's work together to lift this nation without casting aspersion on each other.

Shame on TAN for carrying their bad luck to the eagles. Their first attempt into our soccer also resulted in a failure - women under 20 loss to Germany.
