I also do not believe that because you are saving lives, then it's a license to suffer. All over the world, doctors are earning very well and are still saving lives conveniently. The Nigerian case is very saddening. That's why we will always have brain drain, and people will always leave to climes where it is understood that saving lives is not synchronous with suffering.


Whether you did medicine for money, passion to save lives, or for fame, you will come to understand that the practice of medicine is all about principles. A doctor who's in for the money or fame but understands the principles of the practice is more relevant to the patient and will save more lives than one who is a just ''passionate to save lives'' but doesn't have a thorough drill of the profession. Doesn't matter what your intent is - just be sure you know what to do when the time is ripe.

otokx: back in the days when i was an undergraduate in uniport we did a course fortran 77 CSC 280.1 "csc" has always been the course coding for computer science with c for computer and sc for science.

Ceejayo: pharmacist need to first realise that our major problem isn't the doctors but us. pharmacy is still evolving in this country, I believe there are plenty of untapped opportunities we have not explored. lets develop those areas and stop focusing all our attention on hospital pharmacy.

I will advice you to make a very good-good research(using google and intellectual "Bussuals" on the two courses relating it to Nigeria and the outsides. . . . . At least, by then you will be able to decide for yourself.. . .. Mind you, don't let money take the lead but rather let passion lead. . . . .

Do any pharmacy school in we country offer Biologics in their curriculum?
Biologics are medcines/drugs gotten frm the sythenzination of the human moleclues, unlike the traditional pharma that is chemically sythenzised. And it is the fastest growing segment in the bio industry cos of its low side effects, cheaper model though more compex.

Well, PSN national conference concluded yesterday and it was really big!
Splendid, to say the least. I had a wonderful time.

The court cases coming up shortly btw PCN + PSN against the doctors (
not necessarily against) is going to shape the profession. We can only
pray for them, this doctors av too much political power but then,
there's nothing God cannot do.

Get ready for PharmD, get ready to have licensure exams after graduation
before u can work as a pharmacist.. Just how it is in the UK and US..
