I like this. A child shouldn't bear the name of a man who has to be forced by the courts to take care of said child.
Everything is given freely to these men. That's why they feel they can act anyhow. Treat their child any which way and have the child still bear their name and call them father.

It is a painful experience in Life but in the long run you will thank your God you took the right decision especially if the person does not worth it.

This happened to me in 2016 and I have been trying to make it work again but this lady kept frustrating every reconciliatory move.

I think our matrimonial laws need to be worked on,so as to balance the custody of the child in the event of divorce.

If the court is going to be granting child custody to woman,they should review this clause as woman use this to torment the father of the child and when she eventually settles down with another man she will still hold on to the child and send him/her to her mother.

Your story is very similar to my case .
I got married to this urhobo lady( a devorcee ) with a male child for her former husband. She narrated how the guy treated her bad and I had sympathy for her and married her.
Prior to the marriage her anger is dangerous for any human being to handle,infact she was angry one day and almost stabbed me.
To cut it short we got married legally thinking I will manage it but her madness intensified.she tears money,destroy phones and other properties in the house.
To scamper for my life I ran away for this lady and when I came back some months to check her,she has packed all my properties and disappeared with my boy.
I kept on looking for the boy but she vowed I will not see him again in my life and her mother is support despite reporting her to mother several times.
I have left everything to God and am optimistic my child will locate me in the future.
@op Delta ladies are very dangerous,she can kill you because your appearance will keep hurting her,so for now leave the child and move on with your life your daughter will come to look for you in the future.

When we started dating I noticed these bad attitudes but was thinking it's something I can manage.
Before we consummated our marriage the following things happened.
1. She angrily came to my house in the night(10pm) to ask for the phone I promised to repair for her in the presence of my parents.they we're pleading with her to calm down rather she started threatening that she was here to fight me.My dad pampered her and she left only for her to call next day and begged me for what happened.
2.she was a divorcee, when we were preparing for marriage the counselor asked if my wife has divorce certificate and I put a call through to ask,she started raining courses on me.later in the day her mother called me and started pleading with me and I forgave her.
3.She complained to me about promotion in her office,and I told her to start her master's so that she can use the certificate to negotiate for promotion,the day she went to write the exam I went with her and on our way back I was telling her about my experience in the school and she flagged okada and took a bike leaving me behind.when I eventually found my way home she started begging and said she didn't know what came over her.
4. I was heading to office one day,and I pecked her but what I got in return was to push me away and I fell down, immediately she started begging as usual thinking I was injured.
5.she said if I want peace to reign in the house,I should be worshipping in her church, I obliged but later I told her I can't abandon my church outrighly she fought me for this and said my church is demonic

My brother divorce is hard to do in Nigeria,As the legal procedure will drain you physically and financially,Rather separation is advisable.

My Advice

1. Stop having sex with her, if she is in the mood just stylishly discharge her.

3. Rent a small apartment(far to your house) where you can be rotating your sleep.

December 22nd,2016 I lost everything ( I mean ,lost 5 jobs,my wife kicked me out of her rented apartment and carted away with my properties(plasma tv,set of chairs,air conditioner, gas cooker and lot more) but in 2017 I got another job and this December 2018 my own house is 80% completed.
