Also in Surah 4 Verse 93; “And whoever kills a believer intentionally, his punishment is Hell; he shall abide in it, and Allah will send His wrath on him and curse him and prepare for him a painful punishment” (Alhaja Kudirat was a believer)

OP pls help me get this straight- what if the victim is not a believer like Kudirat does it make Al Mustapha less guilty? I'm not a muslim so it'll be great if you help me understand it.

i wonder, when u give them the leadership of the country, when their tenure is over they will not vacate, see them see trouble.
ismhab:
These are the kind of people tha wants rule Nigeria, fighting for the sake of leadership, did they really wants to rule nigeria or are they after destroying it.
At least they didnt send bombs to Abuja or Kano because of community disagreement. Besides we have, for the past 50 yrs, seen how the more "democratic and peaceful" people are leading/rulling (born to rule)/leaving(third term)/annulling the best elections(june 12)/stepping aside(IBB)/refusing to accept reults(Buhari - GEJ preisdency).

My dear, dont you think its better to ignore some news sometimes? Seems like the "in thing" now is to join in any thread thats about bashing one group or another. We all have skeletons you know.

When you bury 50000 in two months, lose 2 million in 30 months, given 20 pounds after destruction of all your investments and biz, marginalized and denied a place in the political sphere. When you are humiliated for self determination and derided for ever having the stomach to chart your cause. When you experience madalla bomb and have your people annually roated. When you have your group balkanized and your land given away to other states. When the Govt of the day uses quota and bogus census to edge you out, when you have lived in your own country and used your own currency for 3 yrs. When you have your properties declared abandon and your gpeople recieve the least allocation due to bogus stats. When you, in all honesty, know that your future and fate will be served in a nation founded under a common belief that is rooted in equality, justice, hardwork, religious free Govt, Extremism free state, and peace, Then you'll know why some people want out.

alj harem you said you are now Yoruba - what happened to Kanuri? Nwanne you are very good at nursing discord between southern groups. And Negro the problem you seem to find hard to run away from is online bashing. I'would be a fool to accept Igbos were the first to start ethnic mud slinging, this ethnic bashing has been going on for a long that no one can in all honesty say who started what and when. Anyway, the point is even if I get offended when people insult my group, I have learnt to deal with in a more mature way and I suggest you do that too. You dont have to get in the trenches with other people because you find it tempting. Get in the trenches when people push or physical hurt you, else dont pay them no mind.
I do hope you know you insult Igbo a lot more than most people do.
Sam, I read your post and what you said about Nigeria fighting to brng you back to the fold.  That is wrong!  Nigeria did not consent for you to break out to begin with.  Your action was a rebellion that had to be checked, and checked it was!  You could have won the war. . . .if you had not marched Westward!   Lessons for you going forward.
Negro Nwanne, I take exception to that. All my people didn't have to die for us to know Nigeria was not for us. The moment Nigeria allowed the pogrom in the north to take place was the moment they implicitly told us we were not wanted. Its easy for some people to write educational and wonderful papers on what happened but its different to be the one receiving dead bodies. We received the mutilated bodies so we know how it felt and no one under the sun should educate us on the right or wrong of our decision.

No ethnic group has lost more than 50,000 in two months, have you? To say Biafra went west is to hide the obvious. Nigeria was breathing heavily on our necks and the capital happened to be in the west so you do the math. The west knows we were never their enemies and could never be so why make Igbos the enemy of Yorubas all of a sudden?

No body knows how all this will end thats why I have always canvassed for wisdom and carefulness between our peoples to avoid unnecessary bad blood. Biafra lost so its not unusual to have the history of what happened heavily tilted against them. Anyway, that was then and today is a new day. The truth of what happened is coming out bit by bit and we all know the reason why Nigeria bitterly fought Biafra even if it means having no love between Igbo and Nigeria again. Nigeria won and its still complaining about the people it "captured" aint that a B, ?

Negro, lets just assume Odua people somehow lost 50000 and still counting and Nigeria told you it did not consent to your freedom to be safe in your land how would you take it? Wrong is wrong. What Nigeria did to my people was wrong and for them to even have the stomach to kill more 3 million is unconscionable. People would come here and say Igbos dominated everything and they had to be checked, but guess what? whatever we dominated we dominated not by violence or illegality. Brits hated Igbos just like they hated Yorubas so if we, even though we started western education much later than others, managed to work hard and be up there why should we be killed because of it? Brits handed everything to the north unlike Yorubas and Igbos. The capital was in Lagos making Igboland and other easterners Aaron. The Brits could not stand us, the capital was far from us yet we (easterners) did our best to get education and work menial jobs to be somewhat ok and what we get from it is jealousy and death.

Let it be known that those that dominate Nigeria today never did justly, they are there today because of a war they won and since then have never been able to lead us to greatness. I have no grudge against any region in Nigeria today but I will do whatever I have to do to be on my own. A part once crossed will always be crossed (Okafor Law). Nigeria has killed millions for no reason therefore, its very much easy for it to do it again. I will not wait for my people to be roasted again. People here can stay and talk about oil, subsidy, and GDP, if you ask me I 'll say to hell with all that. I'll rather live in peace and have nothing than to live in a den with everything.

What happened to kicking people you don't like out of your house? I mean think about it - a babe comes to your house and instead of being real shes acting uppity - what do you do - kick her out. The same with a lady - a man comes to your house and hes talking about his usual garbage of how hes God's gift to women - what do you do - Kick the fool out. Kicking out is what humans do so let no one say he loves Igbo so much that he cant kick us out. In fact we walked out and you forced us back in with your international gangsters. Don't you guys think that by now Igbos should not be subjected to Nigerian Laws because they wanted out and were actually led by a different head of state for almost 3 yrs? They used different currency for the same amount of time and yet some of this online people cant see that.

You forced a man back into your house and subject him to your laws and you are complaining about his success and lack there of. You have no shame.

musiwa,,. did you hear yourself? Did Igbo tell you they need your help? Man! Have you finished helping the poor that statistics shows is less in Igboland? You want me to believe you really love so much to help me? If you wanted to help me you should have left me as a Biafran. You dont have to kill 3 million of my people to communicate your love to me so shove it.

You want Odua and I want Biafra or any other name I find ok. We can help ourselves in that area.

I would rather live in a nation with heart and soul and be poor than live in a brutal country that feeds on our blood and the blood of others. I wish Nigeria would define their problem and have it solved, but no. Today they shout our problem is OBJ and GEJ, tomorrow its IBB and BUHARI, the next day its BOKO HARAM and Arewa, another day its IGBO/SS OR YORUBA, ask them again and they will tell you its subsidy. Lets define it and have it solved so we can face normal problems other nations face. If Igbo is the problem like it always is cut it loose bro, if you think its Boko Haram then lets cut it loose also. Moving form pillar to post is pure nonsense. If you say we have nothing and we dont produce anything then why do you still let me suck up all your energy? How about cutting me loose for a quick ans.

One day all these 'll end. I take consolation in the victory that lies ahead thats why i'm not worried by the present. I wish every region luck, happiness and wealth. We've shed enough blood for our cause and there is no going back.
PoliticsRe: What Does The Ss/se Contribute To Nigeria? by SamIkenna: 3:36pm On Feb 04, 2012
Its useless responding to these kinds of threads. What about - we produce nothing, can we then leave? Any Nigerian anywhere that is still sweating, complaining, or crying about Igbo this and that is a fool, you know why? Igbos left this nation with real, substantiated, and documented grievance only to be pulled back in after a 3 year bloody war and you are here asking them what they produce or not produce, why they protest or not protest. I bet you guys would have been happy if we were begging for food with dirty bowls. Why not ask how we survived with 20 pounds after the war, why now ask how we were able to overtake many Nigerians that launched war of genocide in a space of ten years? why not ask how we still live in homes made with bricks and irons? Go and look at after-war pictures and tell me how houses were left standing after your massacres.

How many of you and your families volunteered to go to East to help them erect a pole? Do you think we survived the war with any company left standing? Y'all should be ashamed of yourselves for even comparing us with you. You guys should be on the moon by now or didn't I hear Gowon and his association of ethnic cleansers tell Nigeria that their problem was Ojukwu? After we lost what have you done for yourselves and the nation. Is Nigeria not the scum of the earth now?

If you want to ask why not ask why we are still foot-dragging. You won and I lost, fine. I'm not mad at you all I'm saying is go home and enjoy your victory and when you're done can you freaking lead this nation out of the woods or at least let me go and have my own country! Stop looking at me when anything goes wrong or even ask me what I contribute because you are the one that destroyed my home, my companies, my hospitals, my loved ones with your 20 pounds, Russian MIGs, Brits weapons, Arab mercenaries etc.

Let me put it this way, Any section of this country outside of the old eastern Nigeria that is still punching below Igboland in terms of education and poverty after what was done to Igbos should go and appease the gods.

On a final note, please why don't you do us a favor and remove this "unproductive" Igbos so you can have your paradise nation. Dont give excuses just do it.

My brother, we are morally, politically, geopolitically and historically bound to continue supporting GEJ at least until the end of THIS tenure.
Personally I will start SERIOUS criticism of GEJ from the end of this year. I have concrete things I judge him on, among which is the Enugu International Airport and the Niger bridge. I really don't care much about poltical appointments, afterall we have Ngozi Okonjo Iwealla, Pius Anyim, and the aviation minister lady, yet we have not seen any sign of work at the Niger bridge, or even a serious shot at building a beffiting international airport infrastructure at Enugu.
Soon, I will go back to my earlier beliefs of development instead of appointments.

GEJ has REAL reasons to be afraid of the core North, afterall never forget that he cannot change just because he became Nigeria's president. If you have ball, you have balls, whether you are president or not. If you want to criticize GEJ, look no further than the farm at Ota.
I get all that. The points you mentioned above are in my mind. I only came to a conclusion recently that GEJ is scared of something which worries me. He has Ijaws coupled with Igbo bad asses yet he doesnt want to put his foot down on things that are clearly justifiable.

As for your worries about investment in another man's land - count me out. Abandon property is enough lesson to last for a life time. I have to continue believing that Jonathan means well. The fear is baseless.
GEJ retired Ivy Okoronkwo because of what? to satisfy the north and that doesn't ring a bell to you? GEJ is scared of the core north and that's not right. He should not be scared of any group in Nigeria. Common sense and experience has taught me to be very very careful of men who are scared of their fellow men for no reason. Men who are uncomfortable or scared of their fellow men usually turn out to be serial killers, paedophiles, women beaters, or in house terror. Now which one is GEJ? You see - he is going to be an in-house terror plain and simple. He will become a terror to people of the south because hes scared of dealing with bad apples from the north. Sacking Igbo, SS, or Yoruba just to replace with core north tells me a lot about him. GEJ, up till now hasn't sacked all the generals that deployed the military in the airport during Yaradua saga yet he calls himself a man. I'm ashamed of him. GEJ cant be Ijaw, he acts so cowardly. He is begging Boko Haram to come out and have dinner when OBJ didn't even think twice before sacking Odi. If not for the death of Ironsi GEJ would have made Ironsi to the fourth power. All these years we waited for a short at the presidency - look at what we got, shame shame shame. He wants to be everybody's friend, really? Nigeria is a brutal place and a president should be wise and man enough to kick asses if need be. Dont sack your brothers to please with an implacable foe, its just garbage. Put your foot down! You are man for goodness sakes! I respected GEJ up to a point but right now hes just confused on what to do even as our people are being smoked like salmon in the Indian reservation. I know I will probably support him till the end because of sentiment, that's it - sentiment.

I donk like this online-cut-and-dry display of hate towards a group that has the potentials to be a great ally in this uncertain times. We have to be careful not to push a future friend into the hands of our agressor(s). Onlytruth my brother you are too smart and inteligent to make that comment. Yes you might have some funny feelings working with them because of what one or two have done but thats not to say the whole Yoruba group is guilty. I'm not scared of Ijaws and I dont think there is any need for Igbo or Yoruba to be spooked because of this story. Lets not make Ijaw the boogey man, we know they cant engage in full scale war against major groups in the south, they, just like other groups in Nigeria want to breathe too. Ijaws don't have the number or the capacity to give Nigeria hell, the only thing they have done so far is to cripple some flow stations that are located close to their homeland.

Ok lets assume we were at war with Ijaw nation and they managed to blow some pipelines then what? Its obvious they dont have the capacity to move out of their domain to attack the rest of us, even with some pipelines and flow station in flames we still would have some oil from other fields flowing.

My point exactly is for us to stop designating Ijaw as enemy minority group because you know how it will end - genocide. A politician in the north sometime ago made it clear he would love to have ND wiped out just for oil money. I'm not trying to defend GEJ because I've already lost respect for him, he has shown over and over that he doesn't have balls and, believe me, both Ijaw, Igbo, and to a lesser extend Yoruba might end up paying for GEJ's lack of big balls.

Before I digress more let me say that eventhough the story sounds plausible its still possible some truths are not yet out. Lets exercise some patience until we get all the facts because this is a security issue. Truth in Nigeria is almost nonexistent therefore, lets exercise some restraint before we kill a fly with a sledge hammer.

I will never be unrealistic anylonger on matters relating to Nigeria a country that have not brought anything to the majority of its citizen but pain and more calamities. What's the use, we must disengage if need be, mine is lets eschew violence and needless blood shed while we can at this point through civilised engagement. The sages and elders like Shoyinka and others have also seen the handwriting on the wall and started calling a spade a spade. Many in Nigeria today are giving meaningless lip service to issues, because they are opportunists looking for easy political positions as a way out of poverty. Power must belong to the people to elect and fire those that will represent their interest in a re-engineered Nigeria or disengaged nation. Let the truth be said without emotions or vitriolitic outbust as we're seeing in this postings that in a disengaged Nigeria some so called apathetic group will see the weakling they trully are that they've erstwhile been protected, overrated and fed fat under the umbrella protection of Nigeria, oil or no oil. They will only be domineered by oil thieves like Mujahid Dokubo a muslim that will be unrecognised by those he's busy protecting even his violent coursins Boko haram will not recognise him but will rather treat him like an infidel that he his. Nigerians hate truth and have been in bondage because truth are rather concealed with money than allowed to freely thrive. Half word they say, is only for the wise.

Going by the postings and indeed what has transpired in Nigeria past and present it is logical and palpably clear that the Yorubas are virtually the only sane tribe and reasoning people in the whole of Nigeria. Everything has got level in life. Lugard and his silly empire, has done a great disservice by hooking -the ever progressive and wise yorubas with outright gangs of baboons and uncouth animals, that time and interaction with the civilised yorubas have failed to change. Even when they lived with them in Lagos they still remain uncivilised. To cut a long story short, yorubas must eschew all forms of silly sentiments as revelations are proving that some of these other Nigerian animals does not mean well and are evil. Let it be clear that yorubas although not involved in all this anti-Nigeria things must be ready for the "if it comes to" part of the Nigerian story of today. They must plan thoroughly with progressiuve stake holders like israel and be ready on all front for anything or anybody. A word is only for the wise. Watch out for the Igbos,  the igbo derivatives (deltans) and the hausas in particular these are the cowards and destructive elements within Nigeria.
If that makes you sleep well at night then I wish you luck. Isnt it funny how you're going to get in cahoots with Israel to "deal" with Igbo. You're as guilty as those you accuse of hate and insensitivity, give it up. It feels good to be free of hate, try it bro and you'll forever be glad you did.

Those of them who are Nigerians need our help. The ones I'm concerned with do not go to Ghana or any other West African country. They bring their cattle to Southern Nigeria  from Northern Nigeria to help Southern Nigerians meet their needs for meat.

We must help design a workable mechanism for them and help them with the necessary transition.  This kind of restructuring can only be done by national governments and probably with assistance from the UN and other international organizations.  The killings will continue until we get real leadership from the government.
My brother I dont completely subscribe to your opinion above. This problem is in Nigeria, yes, but it bears similarity with what is happening in our sister nation, Ghana, so we cant completely ignore it and think we can run to UN to get results. I'm not saying we should start killing and maiming cattle herders like they do sometimes in Ghana ok, I'm all for finding the best way to deal with the problem considering that our population growth isn't showing any signs of backing down.

Govt should help them, especially their state govt, but still Fulanis must and should help themselves. There is nothing like not changing your way of life, people learn new things everyday, we are here using computer because we have learned to adapt and manipulate nature for our own good so why cant Fulanis find alternative and best ways to still practice what they love best. You will agree with me that cattle ranching is better than what is currently happening unless Fulanis love to loose their cattles and people too, then I wish them luck.

Another way I look at it is that eventhough souls have been lost already, there is a great economic opening here for any business-minded state Govt in the north to tap into it. What Fulanis have in the areas of catle biz is awesome and no other group in Nigeria comes close and that, my friend, is good advantage. Cattle biz is what I have looked at before and wondered why Fulanis dont want to take it to the next level. They have a natural monopoly yet they dont want to dominate it in a mechanized way. Anyway, sorry for digressing a bit. I think Fulanis have to adapt or there may not be fulanis in Nigeria in future. Mayans didnt adapt and their culture today is history, there is no shame in adapting for survival.

There are so many clandestine killings in the country, so there should be no selective judgement or making anybody a scapegoat.
Nwanne we cant get all the killers in one day can we? If we get one today it means there is one less killer. Anyway, the final solution to all the nonsense going on in Nigeria is for regions or zones to manage their affairs and security, better still their republics.

People know their killers, all this that politicians stay in Abuja and directly or indirectly prosecute the killers of the poor masses is just bull. Are we saying that if Yorubas were getting their orders from Ibadan they wouldn't have found the killers of Bola Ige, Funsho, MKO, and Kudirat? In fact Al Mustapha would probably be sweeping the streets in Odua or Arewa far from Kudirat. Any high political killing would have solved in a jiffy. What about Harry Marshal? Don't you think his murderers would have been found by now?

The problem is Abuja connection, that's why a killer would be in prison for 8 years and still be getting his freak-on because he belongs to a different group or political block that has power. You might even see some idiots come out and defend a murderer because of group or political interest.

We have no business being dictated to from Abuja, its like saying the center is smart but the regions are dumb. If we have regional power centers or our different nations I guarantee you that the number of political asylums from neighboring regions or nations would be eye popping. The killers of the people will no longer have Abuja to run to and be seen on national TVs, rather they will be in other countries asking for amala and ofe egusi with plastic bowls.

Coming back to what you said, the only thing Fulanis can do today is to attack and run away, they cant "mobilize" from all parts of west Africa just to attack a community in ND. How would they do that - arrive in Boeing or Airbus? Finish all ND people and then leave in Airbus again? They would be considered second to God if they can pull that off. Nigeria is an accient and modern nation so its understandable normads are going to be around for awhile and for the most part I think Nigerians accept that. But what they will not accept is to constantly live in fear of being killed for telling a Fulani to take his cattle away from their farms.

The solution to this is for the Govts in the north to take steps in mechanizing this important source of energy. I dont see the reason Govts in the north cant take advantage of the advantage God in his wisdom gave them. Cant you see? no matter how good other Nigerians are they simply cant beat Fulani in cattle biz, so why are their state Govts not cashing into this unique gift. I guess it boils down to the same Nigerian syndrome - Abuja oil money sharing. As long as they get their share then Fulanis and local communities can hack themselves to death.

I would like to have a serious convo about this with a Fulani to get their perspective and what they think is the likely solution.
PoliticsRe: Mujahid Dokubo Asari; Al Mustapha Must Not Die. by SamIkenna: 12:50am On Feb 01, 2012
There is always an end to a beginning. Al Mustapha's sins or righteousness had a beginning and the time for reckoning has come. All too often men have gotten away with so much atrocities in Nigeria whereas the good ones are clubbed to silence. Because of this long history of "sacred cow syndrome" the masses have somewhat lost a sense of what is punishable and what is not, who should be let off the hook and who should be roped tight etc.

I was not privy to Al's actions therefore I don't know the degree to which he was responsible for the murder of Abiola's wife, Mrs Kudirat. However, what I do know is that he, Al Mustapha, and God know the truth. If he feels this judgement is wrong then let him appeal it, but if in his heart he knows he did it, I suggest he man up and take his bullet after all Kudirat didn't get a second chance to appeal for her life.

I appeal to people here to put themselves in Abiola's family shoes before making painful statements. No ones life is more sacred than the other. Those that lost their loved ones during all these "satanic and Stalinic/Hitlic" regimes are still morning them and for any human to trivialize their pain because of political/ethnic expediency is just plain silly.

Like I said, if Al is guilty it would be wise for him to shut up and "patriotically" pay for his sins. We 've already spent more than 8 years wasting time and money on the beneficiaries of regimes that dehumanized us, to spent extra day and Kobo on Abacha's foot-soldiers would be too much for some of us. We need to get Al's News out of the way so we can effectively face more serious problems - Boko Haram, SNC, and confederation/disintegration.

Is it any wonder why Nigeria is jerked up? Look at the kind of people we call Nigerians, may God help us. The OP is even the worst, he starts a thread and he calls the leaders of a group "bastards." Do we really like kitchen fights? Shame shame shame, our women are now the men because quite frankly we make more noise than market women. With all our education yet no decency, no manners, nothing! Nigerian men have become the easiest to decieve and derail, just bring some flimsy garbage - boom! they jump right into it and 4get their main issue. For all their blood-letting and extremism Hausa-Fulani has more class than all of us southerners. I'm ashamed you people are my brothers, if I had my way I'll serve all of you to evil gods. When other nations are probing Mars Nigerian men are busy acting like 12 yr olds. Shame.

Mr cap28 thanks a lot for your contribution, I see you believe in searching for a very effective solution just like most of us. Your approach would have been fantastic if 1966 coup led by Nzeogwu didnt take place, unfortunately it did and it gave us a blody war that took my Nigerian lives. People will always see grass root revolution from ethnic lenses depending on which ethnic group has their man as the president, thats why I have my reservations for that approach. But if you believe in it pls by every means keep hammering it until it draws enough following which will help build a huge capacity for a final showdown with the powers that be. For me I will invest my energy in bringing together the leadership of diverse groups with common interest with a view to forming a strong coalition that will be able to demand the simplest of God's gifts - freedom (if that freedom comes as Odua, Arewa, Biafra, Isoko repub then so be it). By the way, when I say "leadership of diverse groups" I dont mean political crooks in Abuja, those people in Abuja are in bed with The Man so bringing them into any coalition is suicide, they will rat you out and deliver you to the devil.

Onlytruth my brother, I'm not Aguyi Ironsi. ndu_chuks was fair to me so I will be fair to him, in fact even if he wasnt fair to me I'll still be fair to him but that doesn't in anyway mean I'm blind or dumb.
PoliticsRe: Should The World Help Break Up Nigeria In Order To Save It? by SamIkenna: 11:46pm On Jan 28, 2012
ndu_chucks thanks for your response. I can understand why its easy to get misunderstood by friends and foes on the other end, in fact its more reson why dialogue is very essential. When it comes to solutions to our problems I dont pretend to know it all. In fact I'm not sure I have a better solution than most folks but what I do know is that our future isn't bright with the current Nigerian structure. I know you've always been aware of what I wrote above so its no news to you that we are screwed. Believe me, I would want Nigeria to work, I wish it would work, if Nigeria shows any sign of life today I would be the first the person to throw a thanks-giving mass for it. ndu my brother, I understand our leaders are in cahoots with the system but we the youths are not entirely powerless.

We saw what facebook did in Egypt, nairaland and other social media can gradually build up momentum for Yoruba, Igbo, Ijaw and other freedom loving regions to start negotiating. Understand that this is just one of thousands of ideas so any other ideas are very much welcome. I believe in the decency of our peoples so lets 4get all the internet gra gra b/w East and West. Any, and I mean if at all there is any, war between Yoruba and Igbo I can tell you its going to be like a journey from the earth to the stars, no body will live to see it because it aint happening. So my thinking is - since we know we will never war war cant we jaw jaw?

Boko Haram has been added into the already combustive mixture therefore, it will be a great injustice and disservice to our children if we hand over a country where Boko reigns supreme to them. We have to do something even if it means signing a deal with the devil provided that that devil is more benign than what we have now. How can we live in a nation that stretches from Bonny swamp to the semi arid Maiduguri yet we tell the person from Bonny not to cross Plateau or Benue but the person from Maiduguri is free to walk the length and breath of the nation, we might as well tell the Bonny indigene to draw his border in Benue.

I believe we've had enough. Each time we take a little bit of nonsense they tell us its fine, don't worry, adjust, better still stay in your hometown because you know this place and that place is religious hot spot, we keep taking it and the people that give us the little Little nonsense never stop. As soon as we find a way to deal with the new nonsense there comes a newer one.

Nigeria is racing down hill in a breath-taking speed and it will crush many of us if we don't at least put some pressure on our leaders to start talking to eachother. In the event of a sudden break-up many ethnic groups will be shooting at eachother for land and resources, but if we start having some kind of conversation now we will succeed in either stopping Nigeria from going down Hill or, in a worst case scenario, preventing ethnic massacre that will ensue as a result of flash land grabs.

Anyway, ndu_chuks my brother, we all are needed in this critical stage. I understand your Ideas and I like them. Any idea is better than nothing. While it may seem like we all are spending time online talking bla bla bla, the truth is we are narrowing our options and agreeing where it is possible. Lets keep it up, I know some poeple derive joy in insulting others, who knows maybe that's what sees them through this Boko times. However, I urge the bigger and better heads here to start throwing up good ideas on how to get ourselves out of the woods.  No matter how you twist and turn it we really need eachother now more than ever. All the secular and freedom loving regions of Nigeria need to band together in some way and those of us that believe in it will keep pushing for it.
PoliticsRe: Should The World Help Break Up Nigeria In Order To Save It? by SamIkenna:
cap28 and ndu_chucks, its shocking how quick you guys accuse me of being naive and delusional yet a chunk of your posts point in the direction of mine, except of course when ndu_chucks wrote "I maintain that you suffer from a disconnect from the realities on ground and are delusional in your pronouncements. Your idealism is only good for college term papers, sadly. It suffices for now, to point out that the "core North" who you claim is the nucleus of poverty, misery, and carnage in our land could not have carried out the acts of becoming this nucleus successfully, without their co-conspirators in the South. You have dishonestly refused to acknowledge the active participation of these southerners. My question to you is why?"

My response to your quote above is this "since you're fine with scapegoating southerners for the poverty and carnage in the north does it mean I can also blame the core north for OSISIKANKWU? Wow! looks like we have finally found the right people to blame for the gully erosion in the east, ehn before I loose tempo I also want to blame core north for TOKYO in Ibadan (pls dont tell me you dont know Tokyo, The biggest motor park tout that ever existed), gosh! I cant believe I've run out of things to blame the north for." Bull, bull, bull. Your bolded quote is full of baloney.

Mr cap28 you wrote: Sam Ikenna - you sound very naive - nigeria is a creation of western colonialists who are still pulling the strings to date. If the northerners see themselves as born to rule its because they were elevated to that position by britain who falsified the census figures in 1959 in order to ensure that they would always have a majority in the house of representatives and remain at the helm of affairs indefinitely. As you can see that has been very successful as they have been in power for approximately 41 years out of 51 years of our independence. The so called southerners who have been allowed to lead nigeria have never served the interests of their fellow southerners but have instead served the interests of the tiny elite group who have destroyed nigeria.

The question you need to ask yourself is why did britain arm the north against the eastern secession of biafra? if you can answer that question then you will know who really owns and controls nigeria.

when you people talk about splitting the country i just laugh - you cant split the country without the consent of the people who created you in the first place - this is why biafra failed because Ojukwu sought to break out of the neo colonial cage built for nigerians by britain - the only time you can break free is when you become MILITARILY POWERFUL ENOUGH TO DICTATE THE TUNE TO THE PEOPLE WHO STILL HAVE THEIR FEET ON YOUR NECK.

As it stands now the nigerian elite (both northern and southern elitists) are running nigeria on behalf of the same people who created the contraption in the first place.
Therefore you can not expect that you can break out of this bondage without coming into direct confrontation with these people.

If nigeria is to split - it will be at the behest of these same people NOT at the behest of the nigerian people. As you can see the US is agitating for nigeria to split - why do you think that is? is it because they give a damn about the welfare of nigerians within this contraption? if you beleive that then you deserve what they are about to bring to nigeria.

Mr cap28 you know what, I might have as well bolded all your piece because quite frankly you contradicted yourself greatly by writing this piece above and still have the gumption to call me naive. Lets break it down piece by piece.

In your first bolded you stated - If the northerners see themselves as born to rule its because they were elevated to that position by britain who falsified the census figures in 1959 in order to ensure that they would always have a majority in the house of representatives and remain at the helm of affairs indefinitely. As you can see that has been very successful as they have been in power for approximately 41 years out of 51 years of our independence. The so called southerners who have been allowed to lead nigeria have never served the interests of their fellow southerners but have instead served the interests of the tiny elite group who have destroyed nigeria.

And my response to the above is yes sir you are right.

In the second and third bolded you said - when you people talk about splitting the country i just laugh - you cant split the country without the consent of the people who created you in the first place - this is why biafra failed because Ojukwu sought to break out of the neo colonial cage built for nigerians by britain - the only time you can break free is when you become MILITARILY POWERFUL ENOUGH TO DICTATE THE TUNE TO THE PEOPLE WHO STILL HAVE THEIR FEET ON YOUR NECK.

Now this is where we differ. Yes its going to be difficult splitting this nation because of reasons you enumerated above but after 50 yrs of a nation without nationhood am I still indebted to the interest of Britain? If you say yes then I ask you when shall I be free sir? In 100 yrs, 200, when? If you say no, which means I'm free to roll then why cant I look for partners that share my views and form a coalition that will build enough capacity to take down this sinking ship? Is it not what I've been saying all along? I have consistently canvassed for East, West, Middle belt coalition that will bring either SNC, Regionalization, or outright disintegration for the future and peace of our children and one cant be too naive for that.

In your fourth bolded mr cap28 you wrote "As it stands now the nigerian elite (both northern and southern elitists) are running nigeria on behalf of the same people who created the contraption in the first place.
Therefore you can not expect that you can break out of this bondage without coming into direct confrontation with these people."

I respond to the quote above by asking you - what should we do? Should we sit down and wait until the "creators of this bondage" give us a-go-ahead before we commence? Do you mean a slave should not fight but remain a slave until the MASSA says YOU GO BOY! Hey pal, I'm not that kind of slave. I'm the type that gives the MASSA hell until he either kills me or I screw him upside down. You have me as your slave you better be ready because I will never slumber on my plot to have your farm burnt down and all other slaves escape. Nigeria has all of us as slaves in a nation thats suppose to be our country therefore its up to us to find ways to end it. If you think involving all your kins men in the fight is the way out, if you think involving US is better or maybe getting support from Isreal, if you belief forming coaling both online and offline is ideal, if you subscribe to SNC, Biafra, Odua, ND repbulic, Arewa, whatever you belive that will bring peace and secure future to our children, I say to you what Dr M. Luther King said to his people - if you can walk, walk; if you can run, run; but by all means keep moving.

In conclusion I'll say this, its obvious many of us believe this nation is jerked up big time. We are many hence numerous opinions. Lets not demonize or insult eachother because our opinion differs on how to solve our problem. If you find anything insulting to your person in my above piece pls do notify me. cap28 and ndu_chuks we all can agree to disagree and its very reassuring that we all share the view that Nigerians need to have peace and secure future. We all know too well that that peace and future will keep eluding us so long as we keep doing the same thing we've doing for the last 50 yrs. You need a break and so do I, if this break comes in the form of Arewa, Ekiti republic, Isoko republic, Ogoni repub then so be it. Its true there are good stuff that come from being a big nation but what good is that to those murdered in Madalla blast, Berom-Fulani clash, recent Kano mayhem- tell me what good is that to them. Dont you think they would have prefered Ogoni republic to instant roasting they got on Christmas day? Lets not be passive guys, folks are dying horrible deaths in Nigeria simply because we are not one. If we were really one I wouldnt have my people roast other people in the name of Ohaneze, Afenifere, or Egbesu just as I wouldnt have my people sent home smelling like roasted chicken.

Time for blame game is over, we need smart heads from all parts of Lower Nigeria (SW,SE,SS,MB) to dialogue on equal footing. Lets find a lasting solution to this 50 yr disease. When we finally let the core north have its country then we can decide what to do with ours. Yoruba dsliking Igbo or Igbo disliking Yoruba is not enough to keep our children in this hell-bound nation. Even the bible says - can two work together if they are not in agreement? Good! at least we in agreement. We agree Nigeria is heavy on our necks and we need a break so why not work together, when we get our result we can then say bye to eachother.
PoliticsRe: Mass For Dim Ojukwu Recorded Live @ Westminster Cathedral London by SamIkenna: 4:27am On Jan 28, 2012
alj harem, believe me I can smell a very bad person from a mile. You are not that bad rather your desire for Nigeria is ungodly lopsided in favor of core north. You want us to be one happy Nigeria where the core north retains the main keys to power. You really want one big happy nation. However, what you didnt factor into your fantasy of One happy Nigeria is that some people are paying more than others in this Nation for too long and they are tired. Twisting it as Igbo vs Yoruba isn't gonna cut it because 50 yrs of exploitation and degradation has taken a toll on us. The core north enjoyed many yrs of free access to power which unfortunately made many of you to think we were beneath you. Your people developed huge political ego and unnecessary sense of entitlement thinking it would last forever.

The worst of it all was that as your people were controlling almost all Govt machineries, inflating census, and conering southern resources it didn't occur to them that their people needed to take education seriously. Today they are asking FG to help pay for their street children education. Don't you think its unfair to especially South East? A region that lost everything yet never came to FG for special help in sending their kids to school. I hope you don't think I want all those almajiris not to be educated, I really do but the issue is for how long shall we keep waiting for core north to buckle up. Things other people see and make the right choice we literally have to beg the core north to accept - be it education, polio, sharia, terrorism etc.

You, alj harem, need to reflect on why the rest of Nigeria is tired of Core North. Joining Yoruba to attack Igbo or Igbo to attack Yoruba will get no body anywhere because when the chips are down Yoruba knows who killed that Yoruba female teacher ( and she happens to be a nursing mother) and Igbo knows who Killed Gideon Akaluka. We all know who killed our corppers, we know who bombed the Catholic church in Madalla, and we know who bombed Kano recently. You need to face your issues and accept responsibility rather than creating division between Yoruba and Igbo. Let me conclude by saying this, for all the gra gra you see from idiotic Igbos and Yorubas we will never shoot at eachother; now take it to the bank and cash it 'cuase it aint bouncing.

NB: I dont endorse any form of hate between Igbo and Yoruba, its not in my character and I would never enjoying talking to any Igbo that has such hate for his fellow man. I dont know if you noticed, there is a report here in the US that shows some correlation between low IQ and prejudice. Haters are under-achievers pure and simple.
