Winners of the 2021 BSTAN House Fair and beauty pageant have expressed dissatisfaction over the inability of the company to offset winning prizes as duly agreed, accusing the organisation of defrauding them as well as exhibiting insincerity and lack of trust.

The pageant was tagged, "Face of National House Fair".

Several attempts to retrieve the winning prizes from the organisation and its Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Becky Olubukola have been unsuccessful.

Narrating her ordeal to our correspondent in Abuja, the winner of the contest pageant, Mary Obadofin said before the commencement of the pageant, all the contestants were meant to market BSTAN's ticket which was about 60 per cent of their total marks while behaviour and other criteria carry 40 marks.

According to her, each bundle of ticket contained 50 pieces and goes for N10,000 which makes a bundle of ticket to cost N500,000.

She said, "I sold the first bundle of ticket and went on with the second one. I sold about N580,000. It's now time to give us our prizes, since last year we haven't seen anything.

"October 9 will make it a year, and we have got nothing. The star prize for the winner was suppose to be a car, a plot of land and N500,000. That is what I am to get as the winner.

"The first runner up is supposed to win N500,000 and a job opportunity and the second runner up, N250,000 and a job opportunity. They haven't given us anything.

"We actually went to the company a couple of times, they kept giving us stories upon stories, next time we went again, they were like the company was not involved with the whole pageant" she said.

According to her, the pageant and housing show which took place at International Conference Centre Abuja had her family members who were full of excitement, top dignitaries including star actress Tonto Dike, Ooni of Ife, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi (Ọjájá II) and many more.

She expressed shock that the organisation is exonerating itself from a Pageant it organised, saying the refusal of the organisation to pay the winners their prizes amount to fraud.

According to Queen Obadofin, despite not offsetting the prizes for winners in the last year's edition, BSTAN House Fair has gone ahead to plan the 2022 edition in October to scam people again.

She said she has spent more than the prize money she won, calling on Nigerians to assist her retrieve her prize.

Hello everyone, I am 34 years old and I am here to get honest advice from experienced people.

My story will be short and precise.

I met a girl in April, 2022 (this year), she already had 3 kids, TWO for a man and ONE for a man another man.

Before I met this girl, I have what I need at least, i can rent a house, buy my basic needs and even have savings.

But since i met her, i was turned down in all the places where i was promised Good jobs and contracts.

When we went to make consultation, we were told she belongs to water spirit that she refused to give sacrifices or relate well with her fellow water mates, that the more she didn't do the right things for them, my own Life Will be affected too.

She is pregnant for me right now and I have not had any child before.

My question is this, is there anyone here who has had similar experience?

We were told to appease her water mates, that afterwards, things will change for good.

And i have also heard from several people that most times after doing all the sacrifices, things might not change much for the man.

And all these sacrifices cost money!!!

WHAT CAN I DO?

My wife's cousin is a student in a federal government institution, a monotechnic. I've always noted that the guy is naughty. Recently my wife told me the guy is having issues in his school because he approached his supervisor, a single female lecturer for a relationship. The lecturer warned him to perish the thought but this guy persisted.

Now the female lecturer has refused to continue with supervision of his project and wrote to her head of department to assign him to another supervisor. He just started afresh with a new supervisor while his colleagues have defended their projects two weeks ago.

He called my wife this evening to tell her that final results of his colleagues have been uploaded into the institutions portal while his name was placed under "non-graduating".

I have some questions here.

1. Did this guy commit any offense by "toasting" his female lecturer?

2. Is it right for the department to have denied him opportunity to graduate because of this?

3. Can he complain to the authority of the institution about this? What will he say he did to have been denied opportunity to graduate?

4. Has the department committed any offence against this boy as touching his fundamental human rights?

5. Can he seek legal redress?

I may be catching cruise, but fair and square unless a properly audited result of the election is brought out I have no reason to believe that he lost. The videos and pictures of young children voting in 2015 in Adamawa and some nomadic states are still there for everyone to see.

Good evening Nairalanders, a friend of mine came to me for an advise.

My friend is in his late 30s, he has been in a relationship with his woman, they have been together for a period of 8 years, and they have 2 kids together.

This my friend has a younger brother, the younger brother told him that they should go and collect traditional marriage list from his woman family, so that traditional marriage can take place by December.

My friend worry is that, one, he is not financially capable to do traditional marriage rite as of now and secondly, he doesn't have a good paying job now.

Another of his worry is that, he feels it shameful for his younger brother to sponsor his wedding, he is afraid won't he be insulted in the future by people, that he can't not pay his wife bride price, that it was somebody that married his wife for him. His brother told him not to worry about the financial responsibilities, that God will take control.

My advice for him was that he should tell his brother to give him the money to go start
a business, maybe when the business balances, he can go and do the marriage rite. But his brother told him that the lady has tired for waiting for 8 years, that they should do the traditional marriage first, every other thing shall fall in place. This his brother has been supportive to him.

Good day nairalanders,

I have lived in Germany for 3 years now i have a 1 years old daughter and I also have a 8 years old daughter who lives with my elder sister in nigeria.

She is married with three kids , I provide everything for them and I pay one of her child school fee but my sister is never satisfied with the money she keep demanding me for more money.

She knows it very well that I am not stable yet in this country , life is hard just because she is taking care of my daughter and she want me to carry the responsibility of her three children.

I make sure that I send a big parcel for all of them once a year as I am typing the parcel is on the way but she want me to pay school fees for all her children too and I can't afford to pay for all four.

I am paying her son school fees is 87k per term and my daughter own is 67k . On the 2nd I sent her 300k for school fees and foodstuffs she called on monday demanding me for 154k for her son and my daughter school fee I asked her what about the money I sent on the 2nd she said she bought foodstuffs for 120k and use the 180k for her two oldest children school fee and she want me to send the 154k for the youngest 2 , I was angry with her and I cut the call.

I am angry my own sister is draining me financially and I have a lot of bills to pay too and a small child to cater for.

I have spoken to my friend she is happy to take care of my daughter for me until I am stable enough to bring her to Germany. I like the idea because my sister is not helping me to progress.

I hope my daughter living with my friend will be a good idea.

I haven't told my sister anything yet because we are not in good term but I want to hear from you first please let me know if I should allow my friend to take care of her or I should leave her with my elder sister.
