What would it take to jail one of these clowns. EFCC should come up with concrete evidence na . Are they saying all these thieves are too smart for them? That they covered their tracks too well?? 100 days almost gone and we are still alleging and paneling. If you have concrete evidence charge the baggar to court!!. All these panels just slows down the process and create an avenue for the accused to get away on a technicality. I would have thought by now a few junior thieves would have been offered plea bargains or lighter sentences in exchange for squealing on the bigger boys in the racket. |
Body Language again!!!!!! Hope PMB 's media people don't end up as useless as GEJ'S. Sometimes it's advisable to say nothing than all the fairy tales they have been spewing in recent weeks. For change to commence we need action. This is not the time for psychoanalysis oga mi please you guys should start working. Please sort out the economy cause no investor or foreign business man is taking Nigeria or its people seriously at the moment and it's killing relationships and trust that would take years to mend. |
This is a revelation, if she didn't cheat on you, you would not have known you had the power to resuscitate a knife. OP quickly go and open a church pronto. U go hammer die!!! |
In the fullness of time. In the long run. These are infinite statements that shouldn't be used by progressive leaders. It's better not to talk about an issue than to spin us a yarn. My take is very simple. Buhari knows northerners that are loyal and incorruptible based on his association with these Northerners over the years. During the years after he was deposed as Head of State Buhari only associated mostly with northerners even while he was in ANPP and CPC. we should not be surprised that he has chosen northerners as members of his kitchen cabinet because these are the people he knows or where suggested to him by incorruptible people he knows. Also the unholy marriage between AC and CPC was purported by the most corrupt southerners in our recent history so if the southern faces clamouring for positions are inept or corrupt then we southerners should not blame PMB for choosing mostly Northerners . however I think hierarchy should be considered in our civil service regardless of state of Origin and the ministerial position should reflect the Federal character, but PMB's kitchen cabinet i.e SFG and CO should be his close and trusted allies which fortunately or unfortunately are Northerners. |
Hamid Ali should have been made head of EFCC but I can understand why he was chosen to head customs. The man will sanitize customs the fact that he is from the North is a mute point at this present time. I am only interested in his stewardship not what state he comes from. He is Nigerian and capable, that's what matters |
Bobs !!! Breeze don blow .... |
Utter Rubbish!!!! How does that improve the quality of Education in public school. The teachers need proper training and the government needs to pump funds into the construction and maintenance of public school as well as improve the curriculum to meet the standard of the western world. Na wa o. The rate at which people are ordering and issuing directives and ultimatums you would think we run a socialist or dictatorial government |
Most be a slow news day at the SR office Did SR really expect this Boko Manwoman to say Yes you got me I am a Boko Haramist ![]() another tasteless write up by a biased online news agency. We really don't care if it was a rouse to postpone the elections all we know is Boko Haram saw hell in those 6 weeks and since then the bastards haven't been the same. Please SR should give us current news updates on probing, Fasholaweb or is it Fasholabore, the lack of ministers, the catastrophic imploding of our economy and the recent spate of suicide bombings instead of all this rubbish none issue. SR no get shame ....flogging a dead horse. |
OP!!! small small na ...these cars are official cars parked in a car pool. was Yaguda using these cars without number plates ? although I don't condone the level of waste perpetrated by Yaguda let us please stop distorting the truth to suit our own individual interest. Please lets try and detest from sensational journalism. |
Jolly good show by PMB. We need transparency in these contracts. But we should prepare for a battle in courts with these companies that won the previous contracts cause they won't seat down and just accept this without a fight. |
This story get as e bi o ...I don't trust the Indians let's hear the other side before we conclude. Cause we all know how Deziani and co loved doing deals so I dont see any reason why she would have not jumped at the opportunity to make more money unless the deal no favour am and or Nigeria as a whole. Indian deals are always to their maximum benefit. |
Another misplaced priority. sometimes I wonder if our leaders learn from their mistakes. All the hilux's and cars that have been brought for the police in previous years please where dem there? It's better to provide a state of the art maintenance depot for these cars. Also police vehicles should be custom built to suit the terrain and use. A hilux is a sitting duck in a road chase or ambush. |
clearly the young man is not well. Skibii has been suffering from black outs for a while now. Soso who was clearly aware of this did not behave professionally when he was contacted by Linda Ikeji. He should have confirmed from Skibii's family and the hospital attending to him before confirming and posting candles on his IG. |
Nigerians don't like petty thieves, how can you be stealing goats when you can steal billions. You say you wan be tief, you go tief goat!!! ..Come here make I break your head.... no bi your mates dey tief Billions!!!!!! |
Oshobobo keeps asking questions and keeps getting schooled !!!!. He keeps showing his total lack of understanding of economic policies by releasing statements without any proper substance or documentation to substantiate his claim. He is becoming a beer parlour dem say dem say politician. Bros please bring facts or channel your facts to EFCC. He is making the fight against corruption look mediocre PS tell us what you have achieved so far in Agricultural sector in Edo State |
If there is any ounce of fear of God in our leaders NASS basic salary + allowance should only be 20% more than a permanent secretary in FG. Newspaper allowance should be scrapped. there should be a budget that covers information dissemination for NASS as a whole. if you feel compelled to read the newspaper buy your own or browse the internet on your own data or data provided by the NASS intranet !!!!!. Representing your constituency is a sacrifice not a means for relaxation, sober reflecting and big manisims. The number of aides a senator requires to assist in carrying our his or her duties is ridiculous. These aides should be paid partly from the pocket of the Senators and Reps and also their political party. Constituency allocations should not be handed directly to the Senators but should be allocated thru an independent body that issues out the allocations based on the needs of the Senators and reps, this body will also publish how the allocations have been spent and bills sponsors by each senator or rep on the internet and local dailies on a quarterly basis. That way we will all know who is there for the betterment of our Great Nation and who is there for a jolly. it will also stop the rouges from looking at politics as a means to enrich themselves and encourage those of us who are solely interested in serving the people. wishful thinking. The foundation of our politics is so rotten. |
Please read the post carefully and comprehend. US are sending military vehicles. There is no where in the post where it said US was sending arms. Wake me up when they decide to sell weapons to us. |
APC seems to be a better opposition to APC than PDP. APC has taken opposition to a different level. PDP is still learning. |
Nothing confusing about the policy ...they want to be spoon fed and want us to feel their importance. These guys need to do their own research abeg. The CBN Governor has more pressing issues than to be a kindergarten teacher for these economic toddlers. The policy may seem harsh but until there are other ways to help curb the fall of the Naira we just need to bear with it in the interim. CBN however needs to release an idiots guide for this policy cause some banks seem not fully understand how to utilize this policy. The government needs to issue a state of emergency on our economy and stop trying to cover sh1t with icing sugar. They should come out and confirm what we all know. |
NASS is a joke!!!! Although recess doesn't necessarily mean a holiday or vacation, I can bet my last kobo that these set of rogues will be on a jolly for the next 6 weeks whilst the economy of Nigeria continues its downward spiral to oblivion. Please in 2019 let us make NASS our number one priority. Let's use our votes to only vote credible individuals and forget about voting along party lines. I am so piss3d !!!!!! These guys really think we are all buffoons. |
Its seems someone in the presidency follows nairaland because this was a suggestion that was mentioned in an earlier thread. They should also involve our engineering experts, engineering faculties and Nigerians who have experience in weapons manufacturing abroad. If the BH boys can manufacture IED imagine what our own engineers would be capable of doing. That's is how countries like India, South Africa and co became exporters of weaponry. Also its another way for us to generate revenue if we can sell any surplus weaponry to other countries. The solution to getting us out of the financial mess we are in is to be self reliant, work with what we have and 'STOP' begging the west!!!! especially when you have nothing to offer!!!!! |
hamzeiy:Please enlighten me... I don't know how fast track works. who is going to pay for it? UN or the Nigerian Government? Is there a fund for this somewhere? |
Kudos Again to PMB ... my only reservation is if this has to pass through the house of assembly... I hope there if a law or bill somewhere that PMB can use to bypass these rouges on this particular issue cause they are slower than slow motion when it comes to things wey no fit line their pockets. |
A consigliere can never be the head of a family unless the family is in transition or on its way down. I guess the New GMD will be some sort of reciever who will maximise the value of NNPC by restructuring and eventually spilting it as well as selling off or closing down unprofitable and moribund divisions. He will then be replaced by operations oreinted people who will run the day to day affairs of the split NNPC. If that is PMB's plan for Kachikwu, than kudos to him. No better person to finally put the nail in NNPC's coffin than Kachikwu but if he is there to continue to run NNPC then we all are on a very long thing!. |
Would love to hear APC's point based retort. No name calling.... just facts and figures. PDP seems to be warming up to life as the opposition. Thier job is to keep APC on their toes and it seems they are getting it right all thanks to the fact that no one really knows what is going on at the executive level causing statements to be released, only to have them countered 24 hrs later. APC's job is to govern but they still havent hit the gorund running albeit the mess left by PDP would be a herculian task for any well meaning Nigerian to overcome in just 2 months. Lai Mohammed & Buhari media advisers need to come up with something more positive and not keep dwelling on issues of the last 16 years. What happened to the mainfesto? has the APC started implementing it? Please dont wait till september to appoint ministers, appoint people, lets get started, if they are found wanting you remove them and prosecute them!! Nigerians need to start feeling the change . lets start implementing the policies stated within the manifesto. The search for the perfect candidate may turn around and bite Buhari in the @ss cause these so called squeaky cleaning people may eventually turn out utterly useless and probably detrimental to the growth of our economy. |
That's a solar panel right there. Sometimes I wonder if these boko boys really consider western education as haram. They are the greatest hypocrites ever!!!!! They use cell phones, solar panels, laptops etc, have their mumu followers ever thought about how these things were made and who made them? If it's a sin to mix with infidels, should it not also be a sin to use infidel inventions?? These boko boys are all psychopaths, they are not fighting for any cause. The NA should smoke all of them out of their holes and massacre all of them... forget about amnesty international and America , they have both said and done their worst. This is a Nigerian issue that can only be solved the Nigerian way, which is to bomb the hell out of them then probably reabilitate those that eventually surrender after cooling off in a remote jail for minimum 20 years. Pump billions into the infrastructural development and education of the region so next time one mumu madman comes to tell them bollocks they would not hesitate to escort him to the nearest working transformer for a hugging session. |
These days when a statement comes out from the government, I wait for 24 hrs for a rebuttal from the same government !!!!! Guys get it together, this is becoming the order of the day and it makes the Buhari Government look like a bunch of amateurs. Seems they are playing the part of opposition and government at the same time. PDP don't even have to say anything these days. APC is playing the part of opposition them. It's better not to talk at all than to make statements then have to make another statement to counter not clarify the statement that was very clear to begin with. This makes the government look like they haven't got a clue and it really disheartening cause we all have been praying that this government would bring the change we all are clamoring following the abysmal run of PDP. With the way things are going , the confidence in their ability to succeed is beginning to wane. |
Here is my own gripe, all this stuff about going cap in hand to beg America for weapons is really embarassing. If BH can manufacture bombs and IED's , what are our own military engineers and war college graduates doing? Please tell me does Nigeria have a proper weapons research facility? What we need is proper training of our own engineers so we can be able to manufacture our own. I expected Buhari and co to be searching the globe for professors and teachers in weapon manufacturing to come and run our own facility. It would cost less if we manufactured our own. There are people out there with weapon designs waiting for countries or weapons manufacturing companies to poach them. That's how you become a military might not by running around looking for who will sell you bullet and shakabula. If you don't believe me ask India, Pakistan and South Africa. |
Am afraid nothing will come out of this. It's just a save face ploy to make Americans believe that Nigeria intends to do something about it prior to Buhari ' s visit to the States. After the visit, the case will be frustrated and nothing will come out of it. In as much as I want all corrupt individuals to be brought to book, the reality of this happening is rather slim because the current power brokers In Nigeria have at one time or the other all been invovled directly or indirectly in corrupt practices. If Buhari wants to succeed moving Nigeria forward, he should draw a line in the sand and prosecute any corrupt practices from May 29 2015 onward. This will give his team the much needed time and resource to focus on the 2 most important issues threatening to ruin Nigeria.....Security and the Economy. |
A scoopful of flesh Smelt a rat of something fishy![]() It's not compulsory to use metaphors in your write ups especially when they are used incorrectly. It makes reading very tedious. Was this written by a journalist?? Who edited it before it was published !!! Gosh!!! |
Just do it abeg. Start by making sure all the vehicles used by the executive, legislative, judiciary, federal and state government henceforth are manufactured or assembled in Nigeria vehicles. Only vehicles that cannot be made or assembled in nigeria eg fire engine or ambulance should be sourced abroad. Materials used to sew our armed forces and police uniforms should be locally made textiles.increase the duties on imported textiles Put a ban in the importation of furniture . Increase import duty on products that are that imported into Nigeria which have a Nigerian alternative Start a massive campaign to educate our people to buy Nigerian . Reduce our dependence on the dollar. Upgrade our technical colleges and task our professors and students to come up with ideas and machinery that suit Nigeria There are a lot more but these are just quick wins that require little effort . All the requirements are in place all that is needed is a policy to execute |
