Nija pastors are concerned about taking from you and not giving.

It's sad that Pastor Adeboye's comments about the Internet show how uninformed he is . This is the same internet his messages are streamed off. His world veiw is so messed up. You can see why he and his organisation are so ineffective in Nigeria. He's begun to believe his own hype and that's bad.

I would love Mr Momodu to adress the real issue instead of scampering for the moral high ground, his reply just makes me sick!!! He's obviously advancing however subtely the agenda of his patrons, the big men and big women of our society.

You cannot give into despair, there're a lot of good people out there, your time will come.

COKE WITH MEALS BETTER TOGETHER : We should not expose our children and people to this very dangerous messeage. The health costs of consuming a coke a day are great, Diabeties, Obesity, etc NAFDAC, should check the advertiorials of these multinationals,whose main concerns remains the bottom line at the expense of the health of those addictied to their toxins.

Pastor Sam (Guy Smiely) Adeyemi should please shut his fucking mouth up, I don't believe this guy He's not marching to protest the non performance of the government, or the plight of millions of jobless Nigerian youths, or in support of prodemocracy elements in Nigeria actively fighting to control the excesses of our failed govenment,or even of the electoral reform and the freeedom of information bill. This properity love-vendor is complaining because his bottom line is affected. The truth is Pastor Sam does not need to spend 56million Naira a month on power, and his previous expenditure have only futher filled his coffers with eager mone, as his air conditioned church is all the more attractive. If he want to march there're causes aplenty more deserving of a march, which will benefit the majority and not just adress the sectorial interests of a priviledged few. Even if Lagos is given the green light, majority of Lagosians will not be able to afford it without some form of subsidy. I find this a pathetic attempt to get in good with the powers that be in Alausa, tax and all (it;s an open secret the Pastor Sam was rooting for a certain Jimmy) The gospel of Jesus Christ is not about motivational speaking and feel good messages, it got Jesus killed. Guess that's why Guy Smiley' having none of it.

I do not understand what qualifies Mr Adeboye as a living legend.This vote is eveidence that there's something fundamentally wrong with the Nigerian value system. How can Adeboye win this poll? Can anybody objectively tell me what this man has contributed to society, besides vigourously expanding his religious empire? and who are the real beneficiaries of God's "miraculous visitation"?

Where are his prodemocracy and developmental credentials? This man has patronised and identified with the oppressors of the people and HAS NOT SPOKEN OUT AGAINST THERE'RE MISDEEDS PUBLICLY like the prophets of old, rather he wines and dines with them and curries their patronage and favour with his very vague prophecies WHICH NEVER COME TO PASS. IT'S A SCANDAL THAT EVEN THE SCHOOLS HIS CHURCH OWNS ARE BEYOND THE REACH OF OVER 90% OF HIS CHURCH MEMBERS (He needs to take a leaf from the misssionaries of long ago)

The ugly truth is Adeboye is nothiing but a very clever con, a religious capitalist and an accomplished politician, a true wolf in sheeps clothing, For get the hype this dude is bad news and no legend to me, I DUFF MY HAT TO kANU NWANKWO, for the wonderful memories he's given us and his very commendable charity (Heart Foundation) that's a real hero!!!

I don't have to be a busy body or jobless to post a Pastor Chris thread. That's price he pay's for beign a celebrity and a direct result of how he carrys himself. People need something to talk about and when you're all up out there you get picked on. He should deal with it and you(fyneguy) and the like should stop showing your assessssss

The truth is Penticostal christianity is a aman made invention and has nothing to do with Jesus Christ. Besides that on Penticostal christianity (especially in Nigeria) is nothing but glorified mamon worship. Today I watched a lot of Nigeria pastors preach on television and I concluded they were all saying the same thing. They all advanced a MESSAGE WHICH MAKE US SEE JESUS FROM THE PERSPECTIVE OF WHAT HE CAN DO FOR US? They capitalised on our collective social deformities and touted Jesus as a way out . To me the spectacle was despicable and confirms the lack of power. Guess that's why the more noise they make about Jesus the more sinful the society becomes . Their various organisations seem to be the greatest beneficiaries of the Jesus love-vendor. In effect they are making a carrer of our misery and not really proferring any tangible solutions, only a vague hope od better times once we sign up to the Jesus band wagon.

My brother the issue is not the jet, the issue is the big picture. THE SIMPLE TRUTH IS the RCCG under the leadership of Adeboye did not deem it fit to state the facts of the case from the onset, they desreve what ever back lash and bad press they are getting. Theie explanation is so full of holes which will be abd have been torn apart in the court of public opinion. Theie argument has no legs and they're just doing damage control. Until they begin again to stand up and be counted in the march for a more harmonous society they will be seen as collaborators and history will judge them harshly

According to it's articles of association the RCCG is a charitable organisation and in order to maintain it's tax exempt status it oblige to open it's book for scrutiny at such a time as the regulatory authorities deem appeopriate. These laws ofcourse are never implemented in Nigeria and are flagrantly violated that's why in Nigeria the founders of most churches and other charitable organisation seem to be the greatest beneficiaries of their own benenolence. However the church should be seen to be above board in all it'S dealings regardless.( I think that's the point BIINA'S trying to make)

The interaction of Jesus with controversial characters as you so rightly pointed out, was only always on the premises that they repent and change their ways. Jesus even encouraged them to make restitition in some cases. I too do not know the intimate details of Adeboyes relationship with OBJ, however I was taught as a child the influence of evil company on good morals (and without mincing words I can tell you that OBJ is EVIL). Show me your friends and I'll tell you who you are. Open rebuke is better than secret love, surely Adeboye must know this. I think more of OBJ has rubbed of on Adeboye suddenly he now has a thirst and craving for the finer things of life, don't buy their crap Adeboye loves the good life, it's sad because he was not always like this.

When you have a so called christian organisation charging usery for services it can afford to give free and when you compare that to the selfness of earlier missionaries who brought this religion to this part of the world often at great personal cost, it's easy to see that genuine empathy has been thrown out the window and repaced with merciless capitalism all in the name of ans to the glory of God.

Let's get one thing clear.If this tale checks out,it still does not change the fact that  Adeboye is just another compromised preacher, who milks the poor sheep for the benefit of his belly. I don't see any schools, hospitals and skill aquisition centers his miraculous organisation has bequitted to humanity all I see is a the RCCG capitalist machinery rooling on.

From what I read it seems like their main reason for purchasing this jet was for business and not for the glory of God and the viability of this project is at best very shaky  and no reasonable bank will give money for such a suspect business venture , especially in these very troubling times.

I personally do not belive this tale, I think the RCCG IS JUST PLAYING GAMES, otherwise it should have communicated this atleast to it's members, if not the general public i the first place.
