See somebody that his comedy only appeals to a certain tribe. If given a government appointment now his views will change over night. Oga with all due respect your part of the problem, you trivialized your content online only promote Yoruba content creators your shiiit bro
Some of you people are pathetic with tribalism in everything that should be objective. I watch his skits and I don't understand Yoruba. What's wrong if he promotes his language and people with his art?
And oh, he has had mama G and other people as guests on his video. If I was a creative I would feature as many of my people as are qualified. Get a life before dropping pointless criticism.

He has a point which I can't deny but hope it's only his skits that's fetching him all the money and luxurious lifestyle and not some shady things most comedians and skit makers do behind closed doors. I hope this is not a case of pot calling kettle black.
Park well abeg. He has over 800k subscribers on YouTube and frequently gets over 100k views per video. With that kind of subscriber base, he shouldn't be making less than $10k-$20k a month from YouTube Adsense alone.

You are the one on drugs. Did you know anything about diplomatic relationship? I guess you didnt, why did Russia decided a Military action against Ukraine undecided Dont you know that Nigeria folding it arms watching military Junta take over Niger is a threat to our national security and economy. The Junta will bcm ally with terorist groups for illegal arms deal across the Nigerian border bcs when they run out of resources due to international sanctions they would have no option than to bow to illegal arms deals. FYI instability in Niger will increase terorism most Nigeriens will have no option than to migrate illegally in numbers to Nigeria for survival by engaging in Kidnaping, theft and the likes. Bitterness is a mental diseases, kindly check yourself in the nearest psych center
If you weren't dumb you'd understand this is not the first coup in Africa. Do you have family members in the army you're willing to sacrifice on the alter of brute force? Hole you'll join the army to fight?
If you weren't shortsighted you'd realise that if you destabilise your neighbour terrorists and several rebel groups will take hold?
Do you understand that some of our security issues was because Libya was destabilised and several armed groups sprung up? Arms have been leaking from Libya to West African countries ever since.
You should get yourself checked if you're supporting war mongering like we are America.

The only ppl praying that Nigeria Army should fall against Niger are the black Jews Judas from Alaigbo, FYI God is with PBAT, despite their hatred, PMB failure, sabotage from Emefiele e.t.c PBAT worn. In short, PBAT has always won and by the grace of God PBAT is winning this. And for the black Jews with an unpatriotic mindset, none of you will enter Aso-rock bcs Aso-rock is strictly only for the lovers of Nigeria's prosperity. Those who want Jerusalem to prosper will prosper grin
I think some of you guys take drugs before making comments. You want to become America that claims to the champion of democracy by invading your neighbour when you have several internal security issues?

Old men love this car. Like an asset, they always refuse to sell it. One of my neighbours has the car sitting on bricks, another gave his son some excess stock while an uncle has refused to sell his off while acquiring newer models. I have no idea when the vehicle became a symbol of status.
Landcruisers are some of the most durable SUVs, so they're pretty popular with some sections.
A Range Rover for example is super nice but not nearly as rugged.

When I was in secondary school, I once participated in a debate where I supported the motion that Democracy is better than military regime.

But now, I realised the rubbish I supported.

The "bad" military regime in Nigeria built 4 solid refineries. The Democracy people ran them to comatose, they can't built a refinery, they won't allow modular refinery as it will interfere with their corruption, n they still have the nerves to clamp down on d alleged "illegal refineries" in d creeks.

I will pick military all day. Try nonsense with Niger, una go hear am. People that can't tame a pack of bandits in the bush want to enter a war with a full grown country grin
The pack of bandits you're talking about is literally thousands of well armed fighters in large forests and expanse of land in several northern states. You people should have learned from the US army in Afghanistan that winning what is essentially a guerrilla warfare is not as easy as it sounds.
Be it a democracy or a military regime the economic dynamics right now are different than 30-50+ years ago.
Asides the political turbulence every time there was another coup, which my mom had to endure, a military administration in these times will likely draw a lot of sanctions and even further stall progress.

For the sanity of our nation, Nigeria also need to place total control on twitter, Facebook, tellgram, infact all social media platforms. Cos the type of evils and propaganda that spreads through the platform will one day set our country ablaze.
You people praying for authoritarian rules because the current administration favors you. In an already corrupt government system you want to add absolute power? Lack of wisdom. There's the proverb about the forest saying the axe was one of them until it cut down everyone. Freedom of speech is an essential tenet of modern democracy. You cannot stop people from talking simply because you don't like what they say.

Those that are attacking the coup plotters with this decision... is there any difference between them and ur leaders... can u express urself on social media without putting urself at risk of being arrested by DSS ... selective arrest .... youths were killed for protesting bad governance in Nigeria.....
Given the kind of bitter statements I see on Nairaland daily DSS would have arrested a quarter of Nairalander if they decided to act on it. We do in fact have a good deal of freedom of speech. Go on Twitter and see people. Freedom of speech anywhere is not an excuse for hateful speech yet a lot of it on social media in Nigeria goes without consequence.

Yeah sure

There are always exceptions to every norms or situations

There's something called Language interference, it's a whole course in Linguistics

I am a Linguist
I'd be more interested in ensuring kids speak many languages fluently than focus solely on English. Some parents apply the same logic even with their own languages.
If kids read well enough, sometimes watch TV programmes in proper English & use it adequately in the right contexts, it'll definitely help them master English & each language with minimal language interference.

In China, they don't teach them in pidgin too

U could have advocated for being taught in Indigenous language

Pidgin English is colloquial English

Why the parents and teachers frown at it is because it affects your proper English Language Learning and usage

I am a Linguist
Most of my cousins speak pristine English when they want and they still speak pidgin fluently. This is nothing but faux elitism. We are capable of speaking more than one language properly.

Apt.
If Soccer takes the place of God in your life it becomes an idol. It becomes a sin
If your business or Job takes the place of God in your life, it becomes an idol and a sin.
If your spouse or kids take the place of God in your life, they become idols.

GOD is number 1. Any other thing is becomes an idol.
This god-first attitude is what Islamic extremists/jihadists use as excuse for their heinous crimes. If God exists, he is second to my family and everyone that matters to me. My humanity is priority over any form of spirituality.

LMAO. For a while? It only gets expensive from here. Please don't cite local refinery as solution to bring cheap fuel. Petrol will remain expensive because crude is sold at international prices.
We're headed down inflation & high cost of living. If the naira loses value Petrol will increase even more. Tinubu has already achieved his explicit goal of reducing purchasing power.

Nigerians still trust Tinubu to keep his promise, if not, protests would have broken out by now like it was during the CBN cash crunch debacle. Even the NLC and TUC are at peace with Tinubu as all await the Dangote refinery to start production.
LMAO. You sound ridiculous with this false hope, please. Petrol will not sell at 200 or lower unless crude oil price crashes by maybe 70% or naira appreciates to 200/$, which is impossible. Dangote will buy crude at international prices when he starts refining, so maybe slightly cheaper but still expensive nonetheless. When the person in power was from a minority tribe, people collaborated to give him bad press about removing subsidy. Now everyone's quiet and accepting the suffering. Did Nigerians trust Buhari when he increased pump price? It's just a matter of accepting suffering as a norm.

I dedicate “Oil In My Head” by Black Sheriff to Reno. Great jam!
You people have no idea that it's an awful idea for a country that is in dire need of foreign investments. The moment you start to nationalize assets belonging to foreign nationalities, the little FDI coming in will dry permanently and we will make zero progress. Right now we need billions of dollars in FDI annually to make progress. Everyone with a populist idea on social media sounds like a great economist on paper until things backfire. It's like the fuel subsidy issue and printing of money that will drive us to hyperinflation.

And many people don't know that VoIP calls while cheap are also mostly very insecure
The government can already listen to and record your conversations via cellular calls. You're better off using WhatsApp calls if you're so concerned about snooping as it's supposed to be encrypted.

Can you explain the bolded a bit more
VOIP is basically Voice Over Internet Protocol. So voice calls using an internet connection as opposed to regular cellular calls. For iPhone it's things like FaceTime calls and WiFi calling.

I noticed that some people sees use of WhatsApp for calls as unprofessional.

I prefer WhatsApp calls to normal voice calls because it's more cheaper and also helps save normal call airtime for lines that are not registered on WhatsApp.

A woman refused to engage me in business discussion because I called her via WhatsApp. She feels I'm not serious or professional enough.

Do you have any issues with WhatsApp calls for business/official purposes?
Nigerian mentality. I heard people in the UK prefer WhatsApp calls and in the US there's some level of preference for VOIP calls using iPhone.
It's the same mindset with babes sometimes where they think you're unserious because of WhatsApp calls.
