Hemeenworth:It's so easy to be a hero when typing behind your keyboard. A good number of times people have tried to be heroes around some police officers it hasn't ended well for them. People downplayed EndSARS and we all know how many bodies the government still has in morgues and the occasional issues of police framing people for refusing to cooperate. 1 Like |

BIZNess123:What the hell are you saying? The role of the government is to create a secure and enabling environment, which they have failed at. We need foreign direct investment but it won't come because inflation is high, exchange rate is unstable, armed groups operate largely unchecked, power generation is insufficient after 23 years of democracy, purchasing power is getting eroded daily. The poor citizens can't create the kind of wealth needed to raise 200 million people out of poverty with a dysfunctional society and governance. China's government raise several hundred million people out of poverty because of its planning and discipline. They did not leave it to Tom, Dick & Harry to do when those people can't feed themselves. 10 Likes 1 Share |

mrvitalis:Very flawed analysis. FDI improves local production and potentially export. China had a lot of FDI and still grew to be the biggest economy. Vietnam is growing now because of a lot of FDI going into their manufacturing sector and turning them into a hub for production. As long as you generate production, create jobs and the government mandates a minimum required local participation it'll benefit the host country. 1 Like |

I don't use an iPhone. But people focus on iPhone being expensive like S23 Ultra isn't well over a million naira too at full launch price. Anyway, apps are better optimised for iOS and developers will release there first and the best. Social media apps generally work better with iOS. They have the BEST smartphone processor right now, although high-end Android phones have more GPU power. iPhones have the BEST video recording capabilities. Pixel could be argued to take better pictures though, although it's not a huge difference by any means. The iPhone however is the best all-rounder camera phone. iPhones have the longest software support cycle of any smartphone phone. iPhones have better resale value. Buy an S23 Ultra at launch price of say ₦1.3m and a iPhone 15 Pro Max at the same launch price and give them eight months, the Samsung would have depreciated by significantly more. PS: I use a Samsung S22+. iPhones have the most efficient chipsets and last longer than comparable Android phones while using a physically smaller battery. DxOMark rated the 14 Pro Max display as the most color accurate as of last year. Because Apple doesn't produce budget phones and hardly drop discounts, iPhones have a premium posturing in the smartphone world. Sapphire glass on iPhones is more durable and scratch resistant than Gorilla Glass on comparable Android phones. Edited: Apple's iPhone glass is called "ceramic shield." I guess it's the Apple Watch Ultra's glass that's called sapphire glass. Still the strongest on any smartphone nonetheless. 61 Likes 8 Shares |

bassdow:What a ridiculous mindset. 300k is basically $300 now but wise asses like you think anyone using a 300k phone should own a house in Maitama or VGC. My phone and laptop cost me over 300k each and that's not even from this year at the current exchange rate. I'm a proud renter and thankfully won't build a hut in my village to please people people like you. |

Levyweston:They already pay tons of taxes. The issue is multiple taxations. We don't have streamlined tax systems. Do you expect businesses to pay full taxes at the federal level, state level and even LGA level? You can't have a thriving business environment when any level can arbitrarily impose taxes that are already being taken. Just imagine if you had to pay income tax several times. 2 Likes |
