If the conscience of people in presidency, senate, house of Rep, State govt officials, govt parastatals, etc didn't disturb them from embezzlement, corruption, nepotism and favoritism, Then, why blaming BokoHaram? Why should my conscience disturb me if I take to crime? Anybody with BokoHaram contact, I'm ready to work with them. #You may say whatever you like, if I have your opportunity, I will say the same, and if you are in my shoe, you will do the worst#

igbonla: The nonsense will not be happening if the followership have the power or recognizes that they have the power to remove bad leaders. On the whole, people get the kind of leaders they deserve or how much brain do people need to understand that they can collect your rice and still vote for those that will do the work.
People do not want a decent society, only the middle class and elite care about that; policies that will help the economy/people are usually not popular (petroleum subsidy, assessment test for teachers, banning of okada on some roads, tarrif on imported vehicles, etc). Nigerians have lots of work to do.

I kind of think that poverty has flipped the brains of so many people.
I disagree with the statement '' only the middle class and elite care about that'' coz it is this same elite and middle class that hardly seen coming out on election day. Majority of voters in Nigeria are the lower class (okada riders, market women, farmers, drivers, artisans etc). Majority of middle class and elites show no interest in voting during an election believing that the result has already been fixed. Now tell me how THE MIDDLE CLASS AND ELITES care about govt policies. If it is by protesting; you hardly see them. With all these, how do they care. How many doctors, nurse, engineers, established business men/women, bankers, renowned pastors/immam, even teachers will you normally see on election day pooling centre?

PoliticsRe: Ajimobi Must Go by samuel25(m): 3:10pm On Jul 10, 2014
Na wa for all these APC supporters. All their analysis based on 40% vote from Ibadan win Oyo state governorship forgetting other zones. If opposition can get 25 - 30% in Ibadan with massive vote from other zones which Ajimobi has neglected since after his election, such opposition win. I see PDP as such opposition. Ibadan may say Akala didn't do anything, but an abandoned road from Igboho to Iseyin that cut across almost 5 LGs was constructed and extended by Akala regime with countless of major and minor bridges. So also are borehole in many remote villages which are very essential to people. If Ajimobi continue like this, he will NEVER will re-election. Imaging him using other LG money to develop only Ibadan. If LG election were conducted real development will take place in LGA but with few caretaker committee running LG administration, they just busy sharing money among the few opportunist. As for Accord Party that rely heavily on civil servants due to Ladoja performance but almost 50% of the civil servants doesn't vote. Most of them travelled to where their family is and hold voters card for another place. Even the 25 students per class and establishment of more schools by Ladoja administration was used to cause religious crisis especially in Oke ogun area (don't know of other parts) where all the schools were named Muslim pry or Secondary. Students come out with Hijab idea even in christian schools. These will work against Accord Party among christian fanatics. As a neutral person but like reading about politics I see PDP having edge due to their structure. Just an observer.

relchange: i share this position as well.
some people can't see beyond their noses, yet they insult those who can.
selfishness has totally blinded them.
I don’t know why some people will continue to make themselves obstacles to Nigeria match for greatness. can any body compare the development for example that we have in
communities in Osun state today to what it was when they were in Oyo ,can any body compare the development we have in delta communities today esp asaba ,oghara etc to what we have when they were in bendel, can any body compare the development we have in anambra today to what it was when they were in old anambra.any section that feels state creation did not bring any development to their area should continue with what they have at hand while allowing others who feels
otherwise to move ahead without any let or
hindrance. those who choose to remain almajiri with mud and thatched houses ,drinking water from streams and rivers and living inside bushes and forests should be allowed to continue their life the way they preferred.
PoliticsRe: The Proposed 18 New States And Their Capital by samuel25(m): 7:08pm On Jul 08, 2014
Xfactoria: God bless you my brother! I had this same argument with people on my facebook page about the stupidity of additional state creation. I noted that the only time in the history of Nigeria that there was accelerated development was when we had regions and the local government councils were strong in pre-civil war Nigeria.

This recommendation is being driven by ego and pride and the economics of it just doesn't make sense. The cost of governance will increase (as if our democracy is not already expensive) and government revenue shared among states and local governments will end up being used to service 18 new rogues, sorry governors and their endless lists of special advisers and PAs. Think of their security votes which would amount to 9 billion monthly (assuming 500 million per state). Think of the new sets of official cars that will be bought and maintained. Think of the 18 new governor's lodges, 18 new state secretariats, commissioners etc. Think of new sets of legislators at the state and federal level ( 54 new Senators assuming 3 per state, 162 new house of reps members assuming 9 per state). The list is endless of the teething problems that will put real development on hold.

If anyone wants to know how stupid and senseless it is to be creating states without thinking it through, check how these states are faring since they were created - Ekiti, Osun, Ebonyi, Nassarawa and Kebbi. These states can barely pay workers' salaries and the ones controlled by APC are borrowing money to finance projects because their allocation leaves nothing when politicians pay themselves and workers. Ever heard of states being insolvent? There are many in Nigeria today that are on the brink of bankruptcy. In business, companies merge or acquire each other when some of them become insolvent. That sort of consolidation is what should be taking place in Nigeria and not creating more mushroom states. Ekiti should by now be negotiating merger with Ondo State etc.

This crap is like a thousand steps backward!
The mentality of we Nigerian is dragging this country backward. Despite the fact that those mentioned state keep borrowing, yet politicians still looted in those state. Let those states be created so that many people have access to government either in development or otherwise (looting). Even if the state were not created, the existing one are being run by the same set of old fools. If created, more job opportunities at both new state capital and LG headquarters.

OKUN STATE IS THE ONLY STATE THE SW NEEDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!angryangryangry
Selfishness dey worry you. How many LGA do kogi and kwara have put together. The population of only Ibadan is more than your 2 states. What is rationale behind your okun state in south west. The new Oyo has about 19 LGAs, if you don't know, those areas are food basket of south west.

valarinz: I'm curious, what is this "short cut" feeding system you're trying to market here. You are either another internet farmer or you give us proof here of this magic feeding system you have that will give you fantastic results. You only end up confusing new farmers or already practicing but inexperienced ones and I Dont know what you intend to do by achieving that( maybe to sell the information on the 'short cut system'). If you're sincere enough then post it here and Dont just come here and mention 'short cut', and scramble off to leave the inexperienced farmers running after you for the info.

I'm a practicing farmer who specialise in broilers and until proven wrong by any 'magic feeding system' I'll just like to let prospective farmers here know that you get good results based on buying good doc, and good management practices, as regards feeding you either use commercial feed or mill your feed, but in whichever case your birds will consume the required amount of feed to reach market weight, there's no short cut. That's what I do and I get my results in 6 weeks, no laziness or procrastination in farming, good management practices and quality doc will get you there, also see the table below for a breakdown of what you expect your birds to consume and the expected outcome

Feed consumption
Age ( weekly per bird) Live body weight (wks). Type of feed kg lb. kg lb.
1. Chicken starter. 0.13 0.29 0.15. 0.33
2 Chicken starter. 0.28 0.62. 0.36. 0.79
3 Chicken starter. 0.47 1.02 0.65. 1.43
4 Chicken grower. 0.67 1.48 1.03 2.26
5 Chicken grower 0.85 1.87 1.46. 3.21
6 Chicken grower 1.07 2.36 1.91. 4.21
7 Chicken finisher. 1.18 2.60. 2.36 5.20
8 Chicken finisher. 1.30. 2.86 2.79 6.14
9 Chicken finisher 1.41 3.11 3.20 7.03
Total. 7.36 16.20
Thanks so much, people like you are uncommon. You are just like people like Robonski, Excelsiorfarm, Ab1x, Togunwa etc on ''hidden truth about catfish business'' thread on this forum. May God reward and enlarge you for given this info free of charge without referring to any blog or manual for sale. Engnr_collins: • It is a grate sin in the eyes of Islam to kill an innocent person, and someone who kills an innocent person will encounter a terrible punishment in the hereafter (Qur’an, 5:32)

• Islamic moral values command Muslims to
behave justly at all times, when making decisions,
when speaking or at work; in brief at every moment of their lives (Qur’an, 10:47)

• Muslims must summon people to the moral values
of Islam, not using force and pressure, but solely by speaking gently (Qur’an, 3:104)

• Islam commands solidarity and mutual aid among people (Qur’an, 5:2)

• Islam commands goodness and forbids evil (Qur’an, 3:104)

• Islam commands people to respond to evil with good (Qur’an, 41:34)

• Allah commands Muslims to always be forgiving (Qur’an, 7:199)

• Islam commands people to be pleasant-natured (Qur’an, 7:159)

• There is complete freedom of belief in Islam (Qur’an, 2:256)

• Islam commands not to support wickedness (Qur’an, 10:26-27)
Terrorist organizations are built on impotent foundations. Whether they emerge using the name
of Islam, whether they are Marxist or ethnic nationalist, a mass education campaign must be mobilized against the ideological foundation of them all.

The source of terror is ignorance and fanaticism, and the solution is education. Circles sympathetic to
terrorism need to be told that this is completely incompatible with Islam and that, on the contrary, it can only harm Muslims and Islam, and the
supporters of these organizations need to be educated so they can be purged of this inhuman barbarism. If the Nigerian government supports a
policy of education along these lines, it very would likely yield positive results
The book of Surah Al- baqarah chapter 2 vs 216. It says, “Holy fighting is ordained (prescribed) for all muslims, whether they like it or not, as far as it is good and approved by Allah through his prophet Mohammed.”
Q: Where is it in the Qur’an that killing is also permitted by Allah?
A: Look at Surah Al-baqarah chapter 2 vs 191 “And kill them wherever you find them, and turn them out from where they have turned you out. An Al-Fitnah is worse than killing. And fight not with them at Al-Masjid-Al-Haram (the sanctuary at Makkah), unless they (first) fight you there. But if they attack you, then kill them. Such is the recompense of the disbelievers.” Muslims are told to kill and fight in the cause of Allah.

Is Jonathan presenting those statements as excuses? This must be a total and stupid excuses. Jonathan was just telling Nigerians that I know your problems and the sources but I have no clue of the solution. Why was he voted in? Why did he contest when he knew that he could never solve the problem of Nigeria? Does that answer why Diezani, Oduah and many other people who have been alleged of corruption are still in power? Every government is brought in to make a change and improve people's lives. What has Jonathan done for the poor masses of Nigeria? He came in with the promise to change things and NEVER NEVER LET US DOWN. But what has he realy changed and what step has he taken that shows that he really want to make a change. The statement
above is a clear submission that, 'I know the problems but I am incapable of solving it'. We are not expecting 100% from him. All we are asking for is a step that shows seriousness and commitment. In Jonathan and his likes, Nigerians can never find the desired hope.
