It sad that when things like this happen, some of us Christians fail to apply the real thing God's Word says we should do and go about acting out our own feelings which isn't important. The Word says if you feel oppressed, you should pray and God would step into the matter and take control and then you'll be at rest. The battle of our faith is the Lord's and not ours. Humanly, we can't do much but with God it's a settle matter. So why make el-Rufai feel like a small god at this time? It shouldn't be. The rantings has to stop because that wouldn't stop el-Rufai but doing the right thing as we are admonished in the Word. Let's learn to show maturity in the way we handle issues as Christians. I don't believe in noise making but taking real action. I'm not just talking about el-Rufai's whatever bill here but how we should handle anything that challenges our faith walk with God. Happy Sunday. |

It has happened to many and it can happen to you too. Nigeria has always been like this since we were born and it'll always be like this, yet, many still take the bull by the horns and live big. How? Because they look above the economy and fix their gaze on God. Go for God brother, our economy would never change to favor you hence, force it through God even in this state and it'll work for you. That's how I think. |

The boss saw that the young man has potentials and will be a great lawyer so, he decided to kill his career before it starts. He called the young corp to his private chambers asked for something from him, the Corper refused then, he staged everything...

freeze001: Will this piecemeal release of what appearsappears to be 'bailout' funds be feasible in the long run? Are they going to continue like this? What is in place or has been resolved to get the economy function optimally without the need for these government interventions?
What is needed is structural rather than cosmetic reform. Asking for guarantee from contractors as regards how many people they will be re-engaged before the release of the funds is laughable.
Should we say the government is now resorting to bribing contractors to engage people? That should be something that flows naturally when necessary infrastructure are in place with a conducive environment for business. If the FG owes contractors then pay them and don't make it contingent on how many people they will re-engage. The emphasis should be on timely delivery of high quality contract projects which will serve members of the public. You are certainly on point. At times I wonder the nature of people that make up our executives. I wonder if they went to school at all. How can a people sit, waste our time and resources and ended up with a resolution such as this? Is this not a display of ignorance and a confirmation that they are not ready to move the country forward? These guys don't make sense to me. |

baum1: Very correct, thank you. Please, the brother/sister who is not happy to sit where the usher recommends, the Bible says we should submit to authority for every authority is appointed by God for a purpose Romans 13: 1 - 5. The church, I mean where our Lord Jesus Christ actually dwells, is the house of the Lord and my take is that He directs any turn of events in His house - things do not just happen in His house by chance.
I encourage bro/sis to obey the ushers even if it means splitting temporarily from the person that you both came together to church.
Bless you. I don't really know how to put it for that guy to understand where I'm coming from but I am glad you do understand me. I am someone that strongly believes in order because if I don't, I know that disobedience can build up and affect my life negatively. The problem with many people is that they don't understand that their actions can cause a chain effect in their life. They do something and feels it ends there but it doesn't. There are so many people today who are in a place that they ought not to be because they never allowed the Holy Spirit to lead them. They argue about everything and do things in their own canal ways. Why? Because the leading of the Spirit are usually foolish to them. Let me stop here please. |

shumuel:
and where is it written in the Bible, that where i sit matters ?
What if its the same Holy Spirit that is the one guiding me to sit where i wanted, but they are trying to lead me away from there ?
To me as long as you sit at the right place, their guidiance doesn't matter The same Holy Spirit cannot guide you and them wrongly. The Ushering Unit itself came to be by the Spirit and it responsibility is to usher you into the church and position you for the same Spirit. You are not an Usher and as such you don't have right to choose where to sit in church when you come except the Ushers are not around. The unit was also set up to maintain order in the church and you must subscribe to it. Imagine if everyone in the church thinks about them the way you do. There would be disorganization and the Spirit of God does not work where the people are not organized. There's no need being unnecessarily stubborn. You'll only be setting yourself up for destruction because it wouldn't end in the church. It'll take you to the devil. So don't offend the Holy Spirit. Respect a constituted authority. Choose to be humble. |

shumuel: All expect No6, for pete's sake am not a chess piece, so i sit where i want to, those ushers get wahala, they would cleary see you are with someone but would decide to separate you, i don't like that. Allow them guide you always even if they separate you from someone you came to church with. Remember, they may not be doing that intentionally but through the leading of the Spirit. Positioning matters a lot in church. So allow the Spirit place you where you should be to be able to receive from the same Spirit you went to visit. Again, your Pastor put them there, so disobeying them is disobeying your man of God which isn't good. |

i'm not disputing your description of the Ogun camp Samuelson06
Are you currently serving? *if your answer is on the affirmative*
What's the experience Like so far? I'm currently serving. Trust me, there's nothing special. On the last day at camp, you are handed your PPA and then you try to locate it. There, you are either accepted or rejected. 5-6k per month if they give you accommodation or 7-8k without accommodation. You teach whatever set of humans they assign to you: pupils or students or both. On Thursdays, you meet with your fellow corp members to sit and make noise somewhere and then write your name on the attendance and leave. Lot of treks here and there and few favors coming your way. Did I forget something? Oh! go out for sensitization as organized by your CDS group. What more do you want to hear? |

Elebiju: The hostels are not your rooms so be prepared for anything and try any means to avoid Jonathan hostel and humility hostel formerly known as ecomog hostel cos they are built like warehouses and they can accommodate over 400 PCM per hostel.if you struggle for early registration then you will surely make it into these two hostels but if you delay your registration like we did then you will find yourself in the more comfortable hostels like akpabio and the other ones. infact we met like you guys on Nairaland and we booked 2 God is Good buses at iyana ipaja straight to camp, kudos to Corper Seun. we delayed our registration in camp so we could share a room in akpabio hostel and it was fun. All these hostel names in Sagamu camp I seem to be lost. |
