Efewestern, Amarabae, shall we compare this car starting at N5.2M to the Innoson car of N6.6M for manual transmission and N7.3M for its automatic transmission? I hope you guys see my point now. |
It is high time the Federal government declared a state of emergency in certain states. This act of wickedness and lust for blood is fast becoming worrisome. |
Promismike:In your mind you have made sense. Is the structure NYSC owned? Someone would have died in her stead whether NYSC or not. The state government takes the blame here. It could have been anybody. |
Four Madrid Players would make the FifPro XI ![]() |
Efewestern:Efe, we just have to be blunt to get there. One of the reasons Nigeria hasn't improved as expected is because we still indulge sentiments in the face of truth. Would you gladly shell out N7.3M for the car up there in the name of supporting our own? This is no Igbo, Yoruba or Hausa issue, far from it. Our indigenous manufacturers seem not to understand the basics of survival as fingerlings in a vast ocean of predators who have been known and trusted for decades. This same sentiment was shown towards Omatek about three years ago when their computers started coming to light. People felt the need to patronise them because it was our own. How many of our own would gladly buy Omatek desktop computer with their pricing when it us near what HP is selling for? How do you really convince a middle class Nigerian to buy that aside the 'patronise our own' sentiment? Our manufacturers have a long way to go, really. |
alfajet: ![]() The British Press reveals this and Google is your friend. Let's not fool ourselves, yeah? We all know the only person that traveled with Ojukwu were his two children and two soldiers excluding the flight crew. Ojukwu fled this country with a 3000 pound luggage, that is 1360 KG. Google is your trusted ally, my friend. |
Amarabae:The previous cars are not the problem. This is supposed to be a new car but with the standard, regular, Kia design and worst still, branded the pride of African Road. Do we also talk about the N7.3M price as well? I could as well turn the way of Ford rather lie to myself. Innoson is clearly not ready for the Nigerian market. That is my point. |
This is so wrong. The major difference between them is the bulkiness of content. CVs are more detailed and explicit and is not bound by number of pages while a resumé is lighter in content and is only required to highlight previous positions and roles carried out. Another thing to note is that CVs are more required in the academic fields as it requires detailed academic works, researches, conferences attended alongside their timelines. |
Amarabae:I really don't understand what you mean by painment when you can not only afford that car up there but won't clearly buy it. If this is the best a Nigerian company could offer her own, then I bet it is not ready to break even. Car manufacturers are losing sleep daily just because they want to give people more reasons to stick with their brands and here we are celebrating mediocrity in the name of tribalism. Innoson is clearly not ready to break even in the Nigerian market because her target audience has not been revealed through her vehicle pricings. We are a nation of people in which the average, middle class are ten times the number of the super rich and the best Innoson could do is to announce a car supposedly targeted at the middle class and peg it at N7M. We'll all be here for a long time. I guess it would be enough to wait and observe how things play out. |
PaperLace:We should truly encourage the entrepreneurial spirit of Nigerians but Innoson isn't trying one bit. In a country where we hardly make ours and are fixated on importing, the proper thing to do is flood the market with your vehicle parts and give Nigerians just one reason why they should patronise their own. But no, a regular car design with no special highlighted features is branded a 'Pride of African Road' and pegged at N7M+ for its automatic transmission. They are clearly not ready. |
So this car reassembling plant just succeeded in reassembling God-knows-what for N7.3M? They are clearly not cut out and ready for business in the Nigerian market. The likes of Ben Bruce would buy one and advertise for them as always. Assembling a car with a 'blah' design and no special features to make the car worth the amon to is like asking a typical Nigerian to throw away money in this era. Good luck with their box. |
Kiakia:He scored a fluke goal last night, scored another fluke goal on Sunday against this same Barcelona, scored the same kind of goals in all his debuts and even against Bayern Munich. Had Messi or Suarez ever stomach the idea of scoring something that similar in the first leg and even last night. Your club might have probably won the Spanish Super Cup. |
SonOfAfonja:You're a Barce fan but I don't understand why you're pained over Madrid issues. For the record, Morata wasn't 'sold' to create space for Benzema. The former wanted more playing time ahead of the World Cup and wasn't willing to settle as part of the rotation squad at the Bernabeu. Besides, Borja Mayoral is on standby to take over from Benzema. One thing you have to understand is that Madrid under Zidane is gradually shifting from signing solely world class names to developing players who would suit the Madrid philosophy. Coentrao, Pepe, Morata, Mariano, Danilo and James (loan) have all left the club just recently, yet their absence were never felt. I guess this should be enough to tell you that the present Madrid team is everything Barce would love to be but cannot become. Finally, I think Barce is the team that needs to be reminded that it is a long season. With your horrible crop of players, a seeming knock to Suarez who looks uncomfortable tonight and the absence of a perfect Neymar replacement. Your team might just end up thinking about the UCL qualification for next season rather than keenly contest the La Liga. |
Suspect33:Honestly, I'm tired. As it stands, I believe I wasted the night since I only saw a training instead of a match. Perhaps it has been moved without proper PR ![]() |
The present depth of the team might see us lift a third consecutive UCL. Zidane has redefined team management such that the bench and each player understands that he plays only because he is being given the chance to do so. I honestly can't wait to see ATM play Barcelona. |
The depth of the team is outstanding. Imagine a Real side without Ronaldo, Isco and Bale, yet the winning was as soft as butter. Choi! ![]() |
Ksslib:Please na ![]() |
Emino21:'Even Kovacic' is a raw talent. Don't underestimate him in any way. ![]() |
haymekus:Zidane does not use a three-man defence. Maybe you're referring to the other Madrid. |
![]() |
Isco won't be starting as well. Meanwhile, Barcelona would be playing 3-5-2 ![]() |
Bale isn't starting Asensio and Lucas would be doing the frenzy before Bale comes on in the second half. Casemiro has been dropped for the Maestro, Modric. Kovacic would be starting the match. The midfield is beefed-up as it stands. |
mazimee:Lol... He claims the five match ban is exaggerated and ridiculous. |
alfajet:Ojukwu took 3000 pounds of luggage with him to Abidjan. I don't know what else you would call fleeing if not that. |
Honestly, I see no reason why anyone should complain here. They have always screamed 'Biafra or death' and since Biafra wasn't forthcoming they chose death on a moisty Wednesday morning. If they were in their homes or their places of livelihood, I am very sure they wouldn't have been unfortunate this morning. No amount of 'RIP' would bring them back because they clearly died for nothing. I'm still waiting for the Biafran Secret Service to come alive since they were inaugurated just yesterday. Funny. |
haymekus:Which Paulinho? The same who has started gifting cars to celebrate his likely move? He has to pass the medicals tomorrow ![]()
|
sonofthunder:In short ehn ![]() |

It was a mistake that cannot be corrected from my end. The first post is locked. |
Bibidear:You'll be fine ![]()

That Luka was mentioned as a goal scorer was a mistake as he didn't even play.
|
ogbiwa: ![]() Pique was the highlight in the Barcelona team as all three goals came through him. The first was an own goal, the second; Ronaldo beat him to score the stunner and Asensio, again beat him to score a screamer. He could only look on on a cold night ![]() Bale and Benzema didn't have much on their hands for the night when the opposite could have been the case.
