Rapahel1116:You honestly don't understand football and the philosophies of Football clubs, particularly that of the team you support. Barcelona's philosophy has always been the La Masia while Real's has always been star signings. Simply put, two Spanish clubs with two opposite ideologies. Barcelona's problem started when they signed Suarez and Neymar. They lost it and forgot about the La Masia, thinking they could always pick another star signing in the market when they feel like it. Here is the truth, Barcelona was nowhere near Madrid before 2006 and didn't even come close until the ascension of Ronaldinho who played with the likes of Giuly, Eto'o and a host of others. The continuity wasn't difficult as a young Messi was waiting in the wings for Ronaldinho to leave the stage and that he did without hassles. This period in time was inevitable. The over-dependence on Messi and his ability has always been the problem and truth is, no one saw it coming. Right now, Barcelona's midfield is a mess, the defence is sheer horror and Messi has dropped to a deeper role in midfield which means the would need to get extraordinary forwards to get the job done. Zidane capitalised in resuscitating the Castilla with so many stars waiting for Ronaldo to leave. Martin Odegaard and Enzo Zidane are just two of them. Madrid's dominance isn't ending soon but it would be one hell of a long wait for Barcelona to get it right. Messi is aging just as Ronaldo which is a huge problem for the Catalan club. |

Suspect33:Barca's undoing would be to troll a club far better than them. Ronaldo remains the ONLY captain for the Ballon d'Or, Barcelona is presently down by two goals at the Nou Camp, they are with a crop of low quality players and can't seem to replace Neymar. Plus, they currently have a coach whose next three months is uncertain. Now is even the best time for Arsenal fans to troll Barce ![]() |
toogbasky:We can't be too sure at this point. |
Suspect33:You almost choked me ![]() Appeal is a two way thing, I trust Perez on this. Our appeal team would claim it was a 'friendly shove' and might use the Spanish media to blackmail the panel before the hearing. Even if Ronaldo does not play, the crop of players we have would get the job done. I believe we would win on aggregate. |
Ronaldo's red card would be appealed and rescinded and then we would continue from where we stopped come Wednesday. |

This piece has always been my mindset from the the very beginning. What people must understand is that there is big, big difference between restructuring and True Federalism and Resource Control. We don't need restructuring because it would still be tweaked to accommodate the anomalies on ground. Rather, Federalism. Weaken the centre and give each region the play ground to develop at their own pace, using their respective resources. The United States' model comes to mind. |
Of what use is blessing the place when its source has always been questionable? While the Catholic Bible slightly differs from that of Christian's, I believe they have the books of Chronicles in theirs to understand how God rejected David from building a Temple because his hands were too stained with blood. Those who choose to worship are only messing with their lives. |
It would go down in the end and people like us would be on the sidelines. This one man would be the death of many. |
austinosita:Most certainly your part of Nigeria. |
Efewestern:Honestly, Efe, I'm stunned. |
austinosita:That your LAND is doomed does not mean Nigeria's is. They're way two different things. |
emeijeh:Where did Bobrisky grow up again? |
The Catholic Church is crazy. So they mean to tell me they don't have funds in the church's account they could use in compensating the families of these people? What have they been doing with the monies received from 'Don Bishop'? Why can't they just ask him to assist the people he helped killed rather than ask Nigerians Off all things, they had to open an account. Stupìd people. |
nototribalist:95%? How did you arrive at 95%? This same rice is still being sold in Lagos presently and you're still cooking some 95% figures. |
wabbyland:You could get it in Lagos. If you are in any of the states in the SW, you could check out malls around you. |
Curlieweed:Where did you pull the emboldened from? How you guys arrive at some illogical conclusion is laughable. Sadly, most of you don't and won't learn. We are neck deep in this forex trouble because we import more than we export and you are still asking that prohibition on importation be removed. |
nototribalist:Lagos rice wasn't a scam. It was sold in December, during Christmas and the reason was to unsettle the the pressure of rice scarcity. And knowing that rice is just about the major staple food eaten during Christmas, what you call scam was more or less a special agricultural intervention. Chances are that it would pop up again this year. |
Afam4eva:I believe it is enough and more than enough to consider the North as the country's greatest asset 'just because they produce most of what we eat'. The oil in The Delta does not benefit the people, save the government who sells it and keeps the money. Even in the face of resource control, another form of government would still be in charge and not the man whose land oozes with crude unending. Last I checked, I still buy fuel weekly and the money does not return to my pocket. Let's be frank with one another, the oil in itself is only beneficial to a handful of Northern Elites and a couple of Igbo folks and Yoruba folks as well. Proceeds from agriculture is the reason the Obafemi Awolowo University is standing today and it is the reason the SW metamorphosed into a region of book lovers. My point is, agriculture might not be our primary cash cow, but it does not take away the fact that it plays a more vital role in Nigeria than oil in itself. Do we still export cash crops? Yes, we do, and while it is not what it used to be, we barely look towards that angle because we get it cheap. Believe me, it would be MI:VII for Cameroon to primarily take up the responsibility of providing for Nigeria should the North say no today because we would put into consideration how much food it has for its people before thinking of others. I'd upload the video and share the link tomorrow to see the effect of food shortage on a large scale. That the North is doing us a favour is an understatement. |
I'm still reading through the thread like I am dreaming. Which one is 'EASTERN PORTS' or 'Ports in Biafraland' This one is way beyond me ![]() |
Real Madrid have a 3-1 aggregate lead going into the second leg of the Supercopa de Espana at the Santiago Bernabeu on Wednesday night. Zinedine Zidane's side secured a convincing victory courtesy of late goals from Cristiano Ronaldo and Luka Modric, though Ronaldo was sent off shortly after scoring and has since been handed a five-match ban for pushing the referee. https://i.ytimg.com/vi/maNRh8iD1ck/maxresdefault.jpg |
Afam4eva:No it isn't a joke. To you oil plays a more pivotal role to our nation building just because it oozes from the ground 'for free'? A friend who works with the Associated Press sent me a rare footage of the civil war just yesterday. A 16 minutes video which I'm planning to share tomorrow and I realised that the Igbos were beaten to submission because FOOD supply was cut off. Interestingly, people had their monies with them but couldn't buy a thing because food wasn't in circulation. Long before the discovery of oil in Nigeria, the country relied on the SW's cocoa, the Mid-West's rubber and palm oil, just as the Old Eastern region, and most importantly, the agricultural produce from the North. The Late Nnamdi Azikiwe wooed them to no end and insisted the country needs the North desperately. Was he wrong? Hell no! My people took great pride in farming before the discovery of oil in Delta. We lost so many lands because oils would flow out from the soil when tilled. My own family lost a whole lot of oil palm lands to crude flow. The truth is Nigeria fared during the golden agricultural days, and that Nigeria is what it is today is because of oil. Not a single oil producing country in the world today operate a mono economy because everyone understands that agriculture is the major way out. So what if the FG return the golden goose eggs but food is unavailable? Would we drink the oil? Indeed, yes, the oil somehow serves the country, but does it really serve you and I? Oil is not a necessity, not in the least of ways. |
aribisala0:I'll indulge your madness since you're very cheeky. Apparently, you're dense. So your excuse for failures on the part of the SE to cultivate rice or farm is because of land mass? When we ask you guys to get education, you stop at J.S.S. 3 and hop onto night buses to Lagos. How big is Denmark as a country that it has become known all over the world for its agricultural strength? The United States is 228 times bigger than Denmark, yet, the latter rakes in €14.6b worth of food and farm produce annually, accounting for 3.4% of the world market food. This is a country with just 42,931 km² of landmass. So what again is the excuse of the SE for failing here again? What do you mean by 'there is no land at home'? Do yourself a huge favour and ask questions about the vast wastelands in Nkanu West, Oji River and Awgu in Enugu State. I believe you're keeping them for the dead? I'll put you out of your misery real quick... The SE is specially lazy when it comes to farming, and most importantly, it is a rare sight to see anyone practice commercial agriculture in the South East because the practice is quite alien to them. How many states of the SE can Ebonyi rice feed comfortably? What other states in the East are truly cultivating rice and other agricultural produce on a large scale? Now don't you dare mention Obiano's Ugwu scam because we know the truth in the end. Yes, Oyo is incredibly big but how much of its land mass is put to use, compared to the parts lying dormant? There are far smaller countries in the world with good agricultural strength. Hiding under the canopy of landmass is nothing but an act of idiocy but then again, you didn't research because you were never really sound to do so. Should the SE be given the entire 19 states of the North today, you people would still leave the region in drove like you're being chased by an unseen force. |
Zionista:Yes, groundnuts and onions grow perfectly in the South. However, we have come to condition that certain crops are best with the Northerners and they have never disappointed at it. |
aribisala0:The SE is not populated at all. Bulk of its people are not even residing in the region. So how then is it populated? |
nototribalist:Funny. Ofada is legendary. It is the most luxurious, locally grown rice in Nigeria. Ebonyi is just about the only state in the South East that takes farming to heart. The state is just about the only one in the East that TRULY produces rice in commercial quantity. Obiano, Anambra and the media have all lied in the past and won't stop doing so. Propaganda and lies would lead you a little but the stark realities would hit in the end. We should respect the North, really, as they are clearly responsible for feeding the country. As bad as we think they are, they play the most important, though silent, role in our nation building. This is the beauty in our diversity. |
I'm quite shocked to see that a higher percentage of folks are heart and soul deep into WhatsApp calls, which is not supposed to be. Due to network related issues in Nigeria, one would need to wait about five seconds for your discussion to get to the other person and vice versa. It doesn't really make sense because an hour call costs just #600 or thereabout and I think it is only proper one uses this means rather than WhatsApp calls which are means to frustrate discussions. However, Toke is wrong for claiming WhatsApp is not to be recognised as effort in communication but then again, it is not just a meaningful venture depending on WhatsApp calls when we are yet to get right, Network-wise. |
I said it before and I'll say it again; this match ended before it started. ![]() Y Nada Mas! |
Israel13:That's the idea, Mark Ronaldo while Marcelo runs wild. I expect Ronaldo to be subdued like most teams would do with him but then again you know what happens when he finds that tiny space. |
