Real Madrid is seeking to defend the title, a feat no club has achieved since the reformation of the League in 1992. The Spanish giants also record the highest number of Champion League trophies (11) to be won by any European Team since the inception of the tournament.

Following Arsenal's humiliating exit at the hands of Bayern Munich, England will be represented by just one team: Leicester City.

The Foxes, who have been rejuvenated under new manager Craig Shakespeare, defeated Sevilla on Tuesday night in a thrilling second leg.

Manchester City seemingly had the best chance of making the quarter-finals after winning their first leg against Monaco with a thrilling 5-3 win at the Etihad, but were defeated on away goals after a 3-1 defeat in Monaco.

BetaThings:
Have you studied Christian history?
Christians have fought themselves for a very long time
What did you think the Wars of Religion was about
What was the Saint Bartolomews Day Massacre about - the souvenir from same is still at the vatican
Did you know that the terror group - IRA was also fighting a religious war
Even in Nigeria, the catholic Church pulled out of CAN; in other circumstances they would have fought

Today the Assemblies of God Church members are fighting in Kaduna and calling in police and soldiers to keep the peace in Delta and Enugu
People will fight if they believe they have reasonable expectation of victory
America (Russia) will attack Russia (America) today if it fancy its chances of victory

You really need to learn more about your religion
And I thought you guys understood history better than Christians. St Bartholomew's Day Massacre was never a war but an assassination plot which birthed multiple deaths across France.

Assemblies of God has always been fighting from time immemorial. Their cause is not religion but money.

Secular wars are not the same as religious wars. While Muslims would take up arms to see that they are the only standing religious belief, Christians would choose to pray and believe that God would fight their battles.

Emmanuel, just as you rightly pointed out means 'God with us'. Now, pray tell, in reference to whom was the name directed?

Exactly my point! Christianity has so many sects, doctrine, belief, pointing to one main person - Jesus. Despite the number, they don't find each other to kill or maim just because doctrine differ.

Islam has two major sects in the world but they kill one another at every given opportunity. Go figure!

John 8:24 - “Therefore I said to you that you will die in your sins; for if you do not believe that I AM [He], you will die in your sins.”

John 8:58 - Then Jesus said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I AM.”

John 10:30-33 - Jesus answered them, “I and My Father are one.” Then the Jews took up stones again to stone Him. Jesus answered them, “Many good works I have shown you from My Father. For which of those works do you stone Me?” The Jews answered Him, saying, “For a good work we do not stone You, but for blasphemy, and because You, being a Man, make Yourself God.”

John 14:6-7 - Jesus said to him, “I AM the way, the truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”

John 14:9-11 - Jesus said to him, “Have I been with you so long and yet you have not known Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; so how can you say, 'Show us the Father'?”

Colossians 2:9 - For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily

1 Timothy 3:16 - And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifested in the flesh, Justified in the Spirit, Seen by angels, Preached among the Gentiles, Believed on in the world, Received up in glory.

Titus 2:13 - looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ

Hebrews 1:8-9 - But to the Son He says: “Your throne, O God, is forever and ever; A scepter of righteousness is the scepter of Your kingdom. You have loved righteousness and hated lawlessness; Therefore God, Your God, has anointed You with the oil of gladness more than Your companions.”

2 John 1:7 - For many deceivers have gone out into the world who do not confess Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.

Revelation 1:8 - “I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End,” says the Lord, “who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.”

Revelation 22:13 - “I AM the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last.”... 22:16 - “I, Jesus, have sent My angel to testify to you these things in the churches.”

1 Timothy 6:14-16 - “our Lord Jesus Christ's appearing, which He will manifest in His own time, He who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings and Lord of lords, who alone has immortality, dwelling in unapproachable light, whom no man has seen or can see, to whom be honor and everlasting power. A foreign expatriate has been beaten to a pulp after he visited a friend he met on Facebook for gay intercourse.

The man simply identified as, Zcent, almost died after he was beaten by some Lagosians while he was visiting a prospective gay friend.

It was gathered that Zcent was brutally beaten and dumped by residents at a Catholic church in Ori-Oke, Ejigbo area of the state.

According to PM Express, the man left his home in Lagos Island to visit a friend he recently spoke to on Facebook. Immediately he arrived at the agreed spot, he was suddenly surrounded by some youth.

He was then taken out of his car, stripped and beaten to a pulp. The police in Ejigbo division came to his rescue after the incident was reported.

According to eyewitnesses, the man was pressuring a resident of Ori-Oke area for intercourse and promised to pay him in dollars.

Unak78:
I think he's trying to say that there aren't 10 developed local areas or even one outside of Lagos. Debatable, however it bothers me that almost all current investment, including private investment, is directed towards Lagos when the country needs more regional economic hubs. Part of the reason that Lagos is overrun and overpopulated is this mentality. If more investment could be directed towards Aba, Port Harcourt, Kaduna, Maiduguri, Jos, Ibadan etc you would see more growth across the country and fewer people running to one single city. Some of this is out of anyone's hands since you cannot force private investors to go where they don't see a return on investment. But you can invest government funds in different regions in order to make those regions more attractive so that the private sector can finish the job. Look at what China did by with their regional economic zones. It could be said that there were only three economic hubs in that country twenty years ago and two of them weren't even technically part of China. Now Hong Kong will have to soon fight just to remain among China's top ten investment destinations. I like the project in Eko Atlantic, for example, but a similar project elsewhere would help Nigeria more.

At any rate, I'm glad that the OP is proud of his state, but how about wishing for the country's growth, the uplifting of a nation that can be an example for all of Africa. It would not only aid Nigeria, but ease the congestion in Lagos as well.
I wouldn't blame investors though. If I was one, I'd run to Lagos where it happens before thinking of spreading my tentacles to other parts. I don't agree with you on Maiduguri though. No sane investor would want to plant his money in an area where unrest rules the day.

Then again, blame the governors of some of these states. There are certain things investors would want to consider before choosing a place. Most states have horrible road networks. Of all states that I've been to, Enugu's is second to none. Osun, Abia, Delta, among other states have bad roads which an investor would consider a huge turn off. Why? Because the governors of the states delight in engaging in frivolities rather than develop what matters the most.

Politics › Re: 7 Reasons We Believe French Diplomat Is Dreaming - IPOB by Sanchez01(op): 2:19pm On Mar 15, 2017
7. For all intents and purposes, France is a conspirator with Britain to effect as quickly as possible the extermination of Biafrans because France once highly regarded when it comes to foreign policy and fundamental human rights of people during the era of President Charles Degaul have degenerated into an era of visionless diplomats whose ultimate goal is to plunder the resources of poorer countries for their personal benefits and not even for the French.
This group is not helping the people they claim to represent. Conspiracy theories don't work when you're mapping out plans to secede. You cannot be making allegations against the world while claim everyone hates you and what you stand for.
Politics › 7 Reasons We Believe French Diplomat Is Dreaming - IPOB by Sanchez01(op): 2:12pm On Mar 15, 2017
The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has said that the French Ambassador to Nigeria Denys Gauer is dreaming over his comment about Biafra agitation.

The group also said that the ambassador lacked knowledge of his host country and needed to refer to his history.

Gauer had on Monday, March 13, told Guardian Newspaper that there is no future for Biafra despite its agitation.

He said the French government will not support any individual or group seeking the secession of any part of Nigeria.

He also said that France was working with the country in its fight against insurgency, adding that the fight against insurgency had brought Nigeria and France together, more than before.

But in its reaction to Gauer's comment, the IPOB said the French ambassador is dreaming.

The group while it disagrees with Gauer's statement, the ambassador is partially correctly because, "Biafrans have no future in the zoo called Nigeria, but we have future outside Nigeria. This statement you made is indicative of the Imperialist and philosophical principles the so-called Western world have towards Africans in general."

The IPOB also said the Biafra agitators have always respected and maintained good relationship with France.

The group said not withstanding the country's decision, the freedom of Biafra is the responsibility of its supporters.

"We did not count on you when we started and will not count on you when you declare us your enemy," IPOB said.

Below are 7 reasons IPOB gave to support its claim that the French ambassador is dreaming:

1. What right do you have to enforce slavery and genocide against African countries by encouraging their killing of one another?

The issue of BIAFRA did not start today, and in case you are not up to date with a number of crimes committed by a government on a particular race of BIAFRANS OF (EASTERN NIGERIA), from 1914 up to March 2017. Please go back and do your research.

2. As an Ambassador you should know the history of the country you are assigned.
If as a human being with conscience and you watched and learned about the 1967-70 genocidal war by your host country where over three million innocent women and children where starved to death, not including the ones shot and indiscriminately bombed at open markets, schools and makeshift hospitals, you should be extremely guarded and be able to to have a way out in event your declaration was a mistake.

3. Your support for Nigeria to fight Boko Haram is within the absolute right of the French government.

If you like sell them your Mirage planes, missiles, and pan hard, we the Biafrans have no say. You blindly and foolishly support the Nigerian military that in turn feed the Boko Haram you think you are fighting the Nigerian military, in turn, gives those arms back to Boko Haram.

This is not the first nor will it be the last of your failed foreign policies. You were paying the price when you went to the Iraqi war, and today you are back at it again. The same thing will happen to you in Nigeria, and it will be very very costly to your country.

4. What is the correlation between Boko Haram insurgency in the Muslim North and their destined policy with the federal government of Nigeria to wipe off all Biafrans and take over their land as it relates to we Biafrans who are trying to avoid being exterminated by the Government you are supporting.

5. You have continued to keep mute with regard to NIGERIA'S violation of all sorts of United Nations rules, even the Amnesty International report. You are supporting any British blunder even when you could have carried out respectable principles.

Your covert support for a genocidist Mohammad Buhari who committed more crimes than Saddam Hussain, Idi Amin or even Milosovich of the Yugoslavia raises more questions than answers as to the genuineness of the United Nations, it's composition as well as equitable and impartial application and enforcement of it's rules.

6. Your pronounced support for a genocidal and criminal gives credence to NIGERIA'S military denial of it's genocidal acts against Biafrans even with undeniable and irrefutable videos.

Your support bolsters Nigeria's courage to abuse your own agency The Amnesty International because Britain and France are completely behind their atrocities. Your revelation is a blessing in disguise. Now we know why Nigeria is doing what it is doing and the powers behind it.

If your miscarriage of principles is a pay back to Nigeria for giving you part of BIAFRA as part of war loot and booty, you would have avoided taking a wrong and shortsighted course.
