Did FG ask Dangote to refine some litres of fuel first before he got govt backing to build refinery? Govt should always support critical sectors, that's how countries grow not by begging.
By 'support' you mean dashed free money or break excessive protocols for one's sake then return to start selling those things at a more expensive rate than those that are imported?

Innoson is not a serious businessman. I see him as one who is political and tries to create unfavourable situations for himself by making comments that fly above one's head.

He reportedly donated N2.5bn but he's looking for N4bn? I don't understand.

It took me a long while to know Lemar is a Nigerian.

Time to Grow remains his biggest hit. One of the many heartbreak songs that prepares your mind for what is ahead.

Where do I go?
What do I do?
I can't deny I still feel something,
And girl I wish
You could say you feel the same.
You've broken the bond,
I gotta move on
How do I help this lonely feeling?
You're gone, I'm here, alone...
I guess it's time to grow.

Happy Birthday, Lemar Obika!

Time to grow
Wait forever
It's not that easy
Dance
Someone should tell you
What about love?
Someday we'll be together.

Good songs are going extinct sha.

Foolish kids on here keep gagging on the white man's balls while they think of you as nothing but Guinea pigs. They want to test vaccines first on you to be sure it's safe before they use it on themselves.

Mental slavery is real. Free yourselfs.

Also for the government officials including the presidency that has refused to develop your nation, packing all of nigeria's money in foreign banks; they think of you as nothing but senseless baboons. You all should be ashamed!!!
Unfortunately, your parents wasted your tuition fees, I'm sure. In plain words, you are the foolish one so far.

Two French doctors exhibited normalised racism against Africans, you posted the piece but didn't realise it and thought our government is running to them.

For the record, what those French doctor implied is that Africans are Guinea Pigs.

France currently has 82,165 COVID-19 cases with over 6,507 deaths recorded so far and rather than the doctors suggest that they start with them, they needed to be sure the vaccines are working by sampling them on lab rats - YOU!

They readily ignore the fact Africa present has the lowest death cases of COVID-19 across the world but still feel the the need to see whether or not this vaccine works.

This isn't about the Nigerian government. Eto'o, Drogba, Demba Ba and other African players that are non Nigerians are reacting to the call of the two doctors. Egyptians, Algerians, Morrocans and other Africans have been reacting since yesterday across social media platforms, the first I have ever seen.

You should speak against this if you aren't a lab rat but you can't because you are likely one or uneducated enough to read the message clearly and would rather blame your government over the comment of your white superiors.

Please understand what you post before commenting. It is embarrassing.

Pfizer did this same thing in Kano in 1996, when they tested trovafloxacin in the wake of an epidemic.

It best explains why countries with high cancer, heart, lung, kidney and other body part ailments keep recording high mortality rate.

Lol. You people shouldn't abuse the word 'clearance'. I have seen people use the words 'clearance rent' and thought they were joking but seeing yours, I couldn't help but wonder if you are joking or serious.

For the record, there is no such as 'clearance rent'. The best you can get out any rent deal is to get a subleted apartment which, in most cases, boomerangs.

You shouldn't expect a landlord to let out his apartments on a 'gbanjo' level or know someone who claims to know a landlord who does. Never has it been heard in the history of Lagos State.

Sapiosexuality:
Now I see why the WHO warned the African case could be worse. Just factor in the constants. We are not a very rich people and isolation will only allow hunger to kill us. But when the human is pushed to extremes, he acts and that will imply the disobedience of the lockdown and more infections.

Then the test kits. If we can acquire the new five minutes test kits then we have a chance. This 100 tests per day is far behind. The infection is on a geometric progressiion and tests are in arithmetic numbers. We can't catch up and knowing our leaders for what they are, we are doomed.

The best way of fighting a thing when you lack capacity is by making sure you never fight it. Closing the borders earlier and stopping all international flights would have been the key but now we've lost that window. This could have been the last stroke on the camel's back but even if we survive, I doubt we'd learn from it.

Then there is the stubbornness of the masses. There is no strict adherence to the wearing of facemasks and hand gloves. These soldiers blocking our streets should also look into that and not just their usual barbaric bullying of the masses. Unfortunately, even the officers enforcing the lockdown wear no facemasks. Smh. This could be the end.
Israel, America and Germany are 'worst hit' than Nigeria but they keep evacuating their people from Nigeria at the speed of light. Isn't that enough to tell us their government understands something about our government?

Even in the midst of rapid spreading virus, this administration of propaganda and praise singers keep burying the truth and clutching to air in a bid to protecting the president.

Isn't it shameful that the spread of COVID-19 started from the elites proper rather than amongst the masses?

There is a supposed stay a home, yet the people gather in hundreds when receiving bread Agege as palliatives.

I went out for an early morning jug and strayed towards Ikorodu Road this morning, around Ketu. People had started moving around like nothing is happening.

So much for handling.

Your points re too watery , it is on record that WHO commend Nigeria for fight against covid19.
While nigeria airports where checking temprature, with hand sanitizers on ground.
America ,italy , spain didnt hang a towel to sensitise people at their airports ,and there were not checking temperature of passengers as well.
After the virus have successfully spread all over they closed their border. Today they re the worst hit

Did trump daily address stop the spread of covid 19?
Covick19 blablabla
WHO commended us because the cases were underreported or we hung thermal scanners at the airport?

Is it surprising that the numbers of Nigeria keeps leaping right now with over 13 new cases daily? And note that these are only a fraction of people who actually had the opportunity to be tested.

Trump, like our President is responsible for the way Americans are affected by the virus. He referred to COVID as COVID-19 as a hoax and laid back until cases started coming up in the United States.

His address was late like the of our own president because it was an attempt at saving face. Buhari on the other hand, didn't allay fears until 25 days after the index case.

Why the United States is one of the worst hit is because of the mishandling of Trump, something Buhari is equally doing.

Politics › Rejoinder: Has Buhari/FG Actually Mishandled COVID-19 Pandemic? by Sanchez01(op): 10:24pm On Apr 01, 2020
Inability to make decisions is one of the principal reasons executives fail. Deficiency in decision-making ranks much higher than lack of specific knowledge or technical know-how as an indicator of leadership failure.
- John C. Maxwell, American author, speaker, and pastor.

I read with utter disbelief how Passingshot, in his post titled Has Buhari/FG Actually Mishandled COVID-19 Pandemic? struggled to defend the Buhari-led regime, particularly in the way the latter better handled the COVID-19 pandemic in Nigeria, with the United Kingdom as the case study.

His points, according to him, were 'facts' and an attempt at highlighting the 'many good deeds' of the FG amidst the many errors it has made and continually makes in curbing the spread of the coronavirus in Nigeria, among Nigerians. In a bit to carefully counter all of his points, I will patiently quote them and do justice to them, with clearer facts.

1. Measures taken by the Nigerian Govt before a COVID case was discovered in Nigeria: Long before the pandemic found its way into Nigeria, the FG embarked on monitoring body temperature of people flying into the country to be able to discover who may have shown any signs of the disease. By this time and despite that the disease was at their shores, USA, UK, Iran and many other “saner clime” countries were not even taking this measure. Dr. joe Abah did a thread on it and the World Health Organization commended Nigeria for this measure and going as far as using Nigeria as an example of how countries should respond to the pandemic. Read https://twitter.com/drjoeabah/status/1233989553008119809?lang=en for Dr. Joe’s Twitter thread and https://guardian.ng/news/coronavirus-who-commends-fgs-effort-on-response/ for WHO’s commendation.
The FG failed from inception at handling COVID-19. As a matter of fact, the way Nigeria failed at handling the virus is similar to the case of someone who was given free answers to exam questions but ended up failing. The below timeline of events sheds more light on the failure of the FG.

A. February 28, 2019 - Nigeria confirms its first COVID-19 case.
B. March 17, 2020 - President, Nigeria Medical Association, NMA, Dr. Francis Faduyile, called on the federal government to close border against countries with high cases of coronavirus.
C. March 19, 2020 - One of Buhari's daughters returns from the UK and self isolates
D. March 20, 2020 - Nigeria Shuts 3 International Airports To Foreign Flights
E. March 21, 2020 - Atiku's son tested positive for COVID-19
F. March 24, 2020 - Abba Kyari tested positive for COVID-19

G. March 17, 2020 - We Are Not Stopping Chinese, Italians, Other visitors from countries where coronavirus continues to spread rapidly
H. March 23, 2020 - Buhari addresses Nigerians on COVID-19

Nigeria had a clear headstart to shut its international airports, land borders (again) and brace itself in February when the virus first berthed in Africa. On Valentine's day, Egypt reported its first case while France recorded Europe's first death, same day. The airports supposedly had thermal scanners that didn't pick up a carrier until he got sick at Lafarge's site, in Ogun State. This was 14 days after Egypt's case. Unsurprisingly, The president never addressed the nation until almost a month after we have had three cases.

25 days after the first case, President Buhari referred to COVID-19 as 'Covik one-nine virus', an indication that he is neither abreast of the pandemic ravaging the world nor have an idea that Nigeria was managing infected persons with the virus at the time.

If it could take the president of a nation 25 days to address a viral outbreak in his country, then there is no contesting that he mishandled the COVID-19 pandemic.

2. Number of cases recorded in Nigeria versus that of UK or any other “saner country”: As at the time of writing this article (01/04/2010 @12 noon Naija time), the UK has 25,150 confirmed cases and 1,789 deaths; the USA has 188,639 cases and 4,059 deaths; Iran has 47,593 cases and 3,036 deaths, Italy has 105,792 cases and 12,428 deaths while many other “saner countries” have similar gloomy numbers to show for their efforts. Nigeria on the other hand has recorded 139 cases and 2 deaths. I expect some readers to jump on the fact that Nigeria is not testing as much as the mentioned countries, but the fact remains that while that may be responsible for the low number of confirmed cases, it couldn’t have been responsible for low number of deaths. Not carrying out enough testing would not have prevented people from being struck down by the disease or people dying as a result of it.
Passingshot's comment here is disturbing for many reasons; Nigeria is short on testing kits and we know for a fact that Nigerians currently are undertested. The few who have managed to confirm that they are positive, though asymptomatic, are the elites, and high ranking personalities. Abba Kyari reportedly showed symptoms because he has underlying conditions. The governors who have confirmed that they tested positive have all claimed they are asymptomatic and are fine. Davido said the same of Chioma, Boris Johnson said the same.

That Nigeria reportedly has less than 200 confirmed cases isn't because Buhari or the FG are working. As a matter of fact, there are so many infected Nigerians who carry the virus already but are asymptomatic. How do I know this? The jumping figures are an indication. Why there are high cases of infected persons in 'functional countries' is because these guys have switched to rapid testing and not the N10,000 per day method of our government, which leaves only a few priveleged and carriers damned to return after or within 14 days when their conditions have graduated.

3. Another indication that Nigeria’s govt is doing her best in containing the spread of the virus can be seen when one compares the time the country’s first case was discovered to when those of the “saner countries” were discovered and juxtapose with the number of confirmed cases and deaths. Italy had her first case around January 31st, 2020 (two months ago), Spain had its first on Feb. 1st and Italy had it on Feb 21st which was only four days earlier than when Nigeria had hers on Feb 25th. Compare the number of deaths/confirmed cases of these countries and see if you have not been unreasonable in your criticism of the government.
Wrong! An indication that the Nigerian government is doing her best or otherwise is by noting that it took the president 25 whole days in addressing Nigerians and allaying their fears after the index case was reported.

Perhaps Passingshot wouldn't be juxtapositing 'conveniently if the NCDC can provide the data of the number of people tested so far. An indication that Nigerians are undertested is seen below:

1. The global standard of reporting the COVID-19 is

Number Tested: xxxxx
Number of Confirmed Cases xxxxx
Number of Active Cases xxxxx
Number of cases resolved xxxxx
Number of deaths xxxxx

NOTE: The number of tested people is not reported in the NCDC's daily data to hide their incompetencies and the fact that less than 15 people are tested daily.

2. The FG and the NCDC are reportedly looking for over 6,000 contacts in Abuja and Lagos alone and have 'confessed' that they have only been able to test a miserly 2,000 people since the virus berthed in Nigeria. JUST 2000 people!!!!!!!

3. A World Health Organisation (WHO) report indicated that as of March 22, 2020, Nigeria has tested only 152 persons with a record of (40 positive which represents 26%) while South Africa tested 15,500 with about (702 cases representing 5%). Extrapolating these numbers, you would agree with me that if 15,500 patients were tested in Nigeria just like it is in South Africa, the number would conservatively be between 2-3% or 300 - 450 minimum.

11 Take Home Points

1. Nigeria had the advantage and could have shut its international airport since February but didn't, not even when Egypt became the first African country to confirm the COVID-19 case in Africa.
2. 14 days after Egypt confirmed its first case, an Italian moved undetected at our airport, becoming the index victim of the COVID-19 in Nigeria.
3. The said Italian infected one of its contacts who were asymptomatic.
4. Buhari and the FG were warned by the President of the Nigeria Medical Association on March 17, 2020.
5. Same 17th of March, the FG stated that it had no plans on stopping foreigners from hot zones from visiting Nigeria and no plans on shutting our doors against them.
6. Two days later (March 19), Atiku's son tested positive.
7. Buhari's daughter arrives from the UK on March 19.
8. A day after his daughter arrived Nigeria, Buhari directed that international airports be shut down, other than Lagos' and Abuja's (March 20)
9. 25 days later after the third case (Atiku's son), President Buhari summoned the strength to address Nigerians after public outcry (March 23).
10. Five days later (March 24) after Atiku's son, Abba Kyari tested positive for coronavirus.
11. Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed tested positive on March 24 as well.

Questions to be asked

1. If Buhari/FG was/were handling the pandemic well, why was Abba Kyari transferred to Lagos, all the way from Abuja to be treated?
2. FG claims to have the 'database' of 11 million Nigerians when we all know this is totally untrue. We don't keep records, we have no database and most Nigerians have not collected their National ID card.
3. Buhari and the FG never considered the poor and handicapped before enforcing a lockdown. If he did, why are they asking that marketplaces would be in operation from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM?
4. Will a 14-day lockdown that allows people to still gather in marketplaces still be effective in purging the virus? Is the sudden change in decision by the FG not a sign that the government is bereft of ideas? Is this still considered a lockdown?
5. Why has the FG not reported any procurement this period when our entrepreneurs keep donating to combat the situation?

Except we want to sugarcoat our present situation, the FG has failed and has shown that it has no ideas on how to curb the virus among Nigerians. A government that wakes up one night to enforce a 14-day lockdown, only to wake up again from a nap to subtly reverse its decision is an indication that the FG is not in control of the situation.

It's a disease. Nobody thinks or feels or cares any more; nobody gets excited or believes in anything except their own comfortable little God damn mediocrity.

For Port Harcourt, specifically, I have no doubt that you'll get one quickly. I used to know a logistics/dispatch company while I was in Enugu, Ogui Road, around the Stadium area is where they are situated.

Simple. Engage the services of dispatch riders. It won't be wise to employ them fully. Just get some around you, reach an agreement on the amount they'll charge per delivery and call on them when you have a delivery to make.

Note that those dispatch riders are more professional than each other and it would be wiser to liaise with a proper dispatch rider organisation. This way, they don't appear unprofessional and frustrate your business.

Ensure you get a woo commerce website that wouldn't be a headache and learn from websites who are already in this, that way, you won't miss out in any supposed feature.

I saw both videos and it is is not out of place for SR to report them like the only media outfit with a spine that they they are.

CATE, through the Nigerian Army and the COAS have always had tons of issues with SR. There was the issue of Buratai's luxury home in Dubai, coupled with a foreign bank account.

Plus, Gabriel Onoja has always been a clown. He was the one who bragged months ago that Buhari's presence means the end for Shekau, yet the former has been growing, leaps and bounds. The disappointing part is that he is ALWAYS partisan and barely sits down to think before spewing trash.

Sowore and his outfit has no fault here and he has shown that he is capable of daring even the devil himself. If military videos leak and SR report them, it is not to be addressed or described as terrorism, bullying or encouraging mutiny amongst soldiers at the fore.

Kudos to the gallant soldiers taking the hit daily that we might sleep despite the heavy corruption in the army.

Buhari
El Rufai
Babangida
Buratai

And other Northern politicians bankrolling the activities of Boko Haram...the profits won't go on forever and the Shari'a dream won't happen in every part of Nigeria. Karma is waiting by the corner to serve your households and families one by one.

Buhari and his band of cronies who keep frustrating innocent, naive soldiers by rehabilitating and releasing captured Boko Haram members to the wild like some recycled paper should know that they can be at it forever. It is a shame that Buratai thought to use CATE to save face rather than issue a warning via the Nigerian Army.

You say allegedly but with a touch of confidence.
Oga say what you are sure of!
I used that word because there have been several reports on the true owner of Globacom over the years.

TELL magazine did an exposé on the relationship between Mike Adenuga and Ibrahim Babaginda over 15 years ago and even went as far as establishing the relationship between them.

Tell wasn't the only print that beamed its light on this. That of Alakija was also written.

If I used the word 'alleged', I was only being diplomatic because Babaginda owns several businesses across Nigeria and uses some so called faithfuls around him to front these business.

What I'm sure of is Mike Adenuga isn't the outright owner of Globacom but Babaginda. If you have contrary ideas, bring them forward while I put links to these publications.

Adenuga's initial source of wealth amongstamy other things isn't alien to most people. I wonder why you think this is some abstract idea.
