observanc1:"IT SHOULD EFFORTLESSLY GO TO REAL MADRID" is not a prediction. I made the post immediately after City was named the winner of the category. |
Snapchat:You're defending Messi with your housefly-like fleeting life and you're referring to someone else as a fanboy? Who's your dealer? |
observanc1:I'm aware, streaming live. |
Club of the year should effortlessly go to Real Madrid. |
Snapchat:What are tap ins? What's with this salty tears? Were you old enough to see Ruud van Nistelrooy play. Ronaldo was very much in form and primed up until he left Real Madrid. |
De Bruyne ranking above Modric is ridiculous. No one De Bruyne had a better previous season than Modric. |
A perfect way to publicly launder money without incurring the wrath of anti-graft agencies. This and charity donations. |
The poor guy should just focus on his kids and start nursing the idea of getting a proper distraction via a new relationship. It is bad enough that you guys are apart. Cutting your husband off over some minor ish and ignored him for 9 weeks (2 months and a week) also points to the fact that you are either hardened or have found your own distraction. It doesn't stop there, you are more concerned at the fact that he has not been attending to your family issues. He is a husband, not Jesus Christ. Nine weeks is more than enough for anyone to unlove and lose interest, particularly in LDRs. If he feels he can't find solace in you, he'll conveniently set you aside and cherish his peace. |
Maynman:And who gives a flying fvck about your opinion and research of the world? |
ednut1:What is this reasoning? Nigeria is grossly underdeveloped and most people take pride in the fact that they have relations abroad as a way of saying "in a way, I have rich family members abroad". It has nothing to do with skin colour, whites or blacks. Travelling abroad for Nigerians is like the highest prayer points answered. If the Nigerian system was working, it wouldn't matter if your relations were in Mars or Pluto. |
As usual. It has started ![]() |

Ishilove:I honestly don’t agree. The character of the devil himself outside of cartoon is far more terrible than what any cartoon would depict. Perhaps, I would have thought in the same direction if I hadn’t set eyes on the animation in itself but every Christian home very well understands that the Lucifer is a terrible creature and outside of an animation, I doubt anyone would say “let’s take a breather on this guy, he is not half as bad as what people claim.” Not sure there is any manipulation or subliminal message in the animation. Yes, it is graphic, it doesn’t even exactly pull you in and the devil in itself, though funny, isn’t nice. He has gone ahead to force demons into vows he decided not to honour them, by telling them he deceived them. I understand that anything with the “devil” is meant to cause outrage but on the list of animations that I consider to be terrible even for adults, it is not even on the top ten. The animation isn’t exactly the story of the devil, and it doesn’t have close ties with the writings cum texts in Revelation. If it did, I’d say they are silently rewriting the devil’s fall to appeal to people. Outside of animations, there are series about witches and the devil that get right down into business to portray the devil as a one betrayed by God Himself. “Salem” is one of them and even the witches raised alarm after the devil himself walked among them and served them breakfast. I’d naturally be worried about such series of animations if they are rated for general viewership. YouTubers are YouTubers for a reasons and like bloggers, they ride or sensational ideas to do the things they do. I doubt any Christian parents would be crazy enough to see “Little Demon” and them convince themselves that Satan isn’t bad or ‘that bad’. I doubt it. |
The series has been running for weeks now and in all fairness, its target audience are not kids. Before logging on to your Disney+ subscription, you’ll always be asked to enter your 4 digit PIN and you can always set up a different account for kids on your subscription. Hulu, Peacock, Disney+ all have these feature. And yes, I have seen the series. It is very graphic in that breasts and pubic hairs are shown. As a matter of fact, the main character’s mum stuck some things in her vagina in an attempt at creating a portal. Family Guy is still on Hulu and so are some adult cartoons. Just because it is on Disney+ doesn’t mean it is shown to all. Careless parents might themselves to blame, not Disney. For the record, the show is about a woman who had a relationship with the devil, birthed ‘anti christ’, a young girl who knew she had powers and her mother kept changing her school, their home almost every time just because she didn’t want the devil to meet his daughter. The character of the devil is even hilarious to begin with. |
English clubs are grossly overrated. You always see their average players and mindset in the Champions League every season. A streak of 5-10 wins and you'll see their media and fans claiming they can dwarf any team, only for them to all cave in when they meet other teams in the UCL. |

ogakamwu:By law, a 22-year old is an adult but I personally wouldn't recommend getting married to one. Early and mid 20's ladies are mostly disasters waiting to happen when it comes to the institution called marriage. |
Interesting that NOT ONE APC/TINUBU fanboy/fangirl has addressed any of the claims and my responses to them. Issokay. |
oyin44:Not everyone studied accounting. There are diverse courses in universities and I sure as hell didn't study accounting or come close just so I know what a "revenue base" is about. That said, what was and IS the major revenue source of Lagos and how did Tinubu create the opportunity? ![]() |
oyin44:So it is no longer about increasing Lagos' IGR but "revenue base". If it isn't about tax collection, then what is it about? What was and IS the major revenue source of Lagos? |
Jones4190:Not like you're worthy of a response but you need to have a closer look at the mirror and see if common sense can emanate from the ball on your neck. Adios! |
Elections are elections for a reason and everyone tries to sell their candidates and possibly outsell others while at it. But the truth is that anyone with an atom of truth in their heart would understand that Tinubu never did jack in Lagos. His supporters claim he did and affected national politics but the thread is to counter the claims of his supporters. Claim 1: "Asiwaju developed Lagos and also developed the blueprint for Lagos" The truth: This is false in its entirety. Lagos was already developed LONG BEFORE 1999. For the record, it was the former capital of Nigeria and was annexed as part of the British colony in 1862. Lagos was Lagos before Tinubu became the governor of the state and had EVERY NOTABLE PLACES such as the National Stadium, Surulere; National Arts Theatre, Iganmu; Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS), Third Mainland Bridge, CMS, etc., long before Tinubu ever dreamt of becoming the executive governor of Lagos State. So how exactly did Tinubu "develop" a former British colony and former capital of Nigeria? What projects did Tinubu execute and commission in Lagos? How did he "develop" the blueprint for Lagos and what exactly is his Lagos blueprint?? BRT ?PS: I have seen instances where APC and Tinubu sympathizers campaign with Fashola and Ambode's strides and achievements as Tinubu's, claiming he put them into power. Excuse me... Claim 2: "Tinubu is a visionary and knows how to pick the best people to lead (AKA Kingmaker)" The truth: Everything Tinubu has done when it comes to Godfatherism has never been in the interest of the people but to serve his very own ambition. First, this is a video of Senator Bucknor Akerele, a woman who served as former deputy governor of Lagos State under Tinubu. Here, she referred to the APC (Lagos) as a "Mafia Organization", serving the interest of one man (watch from 2:30). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cmV1bK5Ezqg To be fair, Tinubu has made people but how many of those he made genuinely transformed or impacted through leadership?? Tinubu's influence in the South West is insane and almost unbelievable. However, he fell out with Fashola just because Fashola had his ideal candidate while Tinubu had his (Ambode). In the end, Fashola ate the humble pie while Tinubu went on to impose the same Ambode in Lagos, but guess who still sent Ambode packing for not doing his bidding? The Godfather! Dapo Abiodun, the governor of Ogun State is one of the governors Tinubu bragged to have made, as well as his cousin, Adegboyega Isiaka Oyetola, the outgoing governor of Osun State. However, these two folks have been nothing short of terrible when it comes to leadership. What then happens to Tinubu's supposed insight in imposing the best hands to lead? How about Sanwo-Olu in Lagos who has been nothing short of a disappointment but has been freely handed a second term ticket just because he grovels at the feet of Tinubu and runs around Nigeria consulting with him? In the whole of Tinubu's ascension as a godfather, the only person who stood out was Fashola as governor of Lagos State. His achievements conveniently dwarfs that of Tinubu himself but other "made kings" across the length and breadth of the South West are nothing short of disappointment, and this includes Aregbesola and Rotimi Akeredolu who currently owe salaries like no man's business. How then does his kingmakership translate to result for the people? Claim 3: "Tinubu increased Lagos' IGR " The truth: Shettima was quick to brag with this the other day during the NBA summit but did Tinubu do anything differently? What exactly did he do to increase Lagos IGR? What developmental strides did he embark on to achieve this? None! He did what almost every governor does now and that is the collection of tax! Lagos already had everything needed for any state to be developed long before Tinubu became the governor of Lagos. As earlier mentioned, Lagos was a former British colony and former capital of Nigeria with seaport, airport, road networks, home to embassies, multinational hotels, trade and commerce and Marina was already home to multinational companies such as banks before Tinubu became governor. Anyone with half a brain would see the IGR in Lagos increase through tax almost immediately. So what exactly did Tinubu do differently? Lagos, from inception was positioned to be great and it didn't require much to achieve its greatness. How did Tinubu develop Lagos economically when it was already the melting pot and economic nerve center of Nigeria? I dare say Lagos would have been greater than what it already is if not for the invasive yet annoying godfatherism it suffers. Why? A sizeable amount of revenues generated from the same Lagos today all go to the pockets of one man through compulsory auditing, contracts and what not. No one sitting governor can fix or develop any part of Lagos without the consent of Tinubu. The last governor who defied Tinubu and focused on the development of Epe was robbed of a second term. We all knew what happened. An aside: The ONLY THING Tinubu did in Lagos was to set up a structure for the collection of tax, which was lacking during previous rules, both under military and democratic rule. Claim 4: "Tinubu did excellently well in Lagos" The truth: This isn't hard to deduce. What exactly did Tinubu do differently despite inheriting an almost fully developed Lagos with almost everything? How did he leave Lagos? What was the state of Oshodi at the time Tinubu left it? Take out every advantage Lagos had as an economic powerhouse before Tinubu came in and you'd realize Tinubu's administration was nothing short of chaotic and disappointing. Prior 1999, how was thuggery in Lagos and what was its state by the time Tinubu left office? What exactly can anyone point out to be Tinubu's legacy in Lagos? What foreign investments did Tinubu bring to Lagos? The answer is as clear as day because the structure for the economic development of Lagos was already in place. If Tinubu wants to take credit for Lagos for being a former British colony and former capital of Nigeria, then his supporters should point out the foreign investments he brought into Lagos. |
Obinoscopy:Let's not mince words, Obinoscopy, Tinubu is ill and several videos have pointed to this. His medical tours have also given credence to these claims. I am referring to videos where his hands shook vigorously while trying to turn sheets of papers during speeches. The fact that he coughed violently during an address and his hands trembled immediately after the cough. Issues of incontinence, not on one but at least two different occasions. To be fair, not even Atiku or Kwankwanso has behaved in this manner. And then there is also the uncomfortable stare and pauses that last over 15 seconds during speeches and no one was clapping in the first place. Second is his academic qualifications. I've heard him talk and he seems very academically sound. Even though his primary and secondary schooling appears to be an unsolved mystery, the fact remains that he is academically sound. Also his postgraduate degree seem to be verifiable. Attacking Tinubu's primary school is like attacking a Professor's primary school. So, let's all drop this primary school attacks. He is an almamater of a prestigious university and he is academically sound.Tinubu WAS sound, but not this very one. While he tries to make sense today, incoherence and deliberate completed sentences by people around when he talks also point to so many things. Tinubu is past his best and this has been exhibited severally. Which leads me to the attacks on the things he said in public. I think Tinubu is a deep thinker and speaks almost in parables/proverbs. So sometimes, it would seem what he is saying is unintelligible. But the reverse is the case. When he was talking about Corn and Agbado, he was simply referring to Agricultural Self Sustainability. When he talked about tongues from the Bible, he was referring to the Babylonian Tower where God made everyone speak in different tongues which is now responsible for human cultural/language diversity (Genesis 11:1 - 9).The corn and Agbado talk came after he talked about recruiting 50 million youths into the army (that is about 60% -70% of the youth population in Nigeria). There is nothing intelligent about drafting about 70% of the country's youth into the military, let alone feeding them corn and agbado all day long. I think you are inferring on the tongues. He clearly stated that "tongues was learnt from the Bible" then went ahead to make a cohesion allusion. So let's cut this man some slack on irrelevant things and attack him on issue based concerns. We should attack him on his policies, on his financial dealings, on his gubernatorial achievements/failures, etcI think taking him up on health grounds as well as recent statements that bother on his plans for the country and her youths are not in any way irrelevant. Years ago, I would have gladly supported his presidential bid but reading the current situation of Nigeria, there is no denying that Tinubu is way past his best. If he wins (God forbid), he would barely make impact on governance owing to his health and that would mean that Shettima, a man with ties to Boko Haram will lead Nigeria; worse, a man with zero regards for national cohesion and restructuring will lead over 200 million people. |
Almost election year and Tonye is back from the dead. The candidate to beat in the forthcoming election is Peter Obi. The masses are tired. Nigeria gets worse by the minute and there is no denying that Tinubu of all persons went from a contender to a pretender the moment he chose Shettima as his vice. Atiku will do quite well, without a doubt but not with the current angst resting in the youths. |
