who and who is Barca owing?.....only pique and Busquets are on suspended salaries
Frankie De Jong is being owed. One of the reasons he can't leave is that he might likely forfeit his owed amount if he signs elsewhere. That is why he is determined to see out his contract and have a legal backing to get his money. Unfortunately, Barca no longer wants him but signs players instead of have him paid off.

Messi is winning it this year
Messi or PSG can't win the Champions League. The club is a cheap imitation of Real Madrid's Galacticos era of 2000 - 2006. In this case, it is a congregation of old, unmotivated people, some of whom have won it all in their best years. More importantly, the influence and power of Mbappe in the team will be its very death. Just because they are scoring goals now at the Uber Eats Ligue 1 now doesn't mean anything. About three weeks ago, Mbappe walked off an attack just because he wasn't passed to while Neymar went on to bag a hattrick in the match. In the same match, Mbappe rammed Messi with Messi turning at him in shock. Mbappe responded with his achievements with PSG after the game when fans felt Neymar was better.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uXWfYLHXbZA

The bottom line is it is never in the DNA of PSG to win trophies, which is why a player as young as Mbappe is bigger than the club. Against a Real Madrid or Bayern Munich, PSG will crumble ten times over. They have quality players but never a team.

The 2022/23 UEFA Champions League group stage is set to take shape when the draw is held on Thursday, August 25.

Real Madrid won the competition last season after beating Liverpool 1-0 in the final. The two powerhouses could potentially be drawn against one another in the group stage given they will be placed in different pots.

Following the qualifying rounds that occurred over the summer, the new Champions League campaign officially kicks off with the group stage draw which will see 26 automatic entrants joined by the six teams that emerged from qualifying.

Prior to the draw, the 32 clubs are allocated into four pots based on different UEFA rankings as explained below. They will be drawn into eight groups each comprised of four teams.

Champions League teams and pots for group stage draw

Pot 1 will consist of the defending Champions League (Real Madrid) and Europa League (Eintracht Frankfurt) title winners, plus the reigning league champions of each of the top six nations as ranked by UEFA country coefficient list.

Since Real Madrid are the Spanish league champions (a top-six nation) as well as defending UEFA Champions League holders, the Pot 1 spot reserved for the Spanish champions is assigned to the next best nation in the coefficient list. In this case, the Netherlands and its reigning Eredivisie champion Ajax were elevated to Pot 1.

As for Pots 2, 3, and 4, those are based on the UEFA club coefficient list, which is a mathematical formula to evaluate a specific club's performance in domestic and continental competitions over the past five years.

Each club's UEFA club coefficient ranking is included for Pots 2-4 below since club seeding in those pots is based on the coefficient ranking.

Pot 1
Real Madrid (ESP, Champions League holders)
Eintracht Frankfurt (GER, Europa League holders)
Manchester City (ENG)
AC Milan (ITA)
Bayern München (GER)
Paris Saint-Germain (FRA)
Porto (POR)
Ajax (NED)

Pot 2
Liverpool (ENG)
Chelsea (ENG)
Barcelona (ESP)
Juventus (ITA)
Atlético de Madrid (ESP)
Sevilla (ESP)
Leipzig (GER)
Tottenham Hotspur (ENG)

Pot 3
Borussia Dortmund (GER)
Salzburg (AUT)
Shakhtar Donetsk (UKR)
Inter (ITA)
Napoli (ITA)
Benfica (POR)
Sporting CP (POR)
Bayer Leverkusen (GER)

Pot 4
Rangers (SCO)
Dinamo (CRO)
Marseille (FRA)

The terrible mindset of most Nigerians is shocking to me, I must confess. He made $40 tonight from the fight. How much would he pay in taxes? He is without any belt or title now. You think anyone would pay him $40 million again after today? I think you should spend some time away from Nairaland and see how boxers who fall off live and what becomes of them afterward.

Let’s take it easy with the criticism, he fought better than the first fight and found a lot of success but Usyk is just so good.
History won't remember how he fought, only how he was beaten. Since his fight with Klitschko, he has gotten too relaxed and fell off. He was too concerned about losing his titles that he took on worn out boxers while running from Wilder and Fury. Complacency got the best of him.

Why won't they beat him? Dude isn't exactly a real boxer. His social media obsession is greater than anything. I doubt he trains and prepares for fights like he is supposed to. And the clown thinks he has a shot against someone like Tyson Fury.

This is the problem with you Igbos. You disrespect everyone at every turn to push your narrative. Your own Igbo priest, Mbaka is running riot against Peter Obi, a fellow Igbo man but you left all the Igbo pastors and priests to attack Pastor Adeboye. Your ragtag Ohaneze has looked on while Afenifere is throwing their weight behind Peter Obi. Obasanjo is canvassing for the candidature of Peter Obi but Ike Ekweremadu and every South East politician continue to pledge support for both Tinubu and Atiku.

I'll tell you what, most Yoruba folks are liberal and would rather vote Peter Obi than Tinubu but this sickening, terrible mindset you all display towards other ethnic groups is why you see some Yoruba folks sticking with Tinubu rather than Peter Obi.

You're asking the most revered and influential pastor in Nigeria to throw his weight behind Peter Obi for your sake and your reference is Paul Enenche? The same Paul Enenche that called the DSS to arrest youths who wore clothes with captions against Buhari's government? You reference Oyedepo, a temperamental man who has always leaned towards the PDP.

Some of us would prefer to have Obi for 2023 but with the trend of events, Obi will most likely lose, all thanks to tribalistic and disrespectful comments towards elders of other ethnic groups. Just because you slide tackle your elders doesn't mean others do theirs the same way.

I pray you all don't use your foolishness in blowing up whatever chances Obi has in 2023. If everyone decides to vote on tribal grounds, PO won't even come third but continue.

Good question. Vote Tinubu/Shettima for a better Nigeria.
You malign Peter Obi to sell Shettima, a staunch bigot with strong ties to Boko Haram and Tinubu, a man suffering from whatever illness who gracefully embody corruption, rot and everything wrong with Nigeria.

babaolofin:
It is not popularity waning. Most of the people keeping vigil at Ekiti and Osun elections are IBOs that don't know anything about South West politics.

In Anambra election, did you see anybody from South West or North keeping vigil?

In presidential election, 80% of the votes from Ede will go to Tinubu. There is a political dichotomy in South West from Awolowo / Akintola era and UPN / NPN era. They know where votes come and where manipulation is easy.

EDE votes, Senator Raji Ayoola Adeleke , the father of Ademola Adeleke (Davido Grandfather) was a politician in Awolowo era. Isiaka Adeleke was a governor and Senator. Ademola disgraced Aregbesola in Senatorial election to replaced his elder brother. They have perfected the acts of high votes in that area for long.

Bola Ige in his days would have used Ijesha votes to counter the EDE GAME. It is a game. Now, Wole Oke and Senator Fadahunsi and few others have destroyed what would have countered Ede game at Ijesha area. Oshogbo and Ede are very close to each other.

At Presidential election, there would be no internal politics. Aregbesola created problems for APC by not allowing Ademola to replace Isiaka Adeleke because he failed to realise he is nobody, Isiaka Adeleke even in death is more than him. That was the beginning of this crises.
I'm sorry but this has got to be one of the most ridiculous and foolish statements ever made by anyone on nairaland, factoring in the emboldened. WHAT HAS IGBO PEOPLE GOT TO DO WITH THE DISCOURSE? Where is the proof that awakened electorates are Igbo people in the South West? How does the actions of informed electorates affect Tinubu?

I full well know that Tinubu is a tribalist and so are most of his supporters but this, this is something. For the record, I didn't bother to read through your post because I doubt I'd be able to stand your thought process on political matters. You are clearly unaware of Osun's politics.

Politics › Re: 2022 Osun Governorship Election: INEC Official Results, Collation & Announcement by Sanchez01(m): 4:55am On Jul 17, 2022
babaolofin:
Aregbesola is nobody in Osun politics. Aregbesola never won PDP to become governor. Oyinlola got tired of Court case toward the end of his second tenure. Tinubu fought the Court battle for almost 3 years for Aregbesola to rule Osun.

Aregbesola is nobody in Osun Politics.

The only election he narrowly won was because of PDP forceful hijacking of power at Ekiti and Oyinlola and Isiaka Adeleke support. Isiaka Adeleke was a political juggernaut. Oyinlola is Atari Ajanaku. Aregbesola is nobody to these men in Osun Politics. They were the ones that saved Aregbesola in 2014.

Aregbesola cannot win Ijesha / Ife Senatorial election.

Ademola (Isiaka Adeleke in death) disgraced Aregbesola in the Senatorial election and in 2018 as incumbent governor. Adeleke family remained strong at Ede. If Adeleke had gone to APC, the same result would have been repeated.

Aregbesola or Adeoti cannot change Oshogbo voting pattern. A nairaland user (adexii) based at Ife has been giving me the situation on ground since Thursday but I disagreed with him. Now I agreed with him. All what he said about Ife and Ijesha land came to pass.

Aregbesola cannot win Senatorial election of Ijesha / Ife axis. Of what importance is he if he is not valuable at home after 8 years in office.
I am glad you said someone based in Ife is feeding you with information. I lived in Ife years ago when Omisore was at his best and the likes of Oyinlola were daily news. You can't take away Ede from the Adelekes over the years and it has always be so. Osun's voting pattern is dynamic but you see this current one? It is no coincidence that Aregbe left Nigeria this morning. Wards that were staunch APC wards were lost for the first time since APC took control of the state over 12 years ago or so. Even the incumbent lost the State House.

What marred Aregbe's influence was maladministration but one thing you can't take away from him is his grassroot sagacity. I mean, Omisore is neck deep in this election and acting out the will of the APC. Despite delivering Ife Central, does it not amuse you that in most of the LGs, Oyetola, an incumbent who is related to Tinubu and has Omisore working for him is losing for him on all sides.

Here is Aregbe a few days ago before this election:

Anyways, the man is here in the US and not in Germany. You might beat down his influence but the ones with the influence are being beaten like konga drums right now.
