Dear Nlander, i am a graduate of mechanical engineering(B.tech) and i came to Abuja to search for a job since march 2017. This is my 4th month and am still yet to find anything doing. i look so frustrated because i could not even raise money to learn a trade because i was to pay b/4 starting. please if anybody have a job to offer me or a company to refer me (even if its not engineering related, just to survive and build career), i will gladly appreciate.

4 months? Bro start learning a skill now or relocate to Lagos if you can. That was my wrong assessment of that unproductive place which took almost two years from me. Just forget job and start learning something or invest in something you can do. Jobs in Abuja are few and the available are for the rich. Move away from boring place or start something there. This is not a joke. Our paths are different though.

What some honesty would have prevented. Why use propaganda to fight a war? Even the US with all her propaganda machines, CNN, Fox News, MSNBC, etc, don't dare try it because they know they can't cover that up for long.

It sounds strange right? This is what I mean. The management of Npower have shown an alien competency and potential for success at all levels that have baffled me for months. They have encouraged a positive touch on the lives of our communities through personnel working at various sections of the community. They have made some of our graduates occupied with positivity and a sense of responsibility that have helped uplift their being and the society. They have created a quick response system where support is given and solutions executed or recommended at the shortest time possible. They have demystified what it means to be responsible and accountable in this part of the world. They have given hope to the people of Nigeria on the possibility of a change in the poor work ethic. Normally, this wouldn’t be seen as extraordinary but because I have seen impunity, among civil servants, walking with a swag on both feet; because here I have seen that people who have power can escape unhurt if they treat those whose needs led to their creation with disdain; because I have seen that impunity could be a Nigerian, I applaud them. So, I would like to share some thoughts on what could be learned from this scheme.

Rubbish, did they force you to work there, if the work is too tedious or time consuming, or they are insulting you there or the salary is not enough for you, why didn't you resign.......in the post he even said he thought that salary will be increased after confirmation, whereas it wasn't stated in the contract.....in the contract, you were told that you will work even on holidays and you agreed, there was no specified payment date in the contract, so agreeing to it meant you can be paid anytime.....the company hasn't done any wrong apart from when you were wrongly accused by the HR

So, failing to review someone's employment after agreeing you'd do that in 6 months is not wrong? Sleeping at the office and being denied your weekly allowance is not wrong? Receiving insults because you work at a place is not wrong? Extorting workers is not wrong?
