Well I get your point, but you need to underatand that even the EFCc doesnt even know the true amount in most of these cases because investigations are still ongoing and it would be wack for the efcc to start mentioning figures prematurely. You also need to remember that most of the figures which get to the public are usually from the overzealous press which tends to sensationalise things.

In the Dasuki case for instance, I dont remember the efcc or any one from efcc every saying dasuki stole 2.1 billion; from the little I understand of that case, that 2.1bn seems to be to total amount which went through Dasuki's office and not the amount stolen/misappropriated. For anyone who cared to pay attention or understand the facts, the real funds Dasuki was accused of misappropriating were the N100million to Mr A, N200million to Mr B, 4.5billion to sokoto ex gov (for prayers), 1 billion etc etc. Those were the real figures by EFcc, but guess what? humans hear only what they love to hear, hence why everyone preferred mentioning $2.1billion till date. Would you really blame the Efcc for the personal choices of people?

Similar case is now playing out with Diezani.. Efcc must have mentioned some hundreds of millions, even the US and UK investigators have mentioned confirmed figures as some hundreds of millions of dollars, but once again, people prefer to only hear what they want to hear. Hence the ridiculous story of $90bn from God knows where. Would you really blame efcc for that?

They still share in the blame. I demand the honesty Magu showed when asked in the Senate how much has been recovered. It's easier for fake news to trend when the bodies in charge keep people in the dark. With some level of honesty in government, these media houses will look for better stories to tell.

I don't really expect a response to every blogger but a public statement on what is true. Take the Dasuki case for example where 2.1 billion dollars was mentioned. The EFCC didn't really make deliberate effort to put the true story out to debunk the lies and reduce expectations because they loved and thought the public court will help in delivering justice. At least, that was what it seemed like.

When things like this happen, the institution and system suffers more. You know why? Because they(The EFCC) know the true state of things and that is what will be presented in court during the real democratic trial. And when the punishment doesn't equate what one would expect as penance for such stolen money, more people lose faith in both the judiciary and the EFCC. The system suffers.

We should be arguing how to stop that or how she stole that amount but the lies in the figures have made it difficult to concentrate on that. When you say a person stole 90 billion dollars you immediately shift how people handle it.

Nigerian budget is just estimations, not real figures. Not even the Accountant General of the Federation can effectively determine how much inflow Nigeria generates.

To me, it doesn't make any sense. I personally suspect Deziani to be a thief but I also know, from the figures reeled out, that certain persons and powers like Osun Defender she mentioned while still a Minister are after her. I strongly believe there is something she denied some persons that resulted in these media focus. If Abacha stole 30 Billion Dollars Nigeria would have crashed.

When I was still a corp member, a guy who served 3 years before me told me that Okonjo-Iweala stole 33 Trillion Naira. Lololol. Deziani could be a thief but no Nigerian, Dead or Alive ever stolen 90 billion dollars. No Nigerian, Dead or Alive, has stolen up to 30 Billon dollars. Some people can't reason. If you steal 30Billion Dollars, Nigeria will crash. And 90? Smh.

While it's not fair to threaten that soldier, the argument 'if the soldier shoots him now they'd start complaining' is a stupid argument. It is because we have lost sight of the roles of a soldier and how a human being ought to be treated.

When the coup happened in Turkey, the people went on the streets and tortured the soldiers. That was wrong. I saw some soldiers bleeding from so many blows and he raised up his hands to surrender. It was pitiable and unfair. But that is was it means to have a disciplined military.

Revenue Hits required a high traffic for their Rev conversion. I'd try to affiliates and see. But do these things work for Nigerian bloggers or just foreigners?
