What is search frequency? And GoDaddy appraisal below $2k is often not reliable. Worse if the extension is not dot com. As a newbie you don't start with names like these. Start with Geos.

Time will tell if you've wasted money. You don't ask after you've registered the name. You ask before you register the name. I don't think anyone cares about a newbies' names. Stop registering these sort of names. You will give up domaining easily.

If you paid for the training, ask your trainer before you register a name. If you didn't or he doesn't answer, bring it here. Don't rely on GoDaddy appraisal. I would have called it nonsense but it's not that clear-cut.

I'm pausing regging new domains currently. I regged a few so that while reading on Geos and a sale or an offer comes in, that could boost my morale and/or my pocket. Still trying to wrap my hands over expired domains but that hasn't been easy. 90% of the Geos I manually searched had been taken, but I'll continue. I'm devoting more time to geos now, there should be some progress.

If that's the case, okay. A domain training at 5k wouldn't cover mentorship and without mentorship you may be in a mess or give up. Better to pay someone 30-50k and be guided forever than to blow money on over 20 names while trying to save money.

Up to 9 for now. No Geo. Dan landing page. Emd and brandables still confuse me a bit. How do you classify metafundstransfer in XYZ? I don't think it's brandable, not emd too. And not geo. I only have one known emd in XYZ which I'm having real doubts if it would sell.

Red flags! Geos are safe ground for newbies. Because you can outbound it and even at that, many still look at it and ignore it. You can outbound emds too but you can't outbound a name like Meta Funds Transfer. Geos are domain names with regions attached to them. Eg. TexasLawyer dot com. Read about the others. Truth is, if you don't read about these things you will fail.

And if you don't know the difference between these three, what are you buying? How do you buy them? What do you look out for before you buy them?

You know my advice. Stick with Geo for now. Post the names here or send to someone who you can trust to have a look at it. And, whatever you are going to buy next, ask someone what they think about the name. I know newbies often think someone will steal their names if they show you before buying, but to me it's nonsense. No one who really knows this thing cares about your 'good' names.

You said you bought names on an Aftermarket, Dan. You can't buy a primary name on a secondary market like Dan or Afternic. It's impossible so you can allow his sarcasm. I hope you know the quality of name you bought though.
