Option 2. Hopee you are happy now?

I don't mean any harm. Frankly speaking, that's the primary drive of my response to you but many of us here twisted it the last time. I don't want anybody getting scammed here or offline. Money has powers.

In fact, it also works the other way round. Some of us try to avoid reporting here because of how some Nairalanders who know us offline respond after seeing our sales report here.

Money is powerful. Posting sales without name is not saying anything. And the fact that someone who really sells names in four figures doesn't understand that is scary. It is really scary. It is hard to understand. Or maybe it is easy to understand.

iCauseTrouble:
Oga shift. You and your bread-begging brother started this last week

Answer my question and leave this talk. An attitude like this suggests two options:

1. They are real and you want to boost your ego or morale, a certain high.
2. To attract Nairalanders to your inbox so you can scam them.

These are just my thoughts. Help me understand.

iCauseTrouble:
Even me sef dey laugh here. The fight come be like season film. We go enter day 3 tomorrow.

But what exactly is the point, really? Why post amount without names? What exactly does it achieve? Isn't this suggesting something fishy? Would it be wrong to assume this is a build-up to scam?

People find it hard to read. Seun, you need to do something about the quality of minds commenting here. Something aggressive.

Changed nameservers of my domain from Dan to afternic nameservers ns1.afternic.com and ns2.afternic.com but the afternic sale page "no gree show" it keeps bringing grey background what could be the cause please?

Use ns5 and 6

If dollar is causing all this, hope withdrawing dollar at the counter won't be a problem too? This govt want to kill us.

iCauseTrouble:
Yes. Replied with something similar to this yesterday. Asked him how much is the budget for the domain as the domain is currently listed for $2988.
Wehrey never reply since yesterday

Trying to draw sympathy. It's obvious it's a big team and na to ignore if him no talk again.

yerobiukini:
Hi fella,
I recently purchased a domain name... but I don't know how best to reach out to possible prospect who are majorly freelance copywriter. Can anyone suggest how I can reach out to them and what's your opinion on the domain?
Does it look promising and could be sold for at least $500?

Why did you buy the name? And is this handreg or a drop?

CapitalBank:
I outbound and they asked for the price. I replied $500 but negotiable and this is what they came with

awesomeduru or anyone with a good response should please chip in.

Don't say 'negotiable'. Let them think it through and make an offer. Saying that makes you appear desperate or cheap and they will price low or run.

Bonsujk:
Sold Le // gion // te// Ch in king

$2325

8 months hold

Good one. Now, this is what's up. And the fact that we know what name it is is good. Congrats.

dejive:
A marketplace to sell in case a user wants to buy domain at $50..Dan's minimum sales is $99.

Did you trying holding at $99? I mean did you tell them the marketplace cannot take below that and see their response? Or you are selling to another domainer?

Playermayweda:
Well to me when she was talking about the Russian-Ukranian conflict, she failed to elaborate on the donbass region of Ukraine

I get but it's not enough. I like it when they call out the bullshit of both sides. I think they do that enough.

Playermayweda:
WION news is starting to show signs of bias, airing baseless opinions instead of the full news, alas true journalism is dead

Not yet to me though. The opinions are balanced from what I'm still seeing.

For how much?

Watching RT makes me laugh. Most media exist for propaganda purposes but RT try to act as though they are different. It's laughable and almost like the hypocrisy of Fox News or Press TV.

Among the popular big boys, Al-Jazeera and TRT World seem to have a pretension of objectivity. In matters concerning Qatar and Turkey, respectively, that objectivity dies. Smh.

Still watching India's WION News (Gravitas Plus) to see how far they are willing to go. France24 is more objective than most. DW too is good but with more documentaries than news. RT is just an upgraded version of CNN.

It's good to watch them all and understand how and where they stand. RT is fun to watch. Their message: Russia is a saint and America is the devil, when it's obvious they are all hierarchies of evil.

Is it ideal to register a geo domain without previous history? Ever since I registered oakland/solar/energy/king, I have been outbounding yet to no avail. Most of the replies came through Facebook. It's either im not interested or not interested for now. Could it be because the name has no history. I didn't pick the name from ED.

Oakland is becoming a problem. Even with history, it seems that city is not worth it.

iCauseTrouble:
Having a job or other source of income is very important when investing in niches other than GEOs. I will always advice people with little funds and more time to start with GEOs while honing their skills in brandables or any other niche they are interested. You are almost guaranteed to break even with GEOs than Brandables if on a tight budget. Ikhalyfah and other GEOs experts have reported a STR of over 10% but such can't be said of brandable domains.

Yeah. It's more frustrating when one uses their little cash to invest in Geo, then go through the stress of sourcing for leads and outbounding, and still, end up with no sale. It breaks faster and it has made many leave domaining. That's why one without cash or a job should not just do any handreg because it worked for others. It's a gamble.

Gpexchange:
Guess everyone has a different thing that works for them... I check some I try to hand reg on ed first and notice they have been expired since 2020 or soemthing.....but I avoid handregging for now unless na better brandable name

Even a newbie has what works for him or her? Somebody with a pretension of knowledge has what works for them. That's gold. Good luck to newbies towing that path.

Gpexchange:
Lmao sapio

It's a choice though. I've sold three handreg since the new year but I'm not a newbie. I know why I regged them. A newbie doesn't. Even when I sold my second handreg as a newbie I was making an unnecessary gamble. It was plain dumb and I regged over ten after which didn't sell. Even today, I still handreg with standard metrics in sight but still nothing sold. But maybe it's a game of luck and 'what didn't work for me' will work for a newbie.

CornOak:
There's absolutely nothing wrong with handregging GEO or EMD domain names. What works for you might not work for others.

I know for a fact that a good percentage of domainers on this thread are cashing out big with handregged domains.

What you should point out is the quality of keywords, number of endusers, and the sellability of the names in general. Even with the overloaded metrics, many ED domains are still languishing in people's portfolios.

The bottom line is, do what works for you and let others do the same.

Cheers.

Stop handregging if you are a newbie. I did it and it worked but it was a silly risk.

Spiritualizt:
both

Stop handregging. Stop handregging. Stop handregging. Especially if you are a newbie or have no experience. Stop it. If you must handreg let it be for a brandable but that's if you know what a brandable is. And if you must pick from ED, let your ABY max be 2020. Stop handregging of any kind.

iCauseTrouble:
Hi guys, over the past few weeks, I have received several DMs from people here, asking me to teach them GEO domaining, how I get my leads, what time I send my mails, what type of mail I use and so on.
Let me state it here again for the umpteenth time that I don't do GEOs. Infact, the last time I bought a GEO domain was December 2019 and the last time I did outbound was early 2020. I failed woefully while I was still dealing with GEO domains and I didn't make up to 10 sales. This made me switch to brandables coupled with the fact that I have a 9 - 5 job.
All the sales I have reported from mid 2020 till now are all inbound. So please, don't come to my DM to ask me any GEO related question.
For brandables, we can always relate and reason together but I must say this, you need just 3 things to succeed in the niche as with any other business.
1. Knowledge: Till today, I visit this domaining thread and Namepros more than 5 times everyday just to update myself. Then I visit other blogs like DNGeek, Abdulbasit, brandableinsider once a while. Also, I follow some top domainers on twitter and I set alert for there posts.
2. Patience: I have sold 8 domains so far this year and 7 out of the domains are over a year. If I have dropped them when they expired, obviously, I won't have made those sales. Yes, you can't renew all your names but know your names very well and know the ones that are worth keeping even if it takes time to sell
3. Consistency: Ever since I started domaining, there has never been a day that I have not been involved in domaining activities. It's either I am buying domains, listing at marketplaces, editing prices, renewing, changing nameservers, or even reading domaining blogs and forums. Some people will say they started domaining and took 6 or 9 months break, things don't work like that even in normal business world.
Let me end on this note, success in domaining happens over time and not overnight. Just make sure you are doing the right thing and continue doing it even if it takes time for you to get result.
Thanks

This is good for those who cannot keep up with Geo and EMDs. Outbounding is stressful but pays. Having a job makes domaining easier.

Spiritualizt:
I tell you, I think the cause must have been not getting more quality names due to financial limitations, my portfolio size was also shrinking from 26 to about 12, I allowed many to drop because of the possibilities of not getting sales.

Hope it's ED over handreg?

chinaPay:
RaxBet/com
KadBet/com

house pls place a good price on these names

What is Rax or Kad? Do these companies already exist?

KingEverest:
guess only time will tell

Yeah. Let's see how it goes. I don't see how the endgame will help them though.

KingEverest:
Don't Putin and his war mongers this is not a mission to free ukraine but to occupy it so it doesn't matter if the remaining Ukrainians accept the new government or not, but Russia will gain from Ukraines mineral deposits

Are these minerals worth the loss that are already coming in financially and on the long run?

Let's leave out the conditions that led to the war or the current state of things. This is not about who is winning or losing or any sort of propaganda. Just a little dig into the philosophy and mind of Putin.

Let's say Russia wins, and by winning, I mean, they overrun the Ukrainian military and take over the country, what then? How will the new country operate in a war that favours Russia?

Considering that most Ukrainians seem to be for their country in this war, considering that they all seem united, what exactly is Putin's game plan? Install a new President? How can that work?

Say a new president is installed, how does he function effectively or even survive the hate that will arise from Ukrainians who'd accuse him of trachery? Is the goal to destroy Ukraine or to take it?

If it is destroyed, what then is the gain knowing that the sanctions will not be lifted? If held and a loyalist installed, sanctions too will not be lifted and the likelihood of implosion by the new government high.

Will Ukrainians forget the deaths and destruction and just move on, remaining loyal to a new Pro-Russian government? Will Russians be moved to the destroyed land to start a new civilization? What exactly is Putin's end game? How does one make sense of his Endgame?

You don't have to beg him. This thread will vindicate everyone.
