That happened because the client needed me to help make a payment but I don't advise you take your client off the freelance site.

I've client as old as my freelance carrier, when he mentioned we take the contract off upwork, I told him am cool with us using upwork. 5% won't off my pay is nothing to me. The higher you earn from a particular client, the lower the service charge. 0-500 is 20% service charge, 501-10,000 is 10% and then, from 10,001+ is just 5% service charge, this is cumulative earnings not ar once.

Also, you add to my reputation on the platform, the more your average earnings increase, potential clients have confident to trust you with their jobs.

So my brother, as much as possible, let your clients remain on the platform, don't let them outsmart you.
I try as much as possible to let the clients stay on the platform. Taking them outside may even be too risky at times.
However, I work on Fiverr, so they charge 20% on my end and some extra charges on the client's end.
When she complained, I just deemed it fit to try something out of the platform.
Anyway, thanks for the insightful input.

Yes, one of my clients needed me to make payment for something, he sent me the money via transferwise. You don't need to open an account with them. The sender just need your account details, that's all.

Got the credit alert within 5 mins.

I was quite skeptical about the idea when the client suggested it. Now, you've allayed my fears.
Thanks.

Abeg, let them express themselves on this forum where most people are anonymous. Sharing traumatic experience is a good way to get over it.
@Op.. my father is a great dad. He & my mum are the best I can ever ask for. However, I know lots of people who are not as lucky as I'm. Fathers really need to be educated to do better in raising their kids.

Hello, people. Has anyone received money from a client abroad through Transferwise? Do I need to open Transferwise account to receive funds? What information do I need to supply to receive money through Transferwise? I'll appreciate if anyone can give me relevant answers. Thanks.

Nigerians are funny.
You want to demystify pastorship, but you don't want them to live their lives in peace like other humans.
So, is it sinful for a pastor to play/watch/support football?
Is it wrong for a pastor to go to the cinema/fancy restaurants/any entertainment center to have fun with friends and family?

He probably has been supporting the team before he became a pastor, so he should suddenly forget about his passion for something that is entirely legitimate & not sinful?
Mind you, he didn't celebrate it during church service.
Las las, una go dey alright.

don't know why these french Muslim guys have Christian names
Most of them have one Muslim parent + one Christian parent. So, they choose to be either Muslim or Christian.
For example, Pogba's mum is a Muslim while his deceased father was a Christian. So, he chose to follow mum's religion.

...And I think it's erroneous to think that people don't pay their debt because they don't have it. From my experience, more than 50% of the people owe money for so long because they just don't want to pay.

I understand his pain as I am also owed various sums. One particular guy has been owing me for years and it can be very annoying. Usually the pain does not really stem from need for the money per se, but from knowing someone is calling you a fool with impunity and no remorse. Many debtors can afford to pay what they owe but are too stingy and mean to.

Your last paragraph is what annoys me the most about it.
It's not like they don't have the money, they've just decided to be callous and not pay their debt. They will be doing things worth multiple folds of what they owe you, but they'll never pay you.
To make matter worse for me, I don't even know how to ask people to pay back what they owe me.
Today, people owe me more than 150k and they keep finding reasons not to pay. One usually writes motivational quotes/speeches on Facebook every time. God knows it annoys me every time I see it.
It made me decide not to borrow anyone money again, except my siblings.

Even if the election was fraudulent, is the governor now a law court His party should go to court and not unilaterally sack the elected chairmen. This is bad, supreme court needs to stop this.

gwmlogistic:

This could also imply that the president can sack state governors, this ain't healthy for democracy however it's the norm here and has been going unchecked since 1999

Except you guys want to act oblivious of the fact. We all know that the LG does not have total autonomy. So, yes, the governor can sack them if he so wishes.
Besides, it was the same lack of autonomy that made Ajimobi organize election only in his last year. What has he been doing for the first 7 years?
If LG was as autonomous as you are making it look like now, you think PDP and other parties wouldn't have gone to court to challenge Ajimobi's decision not to conduct election for 7 years?

Why does a state Governor have so much power to sack LG Chairmen. After all, they were also elected just like the Governor.
The election was quite dubious. No other party contested throughout the state except APC.
It was a kangaroo election organized by Ajimobi to put his people in place sometimes last year. The first & only time he did LGA election in his 8 years, I think.

It was expected that Seyi would sack them.
IMO, he acted fast & well.

HOW MANY GAY PEOPLE HAVE BEEN DIAGNOSED IN THE LAST 10 YEARS?

IF THEY ARE 10 IN TOTAL, POSITIVE PEOPLE WITH HIV WILL BE NUMBERING IN MILLIONS.

IT DOESN'T MATTER MUMMY, EVEN YOU WILL DIE.

LOL, NOBODY CARES.

Prevalence is not just about number of diseased individuals. It's about the number of diseased individuals in comparison to their total population.
For instance, if there are 100 gays somewhere and 1,000 straight people. Let's assume 10 gays have HIV while 50 straight individuals have HIV. Although the number of straights with HIV is higher, it's still more prevalent among gays. This is because 10% of gays have while only 5% of straight individuals do.

And yes, gays are at higher risk of having HIV. So, HIV is more prevalent among them. https://www.avert.org/professionals/hiv-social-issues/key-affected-populations/men-sex-men

Mentioned the millionaire who committed suicide and find out why.He/she might probably run out of cash or he/she is in serious debt or he/she was duped.Hence,he/she committed suicide

Without a doubt, some of them killed themselves because of fraud or other money-related issues. However, lots of them committed suicide on issues that are not related to money at all.
Check out this link and see the cause of the death of these ten millionaires: https://top10famous.com/top-10-millionaires-who-committed-suicide-history/

Unsurprisingly, incurable disease, depression, and emotional trauma led to the death of many of them.
Like Pastor Chris said, money can't buy joy. He's a millionaire himself, so he should know.

You can also read this article on the major cause of suicide for rich folks: https://www.millionairebefore50.com/2018/06/why-successful-people-kill-themselves.html/

I'm not even rich Not even close to being rich materially. But the little I've in recent times has shown me I need to find joy & satisfaction in other things apart from money.
There are multimillionaires who committed suicide. I'm sure they wouldn't do so if they had joy.

Yes, I do. Even more than when the account was showing USA as my location. However, like I said earlier, I've multiple reviews before the deportation, so it may not be so easy for anyone starting off with a Nigerian account. Anyway, people are still killing it with Nigerian accounts as long as you've the right skills to make you stand out.

I really want to do freelance starting with writing niche.
Any advice? Which site do you do freelance with.

I use Fiverr. I think Upwork is also okay.
Generally, I think you just have to hone your skills, irrespective of the service that you're offering. Buyers will pay you well if you know your onions.
Furthermore, the need for consistency can never be overemphasized. You may need to buy reviews and even stay on the platform for some weeks before getting any order. So, if you're looking for a get-rich-quick scheme, freelancing may not be ideal for you.i

sonnie10:

You are talking about phones, there are some places in far north where they haven’t seen clothes before

Sure. There are a few uncontacted/crude people in the north. However, they can never be close to that number. In most places where those types of people have ever been found, they're usually less than 10,000 people. You can't have hundreds of thousands of uncontacted people because they lack good healthcare and their quality of life is usually low. In fact, their number often decreases because many of them die from diseases without being replaced.

Most villages have residents or relatives of residents who use phones and can show them what phones look like.
The lie would be quite believable if he had said 30 million Nigerians have never "used" phones.
