Freelancing is a life-saver. ![]() I don't know where I would be without it. I'm really grateful to God and NL. This forum opened my eyes to freelancing and I ain't doing bad. |
Akanoomobowale:No, there should be favoritism in justice. Everyone should be prosecuted equally. If he deserves prosecution, then Adeosun should not have been let off the hook. It's not rocket science. Is it? |
GerrardLFC80:They're better off getting rid of him. He's just one of the many Nigerians who allowed greed kill off their football career. He could have been flourishing at Porto or another small club, but he went to Manchester City and then his potential went south. I've no doubt that we'll struggle for goals in AFCON with this kind of wasteful strikers. |
If you follow football, you will agree that Ihenacho has been piss poor for the whole of the season at Leicester. Even in the Super Eagles' shirt, he is still abysmal. So, he could have missed without intending to do so. Liverpool fans are just looking for who to blame for their self-inflicted woes. Why did they not complain about Cardiff's captain who said he wanted Liverpool to win the league before their recent match against Liverpool. In the game, he fouled Salah in the box to cause a penalty (first image). In the same match, he had the chance to score at 1-0 but still missed it without anybody in the net again (second image). Abeggiiiii!

buharitill2023:Why does being sycophantic make you say anything just to support anyone? So, if someone committed a crime and gave up his/her appointment, so the person's crime would be suddenly forgiven. Right? You guys will never stop to amaze me. I swear. Is it too hard for you to admit that the treatment is unfair? You can't free someone for doing something and prosecute another for doing the same thing. I am done arguing here; you people can never be convinced. Do have a good day. |
Akanoomobowale:You don't have to defend lawlessness for goodness' sake. Why do you people justify irrational acts like this? Not denying forgery doesn't mean Adeosun should be freed, she could only have enjoyed lesser punishment. That's how it works in saner communities. So, there's no justification for freeing her while Adeleke is being prosecuted. They're simply troubling him because of the governorship issue. Ohun ti ko dara ko loruko meji, ko dara naa lon je... Forget political sycophancy and speak the truth for once. |
tyup:The same idiots like you will still come here to complain about the pretty bimbos named slay queens. what do you want? Ode. |
Before opening it, I was almost certain that she doesn't stay in Nigeria. A graduate at 17 and doing wonders academivally already. Something that's very unlikely if you're in this godforsaken country. |
Well, whether you agree or not, what he said is the truth. If we all become an entrepreneur, who'll work for us? Or do you people think all these mushroom/one-man businesses can help a country grow or assist a family have generational wealth? Even those of you doing entrepreneurship for years, how much properties or money do you have in your name? Let some people become strong entrepreneurs while others continue as employees. What we need is a country that caters to the welfare and needs of the citizens (employees & employers). However, everybody can be an investor. Invest in real estate, treasury bills, bonds and other things that can multiply your resources. |
frank317:Listen to yourself, bro. You're contradicting yourself. Your first opinion made it look as if getting married without a job is okay. But now you said you were earning 80k but couldn't marry because you knew the reality on ground. You knew you won't be able to feed an extra mouth. So, tell me, if someone who was earning something avoided getting married because it would make things difficult for him, why would someone jobless (and doesn't earn anything) think about marriage? To me, it doesn't make any sense to get married when you're jobless. By the way, having a job doesn't necessarily mean doing a 9-5 job, it's all about doing something that puts foods on your table. Something you're paid for. |
deltateam:Bro, I was baffled seeing the comments. No wonder people are giving birth to kids they can't feed or take care of. |
The comments here have shown me a lot about the so-called Nigerian youths oo. Let's forget about this message, are you people going to get married without a job? Seriously? Will you get married without a job? Haaaaaaa, we're really doomed if all of you are still stuck with the belief of getting married and expecting things to suddenly turn good because you're married. |
Gerrard59:This is the only post that's reasonable here. We've middle class in Nigeria, but it's rapidly dwindling. Most top executives at government agencies and international/multinational organizations, for example, belong to the middle class. Same thing with some professionals like medical consultants, professors and so. All these people fall under the upper level of the middle class. Then we've people who are doing very okay financially, have a few properties, and can afford to give their family most of the things they want, but lack a few luxury items and can fall off the middle class if any serious disaster occurs. Those ones belong to the lower end of the middle class. |
Mizwisdom:Sorry, but his post doesn't make any sense. Read up the Karl Marx's work he quoted to see for yourself. He's just one of the many pseudointellectuals we've on NL. They'll write rubbish in such a beautiful way that you'll be convinced they're making sense. Alas, they're not. |
aaronson:All you ended up writing is gibberish, garnished with loads of chest-beating. You boasted unnecessarily about your atheism without making much sense. There's no place in the world where the likes of Dangote will be classified as 'middle class'. He's a capitalist and even Karl Marx classified successful capitalists as Bourgeoisie (this is of the same level as Upper class). Read up the same Karl Marx's work you quoted again before writing stuffs here. Many of us are educated and won't take your words hook, line and sinker. By the way, what is the correlation between atheism and intelligence? Well, your atheism should, at least, teach you the difference between 'I'm' and 'Am', the right punctuation marks to use the next time, etc. If not, stop bragging about your pseudo-intelligence. |
R2bees:My introversion doesn't reach that level. I do lead prayers often. I always keep it short though. But I also teach in a religious class regularly, with the majority of the students being adolescents and young adults. It has helped me a lot to speak to people as most of them often see me as a respected figure and would like to speak with me after class/church service. |
Kulushkalash:Really? Lagos has similar characteristics like Jakarta and that's why they are moving the capital out of Jakarta. In lots of countries, the convergence of different groups/ethnicities is not usually a major factor in deciding the capital city. Even without being the capital of Nigeria, Lagos is congested already. So, moving back there will be a very poor decision. It will never happen anyway. |
...only in Lagos. Right? |
That girl is an attention-seeking wh.ore. Useless thing. Without make-up, she'll even look like a man. And that boy is an idiot. I don't know why some guys act like they'll die if they don't chat with or get attention from girls. |
ednut1:Lol.. this is me at the moment. They don't even want to know what you do to make a living; all they are concerned about is when you'll get married. |
jman77:Lol.. I know. I've been inside the GRA a couple of times, and that area is not for common men. I'm just interested in knowing how much they spend on houses there. |
Eneze1:God bless you jare. I live in the same city and I was wondering why the person you quoted & the other guy would be quoting those prices as if they know the prices of all houses in Ibadan. The op is closer to the truth than these other guys are. Location, facilities available, and newness of the properties are the major determinants, and these things are not constant. So, no one can make a big claim about house rents in Ibadan. @Op.. do you have an idea of house rent/land cost in Aerodrome gra. I've always been interested in that area. |
As a freelancer, "Yahoo boy" is one name I've been called a couple of times. Even the so-called educated youths reason this way too. But then again, many young people are into Yahoo, and they all operate under the disguise of digital marketing, freelance stuff etc to perpetrate their evils. So it's hard to blame anyone for having such thoughts. |
Daeylar:Lol.. as if you don't know most of the people on this forum are goats. Most of them don't have anything working for them in real life. So, they derive pleasure from bringing others down. Thank God the guy is a reasonable person who knows the gem he has found. |
thunderfirebuha:Perhaps you didn't notice; check the names of the men and women in those pictures, and you'll notice that they're all well-meaning Nigerians from different parts of the country, particularly South. It's only people like you who don't have anything working for you that are more concerned about ethnicity/tribe. These ones are busy making it in life that they ain't deeply concerned about those things. Improve your life and your eyes will open to things beyond ethnicity/tribes. |
JasonScoolari:Answers to most of these questions are quite glaring. 1. I don't think it's a crime to appreciate someone after having a little business with them. I do it every time. #1,500 may not be as much to the guy as it seems to you. 2. Check the screenshot, the driver's picture is there. So, he obviously took the picture from the driver's DP on WhatsApp. 3. There's no big deal in posting screenshot. By the way, what's the point of this question? You need evidence that he paid extra? Well, the driver didn't argue when he asked for the #36,000 he mistakenly transferred. I'm sure the driver is not dumb; he would have protested if he didn't get the money. My opinion: he was unnecessarily generous while the driver acted like a typical greedy Nigerian. |
But the stretch marks on arms/shoulders are cool sha. ...some of the guys saying gibberish on this thread are just being hypocritical. The stretch marks on their mama's body can draw the map of Africa, but you won't see them call that disgusting/horrible/unappealing. |
Yahoo boys are defending each other.. lol
Y'all will rot in jail. |
Lots of educated folks are daft to be candid. NURTW is a registered body and only professional drivers can be members. A professional is someone who earns a living from a particular work/activity. Check your dictionary if you've a doubt. While thugs may be among them, it'll be dumb to assume all members are thugs. Some of you, educated mofos, even have parents & uncles who are members. Besides, do we not have doctors who do abortions illegally in Nigeria. That makes such doctors criminal, should we now assume all doctors are criminals? Make una use una head, abegi. |
LabUdegbe:Lol.. no personal beef, bro. ![]() |
LabUdegbe:Reading and comprehension are the problems you have. The writeup says "the room smells like weed", not roommate. But because you wanted to justify the action, "room" suddenly became "roommate". |
