Eastbay: But Sauron, you said I was talking thrash when last season I alluded to th e fact that CQ's departure might be responsible for United's dip in form/performance. So why now is CQ a factor in some players , Nani included, not giving their best? CQ's departure was not responsible for United's dip last season cos United's squad is not 100% Latino players. Our dip in form last season was because of the way the fixtures played out. . . .Playing difficult away games back to back and etc. Does your point sound viable? Sauron,CR isn't the only player who plays on both wings. Arjen Robben can still do it.Robert Pires did it.Freddie Ljunberg did it.So Nani should be able to do it as well,if at all he's all that. Robben's right foot is as useless as Ando's right foot. Pires is versatile but then how good is he as an out n out winger. Ljunberg cannot use his left foot to score a penalty, never mind crossing with it. I still recall you anointing him CR's successor. You said he had been in CR's shadows. It was his time to shine:it shouldn't matter what wing he's playing. I don't dispute saying this but i am just saying to get the best out of Nani. . . .the right wing will suit him more. It is only from there he can breeze past defenders and deliver a cross without checking to shift the ball to his left foot. I watch Portugal's games a lot and Nani was the MOTM in about 4 games playing on the right wing for them. |

Emperoh: SO tevez was now affected by CQs departure no longer cos he was not a good player? Hmm I can recall posts with you rriling Tevez and his lack of ball control skills He deteriorated. . . . Of course, CQ had his own way of nurturing the Latino players. Before he left, all those boys were on their A-game. Nothing could stop them from giving consistent performance week in week out. Can u say the same these days? Even the Da Silva brothers? you praised them to High heavens and suddenly they are no more good cos CQ left? Leave out CR7 cos he left on his own Volition. . . . .so look for another reason mate!! Ol boi, the way wey u dey take change mouth, u be PDP member? Read and understand what i am telling you. . . . .stop skipping like a scratched CD. I am not saying these players are not good or are wack. . . . .I said there was a slight drop in their level of performance since CQ left. Nani has regressed massively. He is no longer the explosive player he used to be but he performs very well for Portugal. Even without Ronaldo in the last stages of the WCQ, he was absolutely brilliant. Valencia nko? Mate, he has justified his selection. he has also improved. And his crosses? I haven't seen anything better since Gary of old days!! Nani wasn't this poor in his first season. Judge Valencia next season after the novelty surrounding his arrival at OT has been put to bed. Nani has lost it. . . CR7 was always comfortable to play in any of the wing. Look for another reaosn for Nani, the ones above don't hold water!! So every winger must be like CR7 cos he was comfortable to play in any wing? Can Valencia play on the left wing? It seems you drink burukutu every friday before coming on NL. |

debosky: Many things - if he wasn't with us, he wouldn't have gotten a Nike advert. Cameron Jerome plays for Birmingham and he copped a contract with Nike when he was still a Championship player. Furthermore, we've paid his wages all through his multiple injuries for England and have consistently stood by him when he had his two shoulder surgeries which were genetic defects. We paid Saha's wages and consistently stood by him too. . . . .Saha copped £90k per week in 2007/8 and he made only 6 league starts that season. What else do you want us to do? Pay him £90,000 a week. |

Eastbay: Sauron, Let's give thanks and praise to jah rastafari for Nani being able to deliver a cross to Owen to score. Let's now pray he uses his brains while on the left wing. Cus Fergie ain't mismanaging his career like you'd want us to believe. The boy is a plonker. Full stop. All the South American players under Fergie deteriorated after Carlos Queiroz left in 2008. Nani. . .check! Tevez(before he left). . .check! Anderson. . .check! Ronaldo(before he left). . .check!! Da Silva brothers. . . .check!!! I am now 100% certain Fergie does not know how to manage these kinda players cos of the culture clash. If you praise a Latino 1000 times and criticise him just once. . . . .He will only remember the criticism and this is where we miss Carlos Queiroz. Fergie knows best,as evidenced by the win in Germany. The way that black vanilla ice is going,he'll flush his United career down the toilet with his own hands. He better make the left wing his own, before Obertan does. Cus he can't displace Valencia from the right. Or which was CR7's best foot before he became WPOTY? Isn't he (pu-Nani)your anointed successor to CR? Valencia is a new bride so i expect him to be cotton-wrapped till the end of the season. Tevez was also like that in 2007/8 but as soon as we got Berbatov, Tevez was dropped like a sack of taters. Now tell me, how many games has Berba started this season? If Valencia fails to work on his left foot and start hitting crosses with them then his career at OT might even be shorter than that of Apache. Fergie is playing him now not necessarily because he is a good player. . . . .but he must PLAY him to justify his acquisition. debosky: Obertan's arrival has marked the end of Nani's Utd career - he will be gone by the summer at the latest. Obertan has a lot to learn yet. . . . . . .He is not direct and he cannot tip the balance of a game the way Nani can. Nani can hit it from 40 yards a la Ronaldo when he is in the mood. |

debosky: Deserve? How can we determine whether someone 'deserves' something?
As long as the bankers are following the rules of their industry, doing what they are supposed to do according to the law, then they do deserve the incomes they obtain.
It may not sound 'fair', but life isn't fair - as long as it is by the rules. U must be very intelligent. |

Romance › Re: This Igbo guy ohhh! by Sauron1: 1:58am On Dec 11, 2009 |
fiswu: I'm a tall, black, beautiful (with 8 figure) and educated Haitian girl (about to end my degree in engineering) who met a 25 years old igbo man from a good family (still university student) 2 years ago at an university campus. He is a charming and handsome guy also. When we first met he seemed very nice, but (around this period of time) he had stood me up so many times and always came back with an excuse (promised to make it up to me). We have stop talking so many times because of all this (he called until I answered). After a while, He finally claimed that it was because he wasn't stable (but the last time we saw each other, he told me he is now).
This summer I went to visit him because we're not leaving in the same state (he was suppose to come but again money problem). We spent a good time (no sex, I refused because we're not in a relationship), and he even paraded me in front of his friends. During my stay, he maked me listen to songs who says that I'm the type of girl he was looking for (he said nothing); he said that I'll bring money to his family (with no explanations). I also discovered that I more than like him, and he likes me also (he has always refused my friendship though).
My problem is that I don't understand him (he said he don't understand me neither). He keeps claiming that everything that happen between us is meant to be, but still acting weird. In the biginning, I admit that I wasn't easy on his ego. I even tell him that he don't fit in my category (so I'll never have anything to do with him- I was angry because of his attitude), but since I realised that I was wrong I started checking up on him once every week (calls/texts, he reciprocate only if I stop for a long time).
Sometimes when I call or send him a text he will not answer. Finally, I confronted him and give him a choice (no more contact or answer). He told me that everything was allright and we should keep in touch. I just don't understand because I don't play games.
People, I need your toughts on this matter, please! Both of you are too immature to be in a relationship. Concentrate on your mathematics and general science. |

olafolarin: "talk is cheap" so says the American adage. We are all free to say or write whatever we feel but it is completely immoral for us to distort truth. Lagos is a former capital that ahs been deglected over the years. The infrastructures are ALMOST DESTROYED and the traffic is nerve-breaking. LASTMA brought fear into the minds of drivers as they are fined heavily for ever traffic offence. This is to enforce discipline and ensure that we follow laid down traffic rules. The fine paid in germany for traffic offences is 10X more than what LASTMA is demanding. No economy develops without one form of tax or the other. We all enjoy good roads, bridges, etc. They dont come free.Tax is a moral responsibility not a financial liability.
If it is too much for you, PLEASE RELOCATE TO NEIGHBOURING OGUN OR OYO STATE OR BETTERSTILL YOUR STATE OF ORIGIN. I agree with everything you said except the sentence in bold.U cannot compare Germany to Nigeria as far as traffic offence is concerned. The minimum wage in Germany is not the same as the one in Nigeria but i agree 100% that Lagosians should be taxed and that has to be within what they can afford. If it gets too hot for the populace, let them relocate. |
