According to him, the idea of a 12.4 billion dollars oil windfall only exists in the imagination of those who are largely unfamiliar with the issues of that era, saying that there was nothing like 12.4billion dollars windfall.

Afegbua, who is the Acting National Chairman of National Democratic Party (NDP), said the character of those who are mushrooming as social activists and human rights defenders and their chief sponsors are nothing to write home about as they have all soiled their hands in corruption but hide under the cloak of activism to divert attention.

"There have been several orchestrated media reports, vaunted as they were, to discredit the personable character of Nigeria's former president, General Ibrahim Babangida whose records of achievements
